@bkaz if you asked me yesterday, I'd have said yes. Today has not been a good day, but I'm also feeling unwell.

Basically, as I'm sure you've seen, there are test cases and exploratory testing. Test cases want you to carry out a series of steps to see if they're bugged. Exploratory testing is relatively free for all.

Then, there are cycles where you have to have a 'slot' which means you fulfil certain criteria (Device, operating system, language, country, etc.) and other cycles where you can just accept the invite.

There is normally a listed pay rate prior to the task being accepted. The better you perform, the higher the pay. Some people make a lot of money, but it's not a get rich quick environment - you need to build the skill.

@Tefiti2, I'm afraid that project is finished now. I know this because I sent in all the downloads last week and then got an email saying they had reached their limit with UK testers and weren't accepting anymore. Would have been nice to know before I started cleaning up and downloading 30 days worth of data, but that's Appen for you!

Oh @catatemyhomework thank you for letting me know - how infuriating for you!! Going to pop all my eggs into the same basket with Crisp then and hope I reach the top of their waiting list soon! Maternity leave pay shall not beat me!

@BertieBotts I'm pretty sure I've failed Rev but it would be nice to find out either way, you just never know! @ZetaPuppis it's strange that we haven't heard back yet, I was refreshing my emails constantly but I've given up bothering now.

I never heard back from Rev either and I took the test a few weeks ago now. I think it's actually rude to not tell someone if they've passed or failed. Perhaps they wouldn't have made such a great employer after all!

I was trying to find out how long they take to get back, because they do say within 2 days on their site. Someone said they heard back after a month that they’d passed.
Others said two weeks. But it’s been over two weeks now.
Lots of negative stuff about them though! So yes, maybe they wouldn’t have been that great?

Argh as if my uTest problems weren't enough (have sent support request now, fingers crossed it comes back with something helpful) I am having issues with Clickworker. Apparently they have a forum but when I try to log in it tells me my username doesn't exist It's the same fucking username at the top of the page, yes it does exist! The only thing I can think is my account might not be considered "Active" - which would explain why I only get bitty little tiny tasks, I suppose?

Had invoice from Appen for the work I did last night on the new project and the pay seems fairly low, working out around £6.50 an hour for me. I'm not sure how much it would improve with speed as u can only go so fast.

It's interesting with the shares...I know they say they are random, but it's interesting that the share I spent £0.86 on has increased by 2.38% since I bought it, but the two shares that I was given have decreased by 2.89% and 4.47% since I got them. Still, I have 16p withdrawable cash to my name...a win, I'm sure.

That moment when you see a project you haven't applied for and then your moment is dashed because you realise that the reason you didn't apply is that you don't speak a foreign language.

@anxiouswaiting thanks for posting the job ad. I was just about to ask if anyone has tried online transcribing. Have you done any? My typing speed is still way too slow for these types of positions unfortunately!

@Lougle My shares have dropped too, they're well-known names though so I'm just going to sit in them and hope they eventually do well! I've also signed up to Trading 212 which seem identical to Freetrade. Might as well get shares on both!!
