Hope you’re all well and have had a fantastic month of money making in April. And of course, welcome to anyone just joining us. I’ve finally managed to hopefully put together a more comprehensive list of absolutely everything I can think of to help people maximise their earnings in these uncertain times, some are referral links where me/the user earn some sort of reward, but you are under no obligation at all to use them. As always, referral links are more than welcome

I just want to get this out of the way and say that please, I know times are really tough for so many people, and tensions are high, but please don’t take it out on others on this thread. I really want this to be a place of support, rather than people ripping into each other in frustration. People on here also aren’t being intentionally secretive or evasive about work they are doing, it’s simply a case of not wanting to risk breaching their NDA and losing income.

How many utest cycles do people tend to have running at once? I'm getting loads of invitations atm and wondering how many it's practical to have going at once? Presuming it's similar to appen I'm needing more than one at a time if you want to make anything much?

MyopiaUtopia · 15/05/2020 14:36

No potato statement for me yet either

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 15/05/2020 14:39

I've had quite a few utest invitations but nothing has yet converted into work (but possibly being impatient again).

lilmishap · 15/05/2020 14:56

They definitely won't be paid today as you have to submit your payment invoice.

Any of you lovely ladies on utest got any tips. Just got rated! Working my way through the academy. Can you earn decent money on it? What kind of time are you all putting in for what kind of earnings if you don't mind me asking. Also wondering about Testbirds. Are they similar or is it worth just concentrating on one?

Devonport14 · 15/05/2020 17:44

Is the Chip app worth it? How much have people saved in say 6 months on it? ANy worries about it being linked to your bank account?

Thanks

0htooooodles · 15/05/2020 18:37

Anyone been paid from lionbridge today? Normally receive it today, but haven't yet

TheCanterburyWhales · 15/05/2020 20:12

I got the potato email today. £3.50 Grin
This month will be better!
Breastfeedingworries, sign up to Appen and when they accept you sign up for EVERYTHING. Don't worry what the tasks sound like. I was waiting for almost 10 months before I was finally let loose on mine but have since had a couple of shorter ones as well.

unicornpoopoop · 15/05/2020 21:40

I didn't realise that I was supposed to press submit on my appen invoice 🤦‍♀️

It was probably a good job though as 1 of the hours was in May and about 6 for end of April so that mean il only need to pay one fee to get my payment so that's about £70.

So far this month I've made about £350 with lionbridge so I'm hoping with 2 more weeks to go, I can get that up to £700.

The lionbridge tasks can be a bit tedious but as I only work 2 days a week anyway, doing this brings me up to a full time wage. I know it may not last though so I need to make sure I don't become reliant on it

curdsandwhey · 15/05/2020 22:20

You know all those apps like Zipzero and Shoppix where you upload photos of your shopping receipts? What do they do with the receipts, i.e. what value do they have for the company running it? How do those companies make money?

NewHorizons2020 · 16/05/2020 06:59

@ohmygiddiest - just used your link, thank you !

ohmygiddiest · 16/05/2020 10:38

@NewHorizons2020 Good stuff! It's a great site - I cashed out £109 in a 5 weeks without much effort and not doing any gambling sites.

If anyone wants to join:

20cogs.co.uk/validate/refer_a_friend/welcome/2224456?keyword=referred

Their sister site - not as profitable, but you can cash out when you get to £10

YouGov is going well for me now, but I'm still not convinced by Populous Live where I still haven't managed to do a survey without buying screened out. I'm not really sure what they want.

Rad2016 · 16/05/2020 11:56

How does Yougov work guys. I've just signed up and have 100 points already. Should I just do surveys randomly or will they send me invites?

rockyroadmess · 16/05/2020 11:59

Cleo (a budgeting app on Messenger) is offering a free £5 with this link!

www.meetcleo.com/referrals?code=cleo-OJq7_a

All you have to do is link a bank account, create a wallet (this is basically your savings pot) and you can withdraw £5 instantly.

curdsandwhey · 16/05/2020 12:21

Yougov will send you email invites for the surveys that award points, i.e. count towards your payment. These surveys are like buses, nothing for ages and then they all come along at once.

The other random questions and opinions on the site I don't bother with as they're not paid. Take part for fun if you like, but personally I've got better things to do.

527040minutes · 16/05/2020 12:25

Given in and started 20 cogs (@ohmygiddiest used your link if it helps to know?)

Cog 2 I've got the option of one I can't do, or another that only pays £1.50 so I'm going to wait it out for offers to reload. How often do they normally reset?

NewHorizons2020 · 16/05/2020 12:27

Am relatively new to this, just a query to the seasoned savers here .. how much time do you spend on average on these sites ? Just wondering if
the effort involved is worth

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 16/05/2020 12:41

I used to find that I could make about £150 a year from Populuslive with only about 25 surveys or so per £50 pay out BUT I have been screened out of quite a few recently (sitting at £48 earnings for about the past month or so).

I used to do all the survey sites regularly but got so fed up with the time taken for peanuts earnings for most that I've not bothered much recently.

curdsandwhey · 16/05/2020 12:49

@NewHorizons2020 I know this sounds like a wishy-washy answer but it depends on how much you feel your time is worth, and what else you are doing with your time. For example Prolific in order to get any surveys you have to stay logged in a lot until one pops up, so that's fine if you're always on your computer doing other stuff anyway. YouGov and Intellizoom take about 10 minutes per survey but they send you email invites so you get a chance to do them.
