New thread for us for June draw

Let’s hope we all win something next month

£50 on full holdings here. I was hoping this would be the big one as we are about to withdraw most of it to go towards a house purchase, but we'll leave a couple of hundred in and focus on the fact it only takes one bond to win big :)

£25 this month for me. Better than a poke in the eye and takes us to nearly a grand in the 15 months we've had PBs. It was only supposed to be a short term thing but the work we need done on the house is taking longer to organise than we thought so any winnings in the meantime are a nice bonus.

I won nothing on full holding, DH won £50 on full holding this month.

I think I've won £25 on £7.5k. Could be worse!!

Nothing for me or DH but the DCs both have £25, they both have relatively small holdings so they have more than beaten bank interest rates.

No luck this time on £1500, I think my £25 on £500 a couple of months ago was very lucky.

I'm SURE my late mum had premium bonds as she spoke about them when I'm younger but Grandma thinks not. Going to send off the tracing form in both my, and her name just to make sure as I wind down the estate!

In the meantime I've just opened my own with £25 as I've always loved the idea of them. I have significant inheritance coming my way so will then look to max my holdings and invest the rest somewhere else while we look to buy a house.

I'm at £225 for the year now, which works out at about 0.5% interest. So that's probably about 'average' I think? At least I've had a few winners!

That is indeed unlucky and disappointing Holly as illustrated by the MSE PB calculator, which says that, with maximum holdings, the chances of not winning anything in 6 months (you can't do it for 5 months) is almost statistically impossible, and if you drill down into the numbers by selecting the full breakdown tab, it says that only one person in nearly 6000 with full holdings will win nothing in that time period.
