I think what Castle is discovering is that she's only worth anything to FLP if she brings in more fresh blood to fleece, and that the fleecing has to be of the CC kind.
Fleecing existing minions through overpriced stationery and clothing tat or laughable 'masterclasses' brings the firm nothing, and they'll quite happily switch off the limelight she needed to keep the 'little people' in thrall.
BFF seems ultra keen to grab that spot though; I can't imagine things are cordial between them!
Unlike in the heyday when head office would have had any number of fools asking to be fleeced, there is no queue of wannabe boss babes to farm out to the chosen few. If there are any, they certainly won't be going to Castle...
