A big thank you to to @reddA for compiling the list below :) and thanks to @Otterses for all the hard work, keeping these threads going.

There aren't rules, as long as you've made some extra cash. So from eBay to remote jobs to saving money by switching your house insurance provider - it all counts.

Does anyone do the Lion Bridge ‘Web Content Judge Side by Side‘ role?

I’ve had an email to apply for it and wondering whether to or not?

DontCallMeDarling I’d be interested to know what the transcription pay is like on isoft when you find out! I’ve been doing it on Rev for several months but the pay isn’t great, especially with PayPal’s dollar to pound conversion rate.

Just had a thought, I use boom25 as a way to boost my cash. It's a cashback site that works a little differently in as much as you have a 1 in 25 chance of winning back the whole amount of your purchase - from takeaways to holidays. I've won a few takeaways and gift cards back so far :)
Let me know if anyone wants a referral code (I get a bonus for anyone who signs up, think you might too?)

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 17/09/2019 16:37

Is anyone interested in having a Revolut account. I use mine to buy and sell online so it keeps things separate from my main account. The currency exchange rate is fab too. We use them when we go abroad.
Also, you can freeze/unfreeze the card and view your pin on the ap.

If you sign up using my link then we get £10 each.

@VeniceBeach unfortunately I won't be able to tell you as started the test and after only completing five I decided there was no point in wasting my time. Their answers seemed to be inconsistent with guidelines Confused. Maybe it was me!

VeniceBeach · 17/09/2019 23:15

@DontCallMeDarling Hmm, after a brief google people seem to find the transcribing work on there difficult so I think I will stick to Rev for the moment!

justtheonethen · 18/09/2019 08:00

How long did it take people to be added to the rating tool on Nile?

Otterses · 18/09/2019 08:17

@justtheonethen

Grin a MONTH for me when I first started it! Really pleased to see how many people have been added to Nile.

Otterses · 18/09/2019 08:17

www.talkinsights.com

Surveys. Seems to have high payouts though.

Otterses · 18/09/2019 08:35

Really excited to see some of you are looking in/started blogging too Smile

Moremoneyplease · 18/09/2019 08:38

Anyone seen this thread? The OP says she gets about £18 per hour teaching EFL online even if students don't show up. I've pm her for the name of the company (she doesn't want to say it in the thread...) but haven't heard back. Any guesses??

justtheonethen · 18/09/2019 08:51

@Otterses a month!

Otterses · 18/09/2019 08:56

@justtheonethen

Grin that was a year and a half ago ...

Zebrimid · 18/09/2019 10:03

It's itutorgroup, you can apply on the website but there are better ones out there. Some of your pay is dependent on student ratings and they chop and change rules a lot. But the good thing is its not just beijinf peak hours like the others.
You get paid for no shows who book in advance if you stay in the classroom the whole time and fill out the progress report.

You will need a red polo shirt and to create a background out of their logos so you can't see your wall.

Moremoneyplease · 18/09/2019 10:29

Thanks @Zebrimid! Will have a look. Which ones do you think are better?

Zebrimid · 18/09/2019 10:49

There's a group on Facebook called hired esl teachers with job reviews and people write up reviews and compare various ones. Itutor in that is seen as a good secondary one but not a main one if you get me.

I dont want to be like this company is an amazing alternative if I've never worked for them! But that group is a really good resource to see all possible company reviews!
The pay rate they offered me was in the pictures below.

I am interested in online English teaching and am looking into taking a course. Do all or most companies require a degree though as I do not have one

caringcarer · 18/09/2019 17:24

Place marking

TheLolaMontez · 18/09/2019 17:28

Hi everyone, just done a respondent phone survey, it was an hour for $100 USD. Very easy money! Be good if those came along every day Smile

Moremoneyplease · 18/09/2019 18:30

Thanks, @Zebrimi, that's great!

MrsGaryLightbody · 18/09/2019 18:35

@TheLolaMontez wow that's brilliant.. is that the one where you have to be on social media?

TheLolaMontez · 18/09/2019 18:38

I think you have to be, yes. I think it's linked up to my LinkedIn

Zebrimid · 18/09/2019 18:38

I know zero about this one as a tutor, I just discovered it today having a language lesson myself not teaching on it, but thought I would throw it out into the thread incase anyone likes the look of it as it hasn't been mentioned before! Judging off my tutor today, you choose your own rate and times ans I guess it's mostly adults.
