It's a brand new month so have started a new thread.

I've had few emails from Neevo over the weekend offering work, however I still haven't received payment for tasks I did at the beginning of May so am giving them a wide berth. Anyone else?

I managed to do an £8 30 min project on uTest yesterday which has cheered me up. More please!

3dogsnorth · 03/06/2020 08:17

@MrsWombat Well done on utest. I did 2 yesterday. I've just got started on it and finding the waters very muddy. Any advice

MrsWombat · 03/06/2020 08:23

@3dogsnorth I'm just getting back into it after concentrating on other things for a while. No real advice just read all the articles on the community forum. I found them very helpful. Also take a look at other peoples bugs on the projects to see how to word yours.

BecauseOfIndia · 03/06/2020 08:46

Hi, long time lurker here. I wanted to know if any of you received payment from Clickworker for the Neevo tasks back in March? I've emailed them 4 times now and have only received 1 reply which rather patronisingly told me to "have some patience".... It was the first round of transcription tasks so I don't imagine I've earnt more than about $5 but I'm still annoyed not to have been paid after all this time!

MoreMoneyPlease · 03/06/2020 09:22

Thanks @lannister I'll have a look!

Joining in here.

May wasn't great for me although I have got onto a couple of Respondent Projects so hoping June will be better!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 03/06/2020 13:16

@BecauseOfIndia I too received a 'have some patience' email about three or four weeks ago. I flagged it up on their forum a week or so ago and was told by a moderator to email them (which I did late last week). Not heard a peep since though. I will let you know if I do.

RyanBergarasTeeth · 03/06/2020 14:02

Can i ask how this works vis a vis taxes? Do you have to register as self employed?

BecauseOfIndia · 03/06/2020 14:25

Thanks @NewModelArmyMayhem18 I'd really appreciate that Smile

I have a Trading 212 link -

@RyanBergarasTeeth

Yes register on the Self Assessment HMRC website on gov.uk once your earnings are £1000.

Assuming you have started since 6 April 2020, we are currently in the 2020-2021 tax year so your return not due until the 31 Jan after the end of the tax year - so your first return is due 31/01/22 (and the tax must be paid by then if not before). However register as soon as you know you have gone over the £1000.

Keep records of your earnings ie invoices or statements, somewhere safe (so you won’t lose it if your machine crashes) and collate monthly on excel or whatever works for you.

RyanBergarasTeeth · 03/06/2020 14:52

@wolfff thank you i will look into that. Im no where near £1000 right now but good to know if i do i wont get stung.

curdsandwhey · 03/06/2020 15:57

If I was going to apply for either Clickworker or Neevo, which one should I go for? It sounds like some of the Neevo tasks involve recording your voice, which I don't think would be my thing. Or do they have lots of other stuff but just that I've noticed the comments about the voice recording more?

ruralwanderer · 03/06/2020 16:27

@curdsandwhey, Neevo haven't been great at paying lately so based on that I would have to say avoid them. It's a shame as their work is very easy and mostly quite enjoyable but until I see the money I'm owed I'm not doing anything else for them.

Otterses · 03/06/2020 16:30

Sorry everyone Blush completely forgot it was now June! May seems to have had endless days in it.
I scraped £400 last month, not expecting much this month, life is really chaotic at the moment with DS' nursery hours and me being in/out the office like a bloody yo-yo.

Thank you for the new thread @seizethecuttlefish

Wolfff · 03/06/2020 16:45

@curdsandwhey

I have found Clickworker more reliable. There is not much work (a bit hit and miss like Prolific). However once you have been there a while you can qualify for UHRS jobs which are a bit more reliable in terms of frequency.

Neevo is very low paid in my experience - they also rejected a batch of work I did for no apparent reason. I do not think this was justified. They did eventually pay me but I have not worked for them since.

Azerothi · 03/06/2020 16:48

@curdsandwhey I would very much echo what ruralwanderer said. I am owed quite a lot from neevo from march and April. I am not pursuing it anymore but even so.

On the other hand you could apply to both and see how you get on.

Anotherdayanothernight · 03/06/2020 17:01

@GachaBread that's amazing, how did you manage so much on Cloudworkers, if you don't mind me asking?

curdsandwhey · 03/06/2020 17:02

Thank you everyone. I think I'll go for Clickworker first then, and see how it goes. Smile How long does it take to be fully accepted? I applied to Appen before but I had misunderstood the full process so I have to wait some months.

ruralwanderer · 03/06/2020 17:23

Click Worker is pretty instantaneous, then qualify for UHRS as soon as possible. I made over $9 in there yesterday over breakfast on a pretty simple task.

For those on Rev, how many times did you have to apply before you were accepted? I've just failed the application for captioning which is a bummer as I really enjoyed doing the test video.

GachaBread · 03/06/2020 17:23

@Anotherdayanothernight I average 90/100 messages an hour when the traffic is their, I am doing 2 hours in the morning and 2 at night.

Catatemyhomework · 03/06/2020 17:27

I don't think my free share link has been used yet if anyone would like it.
