I think there are smaller prizes of £1000, £500, £100, £50 and £25. I might be wrong, happy to be corrected! You can also win multiple prizes, so £100 made up of 4x £25 etc.

Mistressinthetulips · 04/05/2021 11:51

Ah thanks Friday that sounds good Smile
Not that I would turn my nose up at £25 though.

Uell · 04/05/2021 12:57

Apologies if this has been asked and answered already, when would I need to buy bonds at the latest to be eligible for July's draw?

stillcrazyafterall · 04/05/2021 13:02

By end of may, you have to be in for a full month before being able to win.

1940s · 04/05/2021 13:09

Are results available yet or just big winners?

KitchenFairy · 04/05/2021 13:18

Could someone explain what the 'bond value' figure means on the high value winners list please?

FridayNightAtTheBronze · 04/05/2021 13:31

Mistressinthetulips

I would be happy with £25 too!

KitchenFairy

The bond value pertains to the group the winning bond was purchased within. Each bond costs £1, and if you buy a group of bonds worth say £100, and one of those 100 bonds is picked then the bond value is classed as £100.

The minimum bond value is £25 as that is the lowest you can spend in one go. The highest is £50,000.

FridayNightAtTheBronze · 04/05/2021 13:35

Also, it doesn't matter whether the winning bond was purchased within a group of 25 or 50,000, they all have the same value and the same chance of winning. It just gives you an idea of whether the winning bond was purchased within a large block of bonds or not.

ChessieFL · 04/05/2021 17:40

I noticed someone with just £425 in bonds has won £5k so it possible to win with small amounts - they have had them for 20 years though!

Dyrne · 04/05/2021 17:41

@FridayNightAtTheBronze I noted there are a lot of 2020 people on the high value winners list.

I wonder if it’s an influx people (like me) who are fed up of shite interest rates elsewhere so have stuck their savings in premium bonds instead? Only other place are investments but that’s too risky for a lot of people, especially for emergency funds or cash needed in the shorter term.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 04/05/2021 17:54

It seems to have been a long wait for this draw.

Just purchased another £5,000 but won’t be eligible for this month’s draw.

I wish prizes were still £50 instead of £25.

WhatHaveIFound · 04/05/2021 18:09

It seems to have been a long wait for this draw.

I've been thinking that too as I'm having to withdraw money to pay off some bills and want to do it as soon as they've been drawn.

DH and I both won £25 each last month.

FridayNightAtTheBronze · 04/05/2021 18:40

Dyrne

I'm also buying Premium Bonds due to the abysmal interest rates at the moment. I suspect lots are. All I have to do is win £25 once in a year and I've made more than the 0.1% it would have made in a savings account!

Once interest rates rise I'll move the money, but for now the potential of winning a decent prize is too enticing Grin

Sensateria · 04/05/2021 18:48

DH and I moved 50k each into premium bonds in November last year, we’ve each won between £25 and £75 every month since so it’s already doing better than the savings account it was in.

PrivateParty · 05/05/2021 00:15

Looks like it's £25 for me this month...

TangledUp789 · 05/05/2021 00:55

£25 for me this month on a holding of £50K. Better than nothing I suppose.

Interestingly (to me), that prize and another £25 prize I won in March have both come from the same £25 block of bonds. The chances of that happening must be tiny.

Newestname001 · 05/05/2021 01:20

£25 for me this month on a holding of £13,000. I do regularly win between £25 with the occasional £50-£75 but got £100 from one bond last month. I've got some money temporarily languishing in a low paying account so I'll transfer those funds into premium bonds for now and keep my fingers crossed for one of the larger prizes. 🌹

Overthebow · 05/05/2021 01:43

£25 for me in my first draw. Holding of £16000. Very happy with that for my first month.

FiveShelties · 05/05/2021 03:11

75 (1 @ 25, 1 @ 50) for me on 6,000 and nothing for DH on 6,250. Very pleased with thatGrin

MakeTeaNotWar · 05/05/2021 04:30

Big fat zero here on £5k holdings

LizziesTwin · 05/05/2021 04:59

Nothing for the second month in a row - not far from the max holding.

ChessieFL · 05/05/2021 05:05

Nothing for me on around £6k.

springblossom2 · 05/05/2021 05:22

£25 for me on holding of £29.5k - happy with that - Good luck to everyone when you're checking today!

sanityisamyth · 05/05/2021 05:58

Nothing again on £18k. Never won anything so taking £5k out to buy a horsebox! Might as well enjoy the money 🤣

NatMoz · 05/05/2021 06:03

£25 for me this month on £50k, not checked my husband's yet (he has £32k in his)
