Yes it’s the 71st thread focused on exposing the lies of MLMs and the deceptions practiced by so/called ‘leaders’ who recruit recruit recruit!
You will only lose money if you join their ‘team’ - don’t do it!

Are the laws in NZ stricter re MLMs I wonder

No, it's clear that they just don't have enough orders and orders are now being fulfilled from Sydney.
There's a a load of guff about the world getting smaller, FL continues to grow (yes but not in the traditional markets) so therefore they are closing the NZ office and getting rid of the area manager.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 11/07/2022 08:59

I think that at a time when people are having to look very carefully at their household budgets, many people will be coming to the conclusion that their 'side hustle' is actually an expenditure they can't afford.

Spongebobette · 11/07/2022 19:09

I don’t think Castle’s ex BFF has enough content for an Insta account. She’s using her kids a LOT

Absolutely. And ‘side hustles’ are attracting a lot of interest for people. They’re great if you can find something that works for you, there’s many options out there. However the current circumstances means that people will be a lot more discerning about what they choose to spend their time and money on.

Which I hope means no extra growth for mlms.

YouOKHun · 11/07/2022 22:01

Agree @Twentytwentyhindsight. The twit who runs the DSA (with absolutely no understanding of MLM) seems to be under the impression that the cost of living crisis will be every bit as exploitable as the pandemic (which, as we all know, provided a much needed shot in the arm for MLMs in terms of their main activity and purpose; recruitment). It’s so different now, much more risk aversion and less money to be “your own best customer” and every bot’s social network in similar dire straits. I think this equals less joiners, more early quitters and more fence sitters deciding to finally quit.

I think the “£39 a month, quit any time, no strings” approach of C&F has been carefully constructed to override people’s concerns specific to these tough times. It feels like it’s low cost, a defined amount and easy to reverse away from; just what the doctor ordered right now. It’s a shame some people haven’t realised just how aggressive things will get when they want to quit (October; when it’s obvious it’s a sham and the fuel bills start to bite). It’s a shame those people didn’t reach the conclusion that many are doing about the side hustle costing more than it makes. Most of the C&F bios were very much in Last Chance Saloon, trying to give their bizniz a last go. It’s those people C&F have gone after. It disgusts me. I just hope they didn’t manage to convert many of the VIP page followers into paying customers.

@Spongebobette from what I understand from Aussie antiMLMers, NZ and Australia have the same approach as the U.K. in dealing with MLM; they will slap the wrists of those with illegal product but do f all about the problem of being recruitment devices. I wonder if FLNZ has told its “distributors”?

HairyMcLarie · 11/07/2022 22:49

@YouOKHun yes they told their FBOs in an FBO Facebook group via an official HO letter.

One of the responses to the letter says 'we've all tried so hard over the years but its been so tough to convert NZ'ers into FBOs and customers'

Well done Kiwis for your cynicism!

Castle now has a ‘student President’ in her ‘university’
🙄

Btw ‘insanely’ has replaced ‘massively’ as an intensifier in MLM bot speak

I wonder which toadie has signed up for that ‘role’?

Any student union protests about student debt yet?

I just don’t get how that many women have been roped into a clearly amateur outfit.
the cringe videos, the comical matching jackets, even the name. It is all so laughable.

fromdownwest · 12/07/2022 14:36

Did anyone explore the usage of the term University by our esteemed lecturers?

Castle is going hard on the 'student' angle.

spanfan · 12/07/2022 17:41

I think it might be. I've not got time for a deep dive today but Google tells me that in the UK it might be. I think the US is slightly different . I can't post a link for some reason thought. Argh.

SnoogyWoo · 12/07/2022 19:16

Can we get them shut down before they start!

Now that would be quite something - how to run a business

Traceyfudge77 · 12/07/2022 19:24

Well of course only one of them is actually living within the jurisdiction of English (and Welsh) law. I do wonder what her local trading standards would have to say.

YouOKHun · 12/07/2022 20:27

Gibraltar is based on English law so I imagine that’s what will apply to the company if it’s registered there. I don’t know about protected titles but there is plenty about misrepresentation.

YouOKHun · 12/07/2022 20:36

Did anyone see that Gok Won was paid to DJ at Tropic’s “festival” 🙄

gottaloveascamhun · 12/07/2022 20:48

Lol at Gok Wan
And Mr Motivator. My colleague went to that tropic festival. I bet it cost an absolute bomb with all the added extras.

On the other hand I've been to an actual festival this weekend and had a bloody brilliant time with nobody hassling me or being fake

NormalForNuneaton · 12/07/2022 21:46

Bit late to the party as I've been on holiday and for some reason couldn't post on this thread ( it was a real holiday where I didn't have to spend time posting about my biz, hassle my team to make sure they weren't slacking, try and recruit every bar person or waiter that I came across or spend my time in a venue whooping at other bots!)

Anyway, re: Yawn's day trip to Devon and then a day trip to Manchester the following day ...if she truly had "money and time freedom" then she would have made a mini-break of those trips. It's been beautiful weather so a few days away would have been obvious but instead she's spent hours on the motorway 2 days running. Aspirational lifestyle right there...NOT!

Spongebobette · 13/07/2022 07:03

Love Bruv’s Insta posts showing Castle having a full roast dinner
veganism lasted about ten minutes then

Let's hope for 'the £39 gang' that her latest venture lasts longer than veganism! or Peltaton, or Podcast a day, or a printing business, or a planner business, or 10k steps a day, or a home gym, or a pool, or a youtube channel, or a motor home.... lol - she is truly tragic

Taken from a VERY snobby post about garden bars on here; this is someone's description of chavvy. Whilst I hate the term and the general sneery tone of anyone who uses it, I have to say that the first person I thought of was Yawn...

"Sofa or white goods in front garden, time spent in sportswear hugely disproportionate to time spent exercising, member of one of those weird families where uncles and/or aunts are same age or younger than niblings, grey French bulldog to match grey crushed velvet sofa (bonus points if on the "never never"), visits Skegness and enjoys it, white financed Audi, wears one of those wanky GG belts"

spanfan · 13/07/2022 13:11

I want to know if f and Cs new staff actually get paid for their work. I suspect not

Gosh she hits several of those!
