New thread for us for June draw

Let’s hope we all win something next month

OP posts:
PropertyFlipper · 04/10/2021 10:59

£25 on £10k. Won £25 in May, June and October.
Better than a slap in the face I suppose.

FedUpWithBriiiiick · 04/10/2021 14:52

Just signed up so I'm checking in! Probably not in the draw until December...

Iveputmyselfonthenaughtystep · 04/10/2021 15:48

I've just swept some excess from my current account in as the £300 I had in pbs won nothing in the last year.
I current have about £5k in my Halifax savers acct so I can qualify for the savers' prize draw. Would it be better off in pbs?

(Halifax saver's draw odds copied from Google)
Odds about one in 1,750
Prizes, drawn each month for a year, range from one jackpot of £100,000, to 8,000 winners of £100 each. The odds of winning a prize are about one in 1,750

Dyrne · 04/10/2021 22:26

Finally managed to check today - £25 on £10K holdings. That takes me up to 1% “interest”/winnings so far this year - pretty happy with that!

userxx · 05/10/2021 07:17

@Hollyhead

Nothing on full holdings for the 5th month running - so so unlucky!

Your luck will turn soon 🤞

RainingYetAgain · 05/10/2021 08:29

I got the email today confirming £25 this month. That's £75 this year.
Ds got £25 as well, which makes £175 this year.

mrsm43s · 05/10/2021 11:17

£125 on full holdings this month (5*£25), the most I've ever won in a month!

I topped up to full holdings (from about £1500)in May, with June being the first draw. Nothing in June, £50 in July, nothing in August and then £50 in September and now £125 in October. £225 over 5 draws, so probably about right statistically.

BonnesVacances · 05/10/2021 11:21

I won £25 this morning. I've not had them long so was quite excited by the levels of authentication required to login and was convinced I'd won a big sum. Grin Anyway, I only have £1000-ish in there and this is the second £25 I've won since April. So pretty pleased with that.

That’s a better than average return for sure!
FreeBritnee · 05/10/2021 12:22

Zero this month, £25 last month. DP zero last month, £25 this month. £72,000 gross savings so I’m not sure we’re doing that well 🥴

DeathWinsAGolfish · 05/10/2021 12:25

£25 x 2 for me
£25 x 1 for DH
Dd1 Dd 2 zilch

PetuniaButterworth · 05/10/2021 19:51

Zilch for me and DD on 4K

damonhudnall · 06/10/2021 14:16

I can't remember the last time I won, starting to think my money would be better placed elsewhere? Does anyone have any advice? Should I just wait it out?

Dyrne · 06/10/2021 23:17

@damonhudnall unfortunately interest rates are pretty shit everywhere so unless you’re willing to take a little bit of risk there aren’t many decent options.

Personally, I have my Emergency Fund in premium bonds - this is money I may need to access urgently so I take the “loss” against inflation etc as payment for having the guaranteed cash available within days. Any winnings for me is a bonus.

I also have some money in my Club Lloyds Monthly Saver account - i can only put a certain amount in but if I don’t touch this for a year I’ll get 1.5%. Not much but at least it’s guaranteed.

I also have some money going into a Vanguard S&S ISA invested in an index fund - this is more risky but the idea is that it’s money locked away for the long term (10+ years) which should smooth out any bumps in the road. Historically it’s risen by about 5% year on year.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 06/10/2021 23:35

£25 for me on 20K holdings. (£200 winnings in the last six months)
2 x £25 for DH on 40K. (£325 in the last six months)

DrMadelineMaxwell · 06/10/2021 23:37

I have the same club account, Dyrne. I can put in £400 max and I'm happy with that amount of interest compared to some accounts, for instant access. I do miss when it was a 3% return, but that's slowly eroded to 1.5%.

I also like my free cinema tickets that come with it.

redastherose · 07/10/2021 00:10

£25 for me this month. That's £100 in the last 6 months on the maximum.

FAQs · 07/10/2021 09:05

Ive just checked and won £175 in the last six months on £20k. I’ve also got a small amount in shares but that is working as well.

Someaddedsugar · 12/10/2021 07:35

I've just calculated our winnings and we've won £125 on £29k - not sure whether that's a good amount of winnings or not. That's since March this year, so £125 over 6/7 months depending on when our first eligible month was.

DS has won £25 on his £1190 - really pleased with that amount!

Thank you again to those of you on here that helped me with my original PB queries over on a separate thread - slowly getting that house deposit built up!

earsup · 12/10/2021 19:41

£375 wins on the 50k since Feb so very happy....halifax was only paying 0.01%...

h0rsewithn0name · 27/10/2021 14:06

Is it too early for me to move onto PB alert? This will be my first draw, so I'm very excited.

101namesforme · 27/10/2021 14:49

@h0rsewithn0name get excited as you wish! Enjoy the hope and fantasy of being the £1m winner Grin

I'm on the 5th month of £30k and have had absolutely nothing so far so am at the stage where I'll be really pissed off if I don't at least get £25 this month!

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/10/2021 16:47

Def not. It’s near the end of the month so we get excited

OP posts:
Eaumyword · 27/10/2021 17:17

I'm starting to get excited (and hopeful) too!

FedUpWithBriiiiick · 27/10/2021 17:31

Newbie here! Excited to start this journey 😁

Started off with £3k. Am I right in thinking that since I got my bonds on 4th Oct, that my first draw won't be until December?
