@themamayo getting an error each time doesn't sound right. Is the number of tasks completed at the top of the page going up? If not I'd stop and contact them before you do any more as you want to make sure your work is being logged!!

Do they autogenerate your hours on a weekly basis?

I assume when they say provide your maximum hours, it meant work as much as you can!

Glad it worked for you @SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock. I did a search in google about how to query and include location and it mentioned the # key so I tried it and it worked.
@ifuckarses, I don't think it does change the location at the bottom. I think that stays as your locale, but it does provide more relevant information for that area, e.g. "first bus timetable Glasgow" will give you more relevant results for Glasgow. If the query is something like "apple crumble", I wouldn't bother changing it as it wouldn't make a massive difference to the results.

@DontCallMeDarling if you've got an appen invoice running already for another project where you add the hours yourself, these hours will show up on there weekly. If you haven't, you probably won't see them generate until the end of the month.

I seem to be some progress at last! I'm not making huge amounts but it's amazing how quickly the pennies mount up! Thanks to all who've advised and encouraged me so far. I've noticed my stats on UHRS are not great, I seem to have made more incorrect than correct calls - will I get booted out for good do you think?

@AStubbornlyPersistentIllusion I think it's a 3 strikes and you're out rule with tasks on UHRS. But you can still just do different tasks when they come in, in my experience

Another 4.5hours clocked up on B*ne. Need to get some cleaning and chores done now but hoping to get some more done later tonight as long as there are still tasks left! Think I'm currently at around 20hours since last Friday.

That was an hour and half ago. Expected 30mins at most.

Meanwhile, the clock is ticking and I'm missing out on raking in the dosh. 😭

My Appen page is still in holding mode but huge thanks to whoever first mentioned Neevo, I've netted over a tenner with them already and that's only on the $0.03 tasks. I'm still waiting for payment for the $0.15 and $3 tasks I've completed so really happy with that!
I've also completed the first two Utest academy tests and passed. At what point should I expect my rating to go up from Unrated having done that? I've still not been accepted for any paid Utest tasks ☹

Well I originally had around 2hrs and 45 mins free to work before the school run, obviously that didn't happen. DC are now home from school so not going to get chance to do anything until later this evening. Really hoping there's tasks left. 🤞

It's just frustrating waiting an age for any work, yet having time on your hands to do it. Then not being able to put in the hours when work is finally available.

I guess I'm just feeling a bit more under pressure to crack on, what with not receiving the B* link when we were meant to.

I've also been invited to loads of paid stuff on uTest but just don't have the time to do everything.

Looking a lot like buses at the mo. You wait an age then 3 arrive at once.

@ruralwanderer I have done 6 or 7 uTest academy lessons, and also a few paid projects. I am still unrated, although have been invited to quite a few paid tasks. I just haven't been able to do them. @Lougle really put the time and effort in though, and they got their rating up pretty quickly.

I use clockify for a time and project tracker easy to use and I think it's great.

Just catching up on the new thread, been busy with MB on Cheltenham the past few days. Made about £200 which I'm happy with (tax free ). Would have been more but I made a couple of daft mistakes. Been religiously doing T'ee every night and a wee bit of B'ne although I don't enjoy it as much, I like the jobs I can do easily in front of the tv and I have to concentrate a bit more on that!

@Buster27 congratulations on the baby news, hope it's all going smoothly.

@Otterses sorry to hear about the job, hope another one comes up on the list soon.

@ruralwanderer I started on 4th January, was still posting that I had nothing at all by 15th January, but had started doing academy challenge cycles. By the 21st I had gone from unrated to proven. Sometime towards the end of January (I can't search our threads because they aren't showing) I was bronze. I've now been silver for just over one week consistently.

I am getting far more invitations than I can accept. Some days are good, some days are frustrating. It's the nature of it.

I'm just checking in with a progress report re. UTest. I'm still continuing to earn good money, I think, for the time I put in. Most of all, I'm seeing my confidence increase. Today I was given a message that the TTL thought I may have duplicated someone's report. I wrote a message back, politely saying 'No I haven't, because they said x, y, z and my issue is a,b,c....'. I felt quite nervous, because they are the 'boss', but it has just been approved as very valuable. That particular bug was an instantly obvious issue, so it's very good money for the time it took.

Just had an email from Appen inviting me to take a test to pivot over from Cttonwood to Oz*k. I passed (yay!) so assuming everything goes to schedule (I'm looking at you Appen ) that project should be starting in the next couple of weeks.
