I've noticed that she likes to make public announcements about her team that simulatenously stroke their egos and also commits them to working with her for extended periods of time, or just subtly announces their allegiance to the company on their behalf.
The ego stroking is a great way to increase compliance in the individual. The public "goal setting" makes it really hard for them to change their mind or give up because it's all been announced publicly,
"Karen has worked with me on a 6 month plan to be earning £2000 a month!" - "What a rock star she is! Well done Karen"
The positive responses from other teamies - "You're gonna smash this" etc etc. This adds to the pressure to follow through on the plans even if they don't come to fruition.
Get enough people setting goals. The longer time frame the better, all investing in FLP. Whether they're successful on an individual level that doesn't matter, she'll make bank.
Also that ego stroking on her other team member who is doing "mentoring"...
It's all just so disingenuous.
Bearing in mind how astronomically unlikely it is to earn the kinds of figures she's setting people in these goals, it's just setting everyone up for major disappointment.
These people get ego stroked for doing nothing and then end up crashing and burning. Then she rinses and repeats.
Just blatant manipulation.
