Welcome to the March thread everyone.

The idea of the thread is to earn a bit of extra cash. There are a few ways to do this. I'm sure some of our regulars can add to this. But here's some ideas.

Have I mentioned I hate links? Anyway, hopefully you get the idea.

Last month was ok. Total of £800 (approx). Need to do it properly but I think my laptop is preparing for death! Really need to bite the bullet and get a new one.

Waiting to see if I get on Am. I do love it!

£800 sounds good! What do you have to do?

@rhij86 and @Rad2016, mine came in at about half an hour less than I thought but that always happens. I'm pleased though. Without it I'd be stuffed. I'm going to try and bite the bullet with the next B@ne launch and going to try and do 20 hours.

@Catatemyhomework I know, I managed to do 10 hrs this round, it was just on/off 20 mins here, couple of hrs there. You get really fed up doing it for long, but looking at the invoice, it's all paid off. TBH, I got to a point where I lost track of how much time I'd spent on it

Utest question
Those of you who were new to software testing and did the Academy courses, di d do all of them?
I find API testing and Charles Proxy testing quite complicated. Do i need those to get testing jobs?
Did your rating change when you did the Academy practice cycles?
Have you been getting more invites to cycles once you completed those?

I did my first one last week and was surprised how easy it was. Anyone know how long you stay on it for?

@Redcrayons I've been doing it for about 3 months but no idea how long it lasts. I'm just glad it seems to be appearing on my invoice automatically this month.

Question for other Appen users - Have you been paid Feb's invoice yet? It says paid on my invoice, I've had nothing through yet. It's not normally this late so wondering if something has gone wrong.

@Azerothi @Dancingdolphins Thanks, it is sorted out now. Despite being paid with no problems for over a year, the money was put into pending and I was not notified. Spoke to them and they said I had to do the business verification survey. I have done it now and the money has been released.

Does anybody just use their PayPal receipts for A**r?
I would like to on the next round I'm on, as had a couple of issues this month with the email receipt not reflecting the same price that was deducted from PayPal

@MarigoldMoonStone I often use PayPal receipts because they have more info on them than some of the shop receipts I have received. It's always been fine.

Just out of curiosity, should I use a different phone or email address when signing up for things? Do you get a lot of spam?

Great thank you! Agreed. Had one with tax not included on email receipt and another delivery charge not included, but all there clear as day on the PayPal one. Lesson learned :)

@MarigoldMoonStone yeah I usually use email receipts but have used paypal ones when needed with no issues.

Sent off £170 of returns yesterday so a pretty good round assuming they all get paid out okay.

Has anyone tried to return the grooming kit? I know most people got this. They're asking why I need to return as its non returnable. Not sure what to tell them

So I passed the UserTesting test Really thought I’d c*cked that up lol. But I failed the Intellizoom one They have said I can have another go though.

@Rad2016 have they given any reason why you can't return? I looked into this in a previous round as I was told an item was 'non-returnable' and it's my understanding that for an online purchase you have 14 days (I think from receiving the product) to change your mind. You don't need a reason. There are only a few exceptions (e.g. hygiene, I got resistance bands this round which stated this for non-return reason, although I was keeping them anyway thankfully).

Just double checked and you have to let them know you want to cancel the sale within fourteen days of receiving the product, and then you have another fourteen days from the point you've told them to return the item.
