Hope you’re all well and have had a fantastic month of money making in April. And of course, welcome to anyone just joining us. I’ve finally managed to hopefully put together a more comprehensive list of absolutely everything I can think of to help people maximise their earnings in these uncertain times, some are referral links where me/the user earn some sort of reward, but you are under no obligation at all to use them. As always, referral links are more than welcome

I just want to get this out of the way and say that please, I know times are really tough for so many people, and tensions are high, but please don’t take it out on others on this thread. I really want this to be a place of support, rather than people ripping into each other in frustration. People on here also aren’t being intentionally secretive or evasive about work they are doing, it’s simply a case of not wanting to risk breaching their NDA and losing income.

I only got started part of the way through April, so this is what I've done in about three weeks rather than the whole of April.

Prolific - £28, although £10 of that was all in one day on 30th April when there was a sudden glut of surveys.

Intellizoom - $10 USD although they haven't paid me yet so I'll have to wait and see.

20Cogs - got 8 cogs done and planning to do 2 more tomorrow. If you're thinking of doing 20Cogs, I strongly recommend not trying to do the whole thing in one go. It's far better to take things slowly and only sign up for things that vaguely interest you, rather than signing up for any old stuff just for the sake of it.

YouGov - signed up but not been sent any surveys. What's going on?

Populus - similarly disappointed. Only been sent one survey, which I was screened out of.

Appen - officially got accepted but not heard from them since.

Desperate to find some transcription work but all the legit places have stopped taking people on.

curdsandwhey · 02/05/2020 23:10

By the way I'm being particularly slow on 20Cogs as I don't do gambling, and a lot of the offers are those so I'm determined to only sign up for the other stuff.

If there's any newbies here wondering where on earth to get started, join Prolific first. If you spend a lot of time online, keep a tab open and m so you can see new surveys straight away and you can easily make £20 - £30 in a month.

curdsandwhey · 02/05/2020 23:13

@ohmygiddiest Is it true that some of the offers on Ohmydosh are the same as on 20Cogs? Would you say that joining Ohmydosh would slow down my progess on 20Cogs? Should I wait until I've finished 20Cogs first?

Anyone trading on RobinHood?

Otterses · 03/05/2020 07:30

@curdsandwhey may be worth spending five minutes knocking up a profile on Fiverr/guru/freelancer advertising transcription work?

does anyone actually get any surveys on you gov?

ElectricTonight · 03/05/2020 10:12

@ReturnofSaturn sorry I meant Prolific. Just missed a survey this morning as it was only compatible on a laptop so by the time I turned it on it was gone!

bookgirl1982 · 03/05/2020 10:43

@ElectricTonight if you see that in future you can reserve your place in the survey on your phone, then you have ten minutes to get the laptop to complete the survey

ohmygiddiest · 03/05/2020 11:43

@curdsandwhey - 20 Cogs and Oh My Dosh! are the same company so many of the offers are the same.

I completed 20 Cogs first as it seems more profitable. Did you see the screenshot I posted a couple of days ago - I cashed out £109!

Am planning on on completing the offers on Oh My Dosh with the offers that I did not do on 20 Cogs - there seems to be more survey companies on there.

Here are my links - if anyone want to join, we will both get a bonus

I managed all of £21 in April from Appen.

Still struggling to get going on freelancer, anyone have any tips for putting a good portfolio together to get started please? Struggling to work out what kind of thing I'm best using, I'm writing based but willing to try my hand at most things which isn't helping with the portfolio! The only thing I've been accepted for on there turned out to be an adult website, it was advertised as customer service Hmm

Hoping for £100 in May (I'd love to aim higher, but going with realism until I can get anything at all going!) and hoping to get things like freelancer/UpWork/fivver going as think the work there looks more like my cup of tea!

ReturnofSaturn · 03/05/2020 12:43

Just done a survey on YouGov. Check your emails.

ElectricTonight · 03/05/2020 13:40

@bookgirl1982 Thank you I will defo reserve in the future, had the laptop open all day and still no more surveys as of yet.

anxiouswaiting · 03/05/2020 14:25

Just checking in, April was awful for me less than £200. It should have been good but I got royally messed around by a company I freelance for.

May will be better, I have another client that I freelance for who have offered me work starting next week with a good rate so hoping that comes through!

I really hope I get a good Appen project this month as the lack of it last month was my downfall for April! I'll be concentrating on C this month.

Finding it really hard to get anything done though now toddler is off nursery.

SpirallingThroughAnotherDay · 03/05/2020 16:23

Thanks for the new thread, checking in SmileMay isn't looking too great for me, lack of motivation combined with not a lot available to do, hopefully things will even out again soon.

seizethecuttlefish · 03/05/2020 22:30

Checking in. Been a bit rubbish at keeping on top of things here but it's been really busy. April was a great month with loads on Appen and Crisp. Just trying to keep up the momentum as I know Appen drops off from time to time.
Appen: 880
Crisp: 135
Neevo: 12 (expecting around 40 but not holding out much hope)
Intellizoom: 20

Need to look at other income streams as I don't like to depend too much on one thing.

Off to read the thread and get back on track.

Managed to make £50 on Clickworker UHRS tasks last week. It is fast becoming my favourite site

www.clickworker.com/en/clickworker?utm_source=3383209&utm_campaign=CW4CW&utm_medium=email

ReturnofSaturn · 04/05/2020 12:08

Still waiting to hear back from a few of the adult text chat places I applied to last week. Thought I would have heard by now so not holding my breath.

Made 35p on Prolofic yesterday. Absolutely nothing on Neevo or Intellizoom yet.

ruralwanderer · 04/05/2020 12:10

@mrssnow82, what sort of work are you doing on UHRS? Please feel free to PM me if you prefer - I keep logging into UHRS and just finding absolute rubbish tasks with an immense amount of reading for a measly $0.04 which just isn't worth it. I'd rather do Neevo as although it's similarly paid, the tasks are much quicker to complete...if you have tips on how to get better paid or more interesting UHRS tasks I'd love to hear them :)

So far I've managed absolutely nothing this month - there just doesn't seem to be any work available (I'm religiously checking my emails but nothing from Neevo, Intellizoom, UTest or Appen) :( I've been put on the waiting list for a one-off Testing Time project but not holding out too much hope.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 04/05/2020 13:13

If anyone needs a Freetrade link then let me know as they have just sent me 3 in quick succession!

mrssnow82 · 04/05/2020 13:35

@ruralwanderer most of the tasks I completed last week were of an adult nature - I find these quicker to do as they are less wordy.

Rad2016 · 04/05/2020 14:05

I just did the clickworker assessment for the UHRS tasks. So gutted as I failed the address format bit. Will I be able to try again sometime in future or is that it. Really struggling with money so any little thing will make a difference

ElectricTonight · 04/05/2020 14:17

Made nothing on Prolific yesterday, no surveys for me as of yet today either.

Have signed up to freelancer but I think it's out of my depth, anyone on here who has done a logo or website job? If I bid on a job to design a website would I need to pay for the platform for example go daddy ?

Also applied for product testing has anyone received a product before ?

GailLondon · 04/05/2020 15:05

Having a great time with Appen this month. $950 in April from them. I'm on a 1 hour a day project with them, as well as an up to 20h per week one, so I'm maxing them out while I can!

Those of you who haven't got too far with Appen yet, keep checking and trying, and eventually something decent will come up!
