A big thank you to to @reddA for compiling the list below :) and thanks to @Otterses for all the hard work, keeping these threads going.

Oh dear! I've been blocked too! Thought I was doing OK too. Says I'm not blocked for doing future work with them though.

justtheonethen · 22/09/2019 12:04

Anyone blocked with the Pinterest thing don't worry they unblock you again after a few days. Happened to me Grin. Not really sure what I did wrong though and I haven't done anything else as I would rather do crisp.

Buster27 · 22/09/2019 12:04

Hi all - apologies for going awol, first trimester pregnancy left me knackered so money making was put on the back burner (have been lurking though). Energy levels much better again now so keen to get back into this.

At the start of August I hit a very lucky casino win of £500 and decided I was happy with that for the month so gave myself most of August off. Unfortunately I ended up taking September off too so I've made practically nothing this month.

Still haven't been accepted on any long term Appen projects, which is disappointing. I have just over $200 of Appen payments pending, but Payoneer haven't released them to my paypal as the link doesn't seem to be set up correctly. They've confirmed the payments are pending and will be released once it's set up again.. but the link they sent me to do that doesn't work. So waiting to hear back again Hmm

Nothing from crisp yet either. Redid the test on a different email and got 19 first time this time, not holding my breath on hearing from them though!

I logged on to Rev again but I don't think I can be bothered with it as I can't see it becoming worthwhile from an hourly rate perspective. I was going to attempt to reach the second level to see if it makes a difference, but you have to maintain a certain level to get there and I think it will come down to luck of who does your quality control as the harshness of marking seems to vary a lot!

May take a look at Cloudworkers. Not sure it will be for me, but I would like something other than matched betting as my income from that fluctuates a lot.

rhij86 · 22/09/2019 12:12

@justtheonethen that's good to know!

Can anyone help from a practical point of view... I'm guessing for doing this, especially things like long term work on appen if I'm lucky enough to get it, we have to declare the income?

So do I need to set myself up as self employed? Keep invoices? And do I need to track everything inc stuff from answering surveys or just 'proper' jobs like appen and clickworkers?

MrsGaryLightbody · 22/09/2019 12:27

Clickworker/ Pinterest I'm certainly not an expert but have been doing quite successfully since May. There's more jobs to be had if you go into their webpage but for convenience I use the app.
Pinterest usually has two types of job one paying about 27p other 47p approx oh in UsD .
Spelling mistakes in the title of the lower paid one count as irrelevant not relevant if you see what I mean. Ie spelling mistakes are wrong but remember Americans spell slightly different to UK so color would not be wrong Wink the higher paid one takes longer to check but more obviously different or same . This only makes sense if you are doing clickworker Grin
As for mistakes yes it happens but I think at the moment there's a glitch on the app / site so hopefully will be fine . Remember to update app regularly as they are always updating.

Good luck hopefully that's all clear.

BlackCatFan · 22/09/2019 12:31

Damn. Thought I was on a roll with clickworker.. only managed to reach €4 before being kicked out for mistakes. 😥 oh well..

Otterses · 22/09/2019 13:01

@rhij86 I know it's been mentioned a few times already on this thread, but everyone has a '£1000 trading allowance' which covers additional income. I'd register as self employed regardless of what you estimate you'll earn.

Appen, Crisp, and I believe Clickworker all generate invoices you'll need to keep. With survey sites like profilic, they have tracking features inbuilt so you can easily access information about what you've earned and when. Really, you should be declaring everything extra you earn.

rhij86 · 22/09/2019 13:14

@Otterses thank you - now you mention it I remember you saying it before! Sorry for making you repeat yourself Blush

Thanks again ladies for all your help and patience with this!

Frenchdoors1 · 22/09/2019 13:38

Earlier on today I said I had been blocked on Clickworker. I was having a look around the site and thought I should just see what happens again when I click on a task, clicked on a task and was back on doing them again.

Frenchdoors1 · 22/09/2019 15:48

Just went on again and it's telling me I can't work at the minute it's full. Hmm

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 22/09/2019 18:06

I'm blocked now too!
Has anyone managed to get the training guide, i can't seem to access it either!

Frenchdoors1 · 22/09/2019 18:27

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock
I can't access the training either.
But like MrsGaryLightbody said upthread, there seems to be a glitch at the moment Confused

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 22/09/2019 18:50

Thank you. Will cross my fingers.

toastytea · 22/09/2019 19:17

I've just been accepted on nile and quickly did a batch while I was feeding my kids lunch. Anyway, afterwards when I had more time I read the guidelines properly and realised the comments I left definitely aren't detailed enough. Now wondering will I be thrown off task? Anyone have experience of this?

Also, anyone that's done noyo- is it a one off task or monthly? Thank you!!

justtheonethen · 22/09/2019 19:41

@toastytea I would hope there is some leeway to start with. I have just started too. Are you making sure that you spend an hour on it? I think you can only invoice for time spent. I am looking at MN in between as otherwise it wouldn't take anywhere near that Grin

justtheonethen · 22/09/2019 19:41

Also noyo is a one off but you might get asked to do it again after 45 days

toastytea · 22/09/2019 20:44

Thanks @justtheone yeah spending an hour on it - there were a lot of distractions for me! Won't be doing it at lunch time again. Will make sure I put effort in tomorrow!

pisspants · 22/09/2019 21:55

I also did my first Nile batch today but only got 16 things in there - is that normal do you know?

justtheonethen · 22/09/2019 21:59

@pisspants did you do it on your mobile or laptop? If mobile when you go back into it there will be the remaining 14 to do. Think on computer you refresh a few times before starting and then if still less than 30 you just screenshot at the end.

Pinkjellyfish · 22/09/2019 22:25

Another who’s been blocked on the Clickworker Pinterest task Grin Now it’s just saying there’s no tasks. And I couldn’t access the training guide either.

I’m currently doing the Appen Truckee project although I missed a whole week because I started a part time job so I won’t earn as much this month. It’s easy money but incredibly tedious!

I’ve been doing Rev on and off for about 6 months but I’m disenchanted after realising that the PayPal dollars to pounds conversion rate is lower than the actual conversion rate Sad So I’ve been earning less than I thought the whole time.

pisspants · 22/09/2019 22:36

thanks @justtheonethen I went back on and there were 14 there! I have just done those as well and the follow up task. forgot to screenshot though - oops! thanks for your help with it.

justtheonethen · 22/09/2019 22:39

@pisspants I forgot to screenshot too Grin

GachaBread · 22/09/2019 23:06

Newbie here but been lurking for a while. So I applied for cloudworkers two weeks ago. A week later they sent me an email back telling me what the requirements were for the role. I replied that very same day and stated I was happy to proceed and that I fit all the requirements etc. It has now been a week and one day and I haven't heard back from them. Is this normal?

GachaBread · 22/09/2019 23:29

I've signed up to crisp and appen. Like many others I have not heard from crisp but waiting to here from appen regarding sankura. Fingers crossed as these two seem to be the main money spinners.
Since beginning of September I started Qmee and have made a grand total of £30.61
Vypr I redeemed my first fiver and that went into PayPal on Friday just gone. Took me exactly two weeks to get the 10000 points.
Tonight I've signed up to a website called TakeNote. It's a transcript service so fingers crossed I hear back from them.
I've been doing Roamler and BeMyEye for just under a year and have made a decent amount from these two apps in that time so will continue with them for the foreseeable.
I'm signed up to People for research,TakePartInResearch and researchi. Ive only been picked for one project so far but I was paid cash and it was only one hour of my time so I'm hoping to get picked for some more.
I do work also for Tern and mystery-shoppers.co.uk,they both have really good assignments that pay well and into PayPal.
Your says pays is another website which I make roughly £20 every 4 months from. Pays straight into PayPal. Surveys are very short and pay is very low but it's still money.
I've signed up to prolific and respondent so just waiting for some good stuff to come through on their.
