New thread for when old one is full and for October - exciting time as lots more prizes for October - less £25 ones but many more £50

Friday 30th is last working day of the month so maybe one of us will get THAT VISIT - saying won a million - blondes faints

wouldn’t it be lovely if we all won something even £50 in October

£325 for OH and £50 for me. Most we have ever won. Both have full holdings.

icecoffeeisland · 02/11/2022 09:10

Another rubbish month, with £25 on 50K. My return this year (so far) has been terrible, at only 0.65%. I can't bring myself to take any money out though, my fear of missing out on a big win is too much!

SavingsThreads · 02/11/2022 09:26

InTheCludgie · 02/11/2022 08:53

£100 on full holdings, same as last month. December is my PB 'anniversary' month so I've done a count of my winnings for this PB year, £600 in total. As long as I at least match the interest rate then I'm happy!

Isn't that a lot less than the interest rate? Works out at 1.2%?

Caterina99 · 02/11/2022 09:47

£25+£25+£50 for both me and DH on 25k each holdings. So £200 total. That’ll pay for a few Christmas presents!

DD won £50 on about 5k, although nothing for DS on similar.

DH has won so much more than me in the 6 months we’ve had the bonds, even though we have the same amount each.

Snowpaw · 02/11/2022 09:51

Nothing on full holdings for me
£100 on close to full holdings for my DD

InTheCludgie · 02/11/2022 09:52

You're right @SavingsThreads for some reason I thought the rate was still 1%! That'll be why I've been getting bigger prizes the last few months!

recklessgran · 02/11/2022 09:54

£25 for DH on full holdings - he really isn't very lucky but refuses to cash in and go elsewhere for a better return. He's won £500 altogether so far this year.
1 x £100 plus 1 x £50 for me. Very happy with that.

bonzaitree · 02/11/2022 10:00

Benjispruce4 · 02/11/2022 07:43

@bonzaitree thats amazing! We have never won more than £25 and we have £20k and have done for several years

I'm super chuffed I have to say!

Silkierabbit · 02/11/2022 10:05

Nothing on full holdings

KevinsChilli · 02/11/2022 10:10

2nd time in a row on £20k with no winnings.
Also didn't win in Sept draw on full holdings.

Think I will definitely withdraw the remainder now as missing out on guaranteed £45 a month with current savings rates.

fromdownwest · 02/11/2022 10:26

£100 on FH.

Hugasauras · 02/11/2022 10:42

£100 on 4K for me and same last month so I've been very lucky! 0 for DH on 20k and £50 for DD1 on £17k.

Ames85 · 02/11/2022 10:53

SavingsThreads · 02/11/2022 08:33

I finally won!!! I'm the poster with horrendous luck on £40k, (only a couple of £25s this year).

I won a £250!

That’s great news. I’m really pleased for you. Hopefully your luck has turned

theAntsareMyFriends · 02/11/2022 10:58

Nothing on 20k. I've been eligible for 8 months and this is only the second time I've had nothing but its come at a time when I am considering other options as the interest rates are rising. I'll leave it 1 more month then have a think.

I've won £200 in 8 months so still getting as much as I would have done if I'd gone with the Chase account so not too bad yet.

Its interesting that there seem to be quite a few with nothing despite the prize increase.

Myleakycauldron · 02/11/2022 11:06

Alexandra2001 · 02/11/2022 07:11

£100 on 40k, pleased with that.

Same for us! Not had a good year so this helps the average winnings significantly (although we are still below average with only one month to go)

PurplePositivity · 02/11/2022 11:14

I won £150, two £25s and £100, super chuffed with that on a £30k holding. DH won £50 on £25k holding.

Over the year we've definitely beaten the interest rates and our cash ISAs have gone down quite a bit, they're long term savings so I sort of ignore those.

Quarique · 02/11/2022 12:13

what is the app called? I'm a bit of a beginner and am not sure which one to download.

sashagabadon · 02/11/2022 12:22

£25 for me

InMySpareTime · 02/11/2022 12:40

@Quarique it's called prize checker and it looks like this:

Apart from me winning big obvs(!), I would be so happy to read on this thread that a MNetter had won a really big prize.
I was so happy to see the £100k winner share her news on the PB Facebook group a couple of months ago.
Otherwise you wouldn't hear real stories and the big prizes almost don't seem real.
£100k+ would be life changing for me in that I could (and would) leave my p/t low paid but bloody stressy and demanding job.

JubileeTrifle · 02/11/2022 12:49

Checked and we’ve had £900 in the last 6 months. So it works out at 1.8% if that was a full year. It’s not amazing.
one bigger win though would throw that number up, it’s the potential to win that traps me!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2022 13:20

Lots of winners and so far @SavingsThreads think you are our highest winner 🌟🌟

I do it on one lot of £50k

not over people who have several £50k worth in their family

applecharlotte12 · 02/11/2022 13:51

Nowt for me on £18.5k ☹️

Carpediem15 · 02/11/2022 13:53

1 - £100 and 1 - £25 on full holding.

Hubby got nothing on full holding and is not a happy bunny.🐇😕

Bemoredog · 02/11/2022 14:14

£500 on full holdings. The most I've ever won!
