All the links are mucked up from the last thread so I've copied and pasted an old list. Hope they are right and please ask if you want a direct link.

@Nets888 All my money from these jobs goes into Paypal or a bank account I keep just for this. I count everything I earn.

I just added up the totals of £, $ and € paid into Paypal or the separate bank account in the 2019-20 tax year, used the gov's currency rates to convert the $ and € totals into £, then added up the three amounts.

I put this total into the earnings box on the SA form, ticked the box to take off the £1k entrepreneur allowance and paid tax on the rest. I rang the tax office to check I'd done it correctly. As @whysotriggered said, we are very small fry to them and they were very laid back about it!

Hope that all makes sense!

cornflakehill · 17/09/2020 11:53

Actually, I've just remembered - this time I couldn't get through on the phone to the tax office so I messaged them on FB. They replied quickly and I've got a record of everything they said which is really reassuring!

Nets888 · 17/09/2020 12:02

@cornflakehill, I've just done my calculations. Half of my earnings are in vouchers but total earnings including PayPal came to just under £1000. I don't think I need to fill in tax return yet. But I'm checking so I can get everything right.

Thanks for explaining.

WonderTweek · 17/09/2020 12:04

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock Thanks! That was easy money. Grin I have actually made decent money on CW this week despite my doubts. They've had more better paid jobs there so I've started checking the site again.

Four nights in a row I've missed an Intellizoom survey because I've decided to wait until my child is in bed. D'oh!

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2020 12:14

Has anyone had an email from LB today? It's a link to a project but it doesn't go to the main LB site so I am a bit worried it is a scam. I habven't done any work for them yet so I don't know their usual way of going about things.

lilmishap · 17/09/2020 12:16

@margaritasbythesea I've had a photo email and an annotation email. Haven't looked yet but also on my workmarket so it's legit

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2020 12:18

Great. Thanks Lilmishap.

Nets888 · 17/09/2020 12:19

Sorry, just one last question on tax return. I'm a SAHM and online surveys are my only income. I earn roughly £1,000 a year (Amazon vouchers and PayPal). Just in case I go over £1,000, do you think it worth the time and hassle (for me and HMRC) of filling in the tax return with no other income except from surveys?

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2020 12:22

I think you have to if you go over £1000. It doesn't really take long though.

DeegeeDee · 17/09/2020 14:39

Just had an email that B*** will be closing as of today. So sad... Wait, no I'm not, it was a painful one to work on.

Almost three months and counting since A* was to go live... Good thinf we didn't hold our breaths.

redgirl1 · 17/09/2020 15:04

@Buster27 have you managed to start work on the ec&o project, I have just been accepted for my first ap£en project and I have no clue what I’m doing!!? I have passed the test, but am I waiting for a 2nd account to be set up. Very confusing!!

I am a long time follower of this thread , thanks to everyone that posts. It’s brilliant and has got me out of a financial hole of my own making!!

Catatemyhomework · 17/09/2020 15:13

@DeegeeDee, I had that email about B**r too. I think I only worked on it once and then that was it! Hmm

DeegeeDee · 17/09/2020 15:34

Just looked back at my records Cate, only did three lots with them the most recent was last month. Oh well, here's to new, interesting and straightforward tasks.

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2020 16:06

Is B or B*r closing?

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2020 16:08

There seems to be quite a lot of good opportunities here, although I have only just cmpleted my registration. I think it is a site Otterses put us onto when they has a £10 very quick survey.

Catatemyhomework · 17/09/2020 16:09

Has anyone applied for project N***h on Appen? I applied and received an email telling me I had been accepted onto the project and to take the qualification workflow. I can't see where this is? Anyone else doing this project and can shed some light on it please?

Catatemyhomework · 17/09/2020 16:10

@margaritasbythesea, it's B*r that's closing not B

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2020 16:16

Phew! Thanks Cat.

I just took a baffling quiz for that one. If you go to the project page and click the last tab on the right the quiz is there. I can't remember what the tab is called. The link is on the right of the screen once you have clicked through.

Catatemyhomework · 17/09/2020 16:35

@margaritasbythesea, I can't find it. I have abandoned and got back in, but still no joy.

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2020 16:40

I'll PM you with a couple of screenshots

octopusjournal · 17/09/2020 22:39

when the Neevo instructions are something like "ask about a certain brand" do you just pick any random brand (like Samsung maybe) or do you actually say "certain brand"?

Horehound · 17/09/2020 23:05

You pick a brand like apple etc

octopusjournal · 18/09/2020 00:08

thank you

tootyfruitypickle · 18/09/2020 10:27

Anyone doing Ti*s? Do you just bill an hour a day regardless of how long it's taken?

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 18/09/2020 10:34

Another well paid eye tracking job on clickworker. Iphone only this time.
