@PikachusSmarterBrother , I live somewhere that could be listed both as Surrey and Outer London, it takes me longer to get through the list but at the same time I guess it gives me twice as many possibilities.

Ames85 · 29/12/2022 22:21

The website says there must be at least 100,000 in the area in order to use your postal town. I was a bit disappointed when I realised there are at least 100,000 holders where I live, as I’ve seen it on the big winners list

@Ames85 , thanks, that’s very interesting

I’m confused about why people are looking through the list. Would you not have had an email or text notification by then?

I’m confused about why people are looking through the list. Would you not have had an email or text notification by then?

Not sure about texts but emails don’t come out for a couple of days after.

The list comes out. Then a day or so later the App updates. Then an email after that. In December, I think the app gave the results on 2nd and my email came on the 3rd.

The app says the results will be out on the 4th this month. So I imagine the emails will be the 5th.

I usually just wait for the App as I have mine and my kids on there so can check them all at once.

The email also requires you to sign in to see what you have won, which can be a pain as sometimes there’s a queue to get on the site. The most I have won is £500 so if you get a larger amount you might get an email earlier.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/12/2022 10:33

I check the list usually few mins after it comes out at midnight as I’m awake /working

I have an unusual number of bonds at the end so if my county comes up I then check to see how many that winner has and if says 123 on the end I know /hope it’s mine

but as I’ve never won anything over £100 I have never seen my amount there

nect day I press the app and hope to see a singing lady in the rain or boy and boat /carrot and know I’ve won £25

I check it as soon as I can, usually lunchtime - in NZ so we are 13 hours in front of UK.

Dougieowner · 30/12/2022 11:16

Another one wondering why people are looking at a list.
Why not just use the Prize Checker as you don't need all your log-in details?

Agree that emails are slow coming out.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/12/2022 11:18

@Dougieowner you don’t need log in details for the list

and that comes out a day or so before the app shows

ChessieFL · 30/12/2022 11:42

I look at the list because it comes out earlier than the results on the prize checker. My emails have always been a couple of days after the results are shown on the prize checker. I don’t know when text alerts are sent as I’m not signed up to them.

Never won a big prize though, maybe emails/texts for them are sent out at the same time the list is published?

LadyFlumpalot · 30/12/2022 11:42

I've done really well over 2022. At least one prize a month since July, peaking at £100 in November and £125 in December. Fingers crossed for good luck for all in 2023.

RubbishDay · 30/12/2022 12:57

The list is out 1 day before the prize checker.

It takes about 5 mins to open link, sort by area and then quickly scan down to check holdings/date/amount.

It's a very quick way to see if you might have won £100,000 down to £5000. If it looks promising it might be another 5 mins to open the account app (not the prize checker to see if the bond number matches).

Then the next day you have the prize checker.

Given that most of us have premium bonds over other investments for the 'chance' of winning big it means three days (agent million day before the list) of excitement.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/12/2022 08:22

According to this link here - it's says the millionaire will be contacted the day before the first working day of the month

So today??

NoodleDoodleDo · 30/12/2022 13:19

I won a £25 and £50 in December, plus £25 in November. Nothing the first 10 months of the year. We've got £10k in there. Decided to move it out of savings into PB for a chance of winning big

Fingers crossed for 2023 draws

neptunanna · 30/12/2022 17:54

So can we access any information today about any of the December prize winners?

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/12/2022 18:54

Dec yes as that’s nearly a month old

January no

Nadal · 30/12/2022 13:10

So today??

If it’s the day before the first working day (3rd) I think that would be the 2nd Jan? Different to the last working day of the month.

(Good news if so as I had no knock today!)

OneFrenchEgg · 30/12/2022 19:07

Thanks for posting about the app @Blondeshavemorefun just downloaded it and I have more Bonds than I realised - over £7k hooray!

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/12/2022 19:23

@OneFrenchEgg how can you not know how many you have 🙀🙀😂😂

OP posts:
OneFrenchEgg · 30/12/2022 19:23

I know! I cashed some in and then repaid some and forgot 😄 happy forgetfulness this time 🎉

PurplePositivity · 30/12/2022 21:31

Just checking in on this new thread so I can let you know when I get the call about the million Wink

Jumbojem · 30/12/2022 22:43

Ok, I've dug out my old PB slip. I only had £200 worth so not surprising never won! I've started the registration for online but it says they need to check my details?!
I've also bought £5k worth with my savings via bank transfer so I hope they means my extra ones will be in the Feb draw but not sure if left it too late.
OH had a win almost every month in the second half of this year, but nothing more than £75.
Fingers crossed for 2023!

Cudz · 31/12/2022 16:28

Just been sat doing some life admin while I'm off work and I have transferred some of my ds's Xmas and birthday money into premium bonds so he now has £27k which I believe is the tipping point of when you are more likely to win prizes from what I have read. Would love for him to win the million so it would set him up for life. Come on Agent Million give us a knock on the door this Monday 🙏
