Two lots of £25 for me on approx 22K but nothing for DS on 8K

Sharpkat · 02/08/2022 17:31

£75 on full holdings here. Seems to be the same every month for me.

One day......

KohlaParasaurus · 02/08/2022 18:37

£25 on £30,000 holdings. Not going to turn it down.

After seeing that someone with £5 holdings from 1964 had a win, I'm going to run my five £1 bonds from 1964 through the checker.

KohlaParasaurus · 02/08/2022 19:01

Nope, it appears not to have been me 🙁

DaydreamerBetty · 02/08/2022 19:17

Nothing this month, haven’t won for 9 months now since I’ve taken some out, have approx £8,600. Might add £1,000 at the end of the month.

Grrrpredictivetex · 02/08/2022 20:09

I didn't realise the picture changes depending on amounts won, something else to get me excited next month. Sad but true. 🥳

I have never had a different picture - OH won £50 and 6 £25's today and the picture was just present boxes and has always been - my £25 was the same. Where do the other pictures appear ?

Sharpkat · 02/08/2022 20:13

I always have the child with the ice cream picture. Only ever win in £25 or £50 multiples.

OneFrenchEgg · 02/08/2022 20:17

I feel like the picture is random

I've won £25 on max holdings. Beginning to think PBs are a mug's game and when my mortgage is up for renewal I'm gonna pull it all out and pay down the mortgage.

Change my mind

Open a chase account and you'll have a guaranteed £62.50 per month. I'll go back to PB at some point, I just didn't win enough to justify a decent amount of cash sat in there.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/08/2022 20:42

@Carpediem15 I always have a lady dancing in the rain

seems others have ice cream. Boy and presents

£50 on just over 20k. Pleased with this. It means I'm averaging £30 a month which is the same as I would have got from the Chase account and I get the excitement of feeling like I've "won"!

BugsInTheBed · 02/08/2022 22:00

Wow the ants! Ive not won in 6 months goes to find out what the chase a/c is

WobblyLondoner · 02/08/2022 22:01

@userxx post is food for thought. I've not made anything approaching £65 a month on my full holding. Hmmm

Glad to be of service! If you don't mind tying your money up for 12 months there is an account offering 2.84%, not bad at all.

Gufo · 03/08/2022 07:43

£25 for DH and none for me this month. We are averaging 1% so could do better - will leave something in PBs as like the monthly excitement even if we are reducing our chances by moving it elsewhere!

LilacLaurel · 03/08/2022 08:30

@userxx is spot on, this month was my deciding month of whether to keep in PB's or move to my chase account as I have been winning barely anything. I did actually win £50 this month but have still decided to move £30k to my chase account as that way with the money I already have in there I will be getting nearly £50 a month guaranteed, plus will still have a decent amount in PB's to keep the excitement going!

EllenWaiteourkid · 03/08/2022 12:43

Can someone please explain the Chase account ?

Myleakycauldron · 03/08/2022 14:47

£75 a month but still averaging poorly for the year

Can someone please explain the Chase account ?

Chase is an American bank that is making headway over here partially by offering good interest rates.

Greenfrog78 · 03/08/2022 16:14

My dad bought premium bonds 45 years ago ( only £700) but thought he would have maybe won at least £10 in that time, hes now signed them over to me.i know chances are slim because people have alot more than us. Has anyone ever won with little amount? We are keeping them just for fun just on the chance our numbers ever come up. Also what is full holdings?

UrsulaPandress · 03/08/2022 16:52

£50k is the maximum you can have.

blametheparents · 03/08/2022 17:32

£1100 across two lots of full holdings (me and DH!
Best month for prizes ever!

UrsulaPandress · 03/08/2022 17:39

Wow.
