June earn £10 a day thread

mrssnow82 · 01/06/2020 09:47

It's a brand new month so have started a new thread.

I've had few emails from Neevo over the weekend offering work, however I still haven't received payment for tasks I did at the beginning of May so am giving them a wide berth. Anyone else?

I've not got Al#m on my invoice either but I've so little on there this month anyway that I shall wait and submit it next month instead.

Catatemyhomework · 02/06/2020 11:37

Thanks for the new thread. My earnings for May have been rubbish. About £100 I think, maybe less. It's been a difficult month. My dad's been in hospital and I've been stressed and have lost my focus, plus there really hasn't been much work for me. Hoping June will be better. Appen is quiet and Neevo have still to pay me for the voice recordings.

I do have a Trading 12 link if any one would like it. I hope someone uses it as I didn't get my free share when I signed up originally for some reason.

Do you want to get a free stock share worth up to £ 100?

Create a Trading212Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/invite/FMO7TrzE and we both get a free share!

@Azerothi it's definitely only Revver+ on captioning so hopefully it's the same for transcription but sometimes different rules apply so you might be right!

For anyone on Neevo I've just been paid for all of the short utterances.

Catatemyhomework · 02/06/2020 11:40

Neevo have just paid me for the voice recordings! Smile

Azerothi · 02/06/2020 11:43

@Tinging
No, you're right. It only applies on the transcription side to Revver+ . I'm a Revver so thank goodness it doesn't apply to me. Thank you so much for pointing it out.

mrssnow82 · 02/06/2020 11:51

I've also just been paid for the Neevo tasks, phew!

OP posts:
Tinging · 02/06/2020 11:55

@Azerothi no problem Smile I'm a Revver too and there was no way I'd meet the minimum so I was really relieved after an initial panic!

AStubbornlyPersistentIllusion · 02/06/2020 12:30

Me too @mrssnow82 😅

Is anyone still waiting on a pay out for the Aus transcript tasks? Because if not I've only been paid for about 2% of the tasks I completed.

Mrsm010918 · 02/06/2020 12:33

Quick question, has anyone got the links for potato and Rev/revver+?

TIA

eachpeachpairplum · 02/06/2020 12:49

@Catatemyhomework is that the voice recordings where you have to say things like Alexa etc? I did them last week and can't remember how much It was supposed to pay? X

eachpeachpairplum · 02/06/2020 12:51

@Catatemyhomework ignore me, mine was on clickworker!

Tinging · 02/06/2020 13:01

@AStubbornlyPersistentIllusion no I still haven't been paid for most of my Aus tasks. Not sure what to do though as they ignored my email. I have been paid for the short utterances and another validation task so it's just that one I'm missing now.

@Mrsm010918 www.rev.com/freelancers?fromMobileSideMenu=true for Rev but there is a waiting list at the moment as so many people are wanting to work from home.

Mrsm010918 · 02/06/2020 13:57

@tinging thank you!

MoreMoneyPlease · 02/06/2020 14:26

@mumofone2818 I'm still missing Al#m on my invoice. I've got a full month's invoice to put in but want to wait for this first. Another task with an auto generated invoice has gone on, so not sure what's happened with Al#m... Anyone know what's the deadline for submitting?

margaritasbythesea · 02/06/2020 14:52

Thanks for the new thread - not that I am doing anything at all, at all.

bookgirl1982 · 02/06/2020 15:14

Appen invoice deadline is tomorrow. I suspect that A* might be on next month but worth checking on the chat.

seizethecuttlefish · 02/06/2020 15:51

@moremoneyplease chat says it'll be about 6 weeks so I submitted it and it'll go on next month. I hope.

Neevo paid me all my voice recordings. So that's a win.

MoreMoneyPlease · 02/06/2020 15:54

@seizethecuttlefish Thanks, that's good to hear. I'll submit mine too.

Well done with the Neevo payment, I'm waiting for some $ but still struggling to tie up which payments go with which jobs!

Tinging · 02/06/2020 17:09

I've just had a response from Neevo about the Australian corrections, apologising for the delay and stating payment by early next week. I am however not being paid for 66 of the tasks after them "checking my quality average" which is strange as I've never had any quality issues before. It's not a huge amount of money but it's putting me off working for them a bit as I had only done around 300 in total.

Has anyone been able to get feedback from them to say what you've done wrong so you can avoid the same mistakes again?

AStubbornlyPersistentIllusion · 02/06/2020 17:42

Thanks @Tinging, I might get something through yet then.

I spoke to them on live chat weeks ago regarding another transcription task I'd completed but they'd cut off a few of my tasks for being "below the required standard" and they said they cannot give individual feedback and to adhere strictly to the instructions!

seizethecuttlefish · 02/06/2020 17:55

@Tinging that's what's strange this time. Neevo are usually quick to stop you if you don't meet their standards but this time they just let everyone keep going. I checked the requirements before logging on (as I do other transcription tasks) and I was fairly sure I was doing it right. I always expect about 10% discrepancy. But this time everyone seems to have been hit and unfortunately there is no recourse. It's just "it is what it is", when you ask. I did 355 tasks and was eventually (after numerous emails and chats) paid for 248. I wonder if they reduced the rate as I did a pile and then got an email with a lower rate, so I stopped.

Tinging · 02/06/2020 18:24

As you predicted @AStubbornlyPersistentIllusion I've just had a response to say they don't give personal feedback but that they are making improvements to the platform to make sure thy eye can provide it in the "near future" so at least that's promising.

unicornpoopoop · 02/06/2020 19:07

Has anybody done any lionbridge tasks today? I've not managed to get many tasks over the last couple of days. So far today I've only done 8 but when I go into snapshot to see how many tasks have been released today it says only 8 for the whole day! Usually there's between 3 and 10 thousand.
Surely I can't have done the only available tasks today

mrssnow82 · 02/06/2020 19:10

I suggest calling Neevo out on social media - get your screenshots on Twitter - it won't be as easy for them to get away with it that way.
