It's a brand new month so have started a new thread.

I've had few emails from Neevo over the weekend offering work, however I still haven't received payment for tasks I did at the beginning of May so am giving them a wide berth. Anyone else?

OP posts:
dirtyfries · 22/06/2020 15:07

Oooh thanks @eachpeachpairplum I'd not heard of them.
Worth it for some freebies!
Are they generally quick to pay out?

lilmishap · 22/06/2020 16:03

Potatoers are we able to have one Mod and one Mon tab open or do they both need to be from same queue?

TheCanterburyWhales · 22/06/2020 16:12

Lil, I've had both open since I learned from here you got more done that way. No smacked wrist yet. I did get a for missing something the other day which made me feel really naughty and I've been doubly careful since.

lilmishap · 22/06/2020 16:45

Cheers!

Gatekeeper · 22/06/2020 17:58

has anyone received an invite for an email phrase validation on Neevo? I can't make head nor tail of it Blush

tootyfruitypickle · 22/06/2020 20:50

Just had email saying A* qualification closes in a few hours and I m too pooped now. Think I’d be rubbish at taking on more now anyway until schools go back. How everyone more organised than me who has done it gets accepted ! I’m just going to keep applying and hope things come up I. Sept!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 22/06/2020 21:19

@Gatekeeper I've just done well over one hundred on that but it's not showing in my dashboard Hmm

AdaShelby · 22/06/2020 22:48

Be very careful of Amazon reviews/free items. They'll delete your account and ban your IP so it's very hard to get another one if they catch you.

They're very hot on fake reviews in exchange for goods.

TheLolaMontez · 22/06/2020 23:12

Good news! I have passed the potato test Grin I am now awaiting logins etc. I've had a few through today. I am signed up to the messaging but but it's all like a different language, I have no idea what any of it means. Will have to investigate further tomorrow Smile

WonderTweek · 22/06/2020 23:58

Hello! Can I join you all? Smile I'm nowhere near making any money but I need to find some pocket money and I'm curious whether I could earn some online. I've been lurking in these threads on and off for a bit but have now decided to sign up to things and actually try!

So far I've been doing surveys and I loved Prolific but it's been really quiet recently. I have also signed up to Neevo but nothing has come up yet (I'm being impatient though). I'm getting started with Appen and I just need to qualify so they can hopefully activate my account, and we'll go from there.

I'm a bit confused though as there are so many sites and they're all different! It'll probably take me ages to get anywhere. Blush I've been reading this thread and I'm absolutely amazed at how much work everyone is getting. Fair play to you all.

lilmishap · 23/06/2020 02:13

@WonderTweek
Do Crisp test tomorrow, repeat until you get the correct score.Forget about Crisp for the next 6-12 months.

Lionbridge - Set up/apply for now.

Clickworker - Worth setting up immediately, Check for UHRS Assesments.

Neevo on Desktop - make sure to check Skills & Badges tab often. They have got work coming.

Utest - WAIT until you have done all the above as Utest is a cashcow for some but not so good for others. You'll need a day to go through the academy (if you're hardcore) although there isn't a time limit. It can be veryprofitable

MrsWombat · 23/06/2020 07:31

@TheLolaMontez The only word you need to know is S U R G E.

MrsWombat · 23/06/2020 07:32

@TheLolaMontez Most of the chat stuff is for people doing shifts. If they mention the two queues you'll have access to then prick your ears up.

ruralwanderer · 23/06/2020 07:40

After a lot more chasing, I've managed to get $50 out of Neevo. I'm still short $30 so haven't given up yet but as soon as I am certain that's all I'm getting I'm deleting my account with them. I've spent almost as much time trying to get them to pay me what I'm due as I have actually doing the work which is ridiculous.

Really hoping for one last surge on Appen this month and it will be a good one 👍

lynsey91 · 23/06/2020 08:38

@TheLolaMontez I am going to do the potato test today but feel worried about it. How difficult is it?

WonderTweek · 23/06/2020 08:45

@lilmishap Thanks so much! Any advice is very welcome. I thought I joined Crisp the other day but just checked my emails and I only got 17 questions right when the pass mark is 19. Inspired by your post I tried again and got 18. Grin Let's give it another go. Think I'm over analysing my responses!

Will definitely check Clickworker, and I have already started looking into Lionbridge.

TheLolaMontez · 23/06/2020 08:51

@lynsey91 - hello Smile I didn't find it too hard to be honest. I kept a tally of how many questions I had answered and set a 30 min timer on my phone. I did way more than 60, I think I did about 120 in total.

I didn't refer to the guidelines during the test as I was worried this would take too long. I obviously managed to get enough right without them but I certainly think you could refer to them if you needed to as I did double the amount required.

Most of them did just feel like common sense. There are multiple options to choose from which makes it a little easier. I also had a "music for concentration" playlist on and a black coffee by my side. (Don't know if that helped) Grin I also told myself before taking the test that I would pass it. Positive mental attitude and confidence helps!

Good luck! I'm sure you will do fine.

TheLolaMontez · 23/06/2020 08:52

Thanks for the tips @MrsWombat Smile I can't actually work yet as no access to the lists but I'll keep in mind what you have said when the time comes!

lynsey91 · 23/06/2020 08:57

@TheLolaMontez thanks for that it makes me feel a bit better. When I took the initial test I felt like I had a pretty good understanding of the categories but that was over a year ago so I have forgotten it all!

I worked my way through the courses and tests on Sunday because I was running out of time but struggled a bit as I had had an horrendous migraine for a couple of days before and could barely think straight

TheLolaMontez · 23/06/2020 09:04

If it makes you feel even better @lynsey91 I took the test yesterday whilst looking after two under 2, who I had to get up for a couple of times. I tried to do it when they were both napping (which hardly ever happens anyway) and they both woke up Confused

MrsWombat · 23/06/2020 09:06

For the Potato test and in the beginning of working one thing that helped was having the list of swear words and what category the would come under open. What I would class as something they would class as something else. mouth of a sailor

WonderTweek · 23/06/2020 09:46

I have managed to pass the test! I swear they were trick questions. I'm like you @MrsWombat - took me ages to realise that certain swear words were actually classed as offensive. I thought they're just part of using the internet. Grin

Mrsm010918 · 23/06/2020 09:48

Got my link for the Lionbridge exam arriving today, eek! Trying to find time to read the guidelines again but toddler is quite demanding. Anyone got any tips?

Prolific and Neevo have gone dead on me, and like another poster UHRS hasnt given me much for the last week

whysotriggered · 23/06/2020 11:58

@TheLolaMontez congrats on getting onto c*p. I've name changed but I remember we passed the initial test at the same time back in May last year. I still have not heard anything! Fingers crossed I hear soon too.

I haven't been on here for quite a while. Glad to see people are doing well and lots of newbies. I have been lucky with Appen so hopefully, that will continue to be the case. Wishing everyone lots of luck of the money-making front.

Trgani · 23/06/2020 12:03

Anyone working at cloud, how long does it normally take to hear back? I filled in the form on the site a couple of days ago.
