A big thank you to to @reddA for compiling the list below :) and thanks to @Otterses for all the hard work, keeping these threads going.

@m00rfarm lol! I wish there was a spelling and grammar option! 🤣🤣🤣

AHobbyaweek · 13/09/2019 23:49

Attempted the transcribe me exam tonight and I have read and tried for hours and failed all of the audios. Retries two and passed and failed the last one with 96%.
So disappointed.
Today has been a difficult day at work and awful luck at trying to make extra money too. Feeling sorry for myself.

Wolfff · 14/09/2019 07:53

@AHobbyaweek

Sorry to hear you're so upset. It must be very disappointing to put that time and effort in for no reward. That company exploits people judging from posts on social media, so perhaps in the longer term you are better off.

I assume you are doing/have tried the other ideas on this thread?

ChubRubTub · 14/09/2019 07:56

Oh no, Hobby, sorry you're feeling like that. I'm pretty discouraged too.

I've been waiting for Crisp since May and have passed a number of exams with Appen, but haven't been offered anything apart from the $9 survey thing.

I looked at the TranscribeMe exam, but gave up about 1 minute into the first audio. It's definitely not for me. I think the pay would work out really low as well.

They say $15 for one hour audio time. It takes roughly 4x time, so 1 hour of audio would take 4 hours. That's $3.75 per hour!

What else have you applied for?

seizethecuttlefish · 14/09/2019 08:18

@AHobbyaweek that sucks. Hope things get better. I think we all go through the feeling sorry stage.
I have my second demo for SayABC tomorrow. The first didn't happen as there were no students. But they are paying me $15 for it, if I qualify and they employ me. I also have a huge LionBridge test to prep for. Busy weekend. Hoping something comes from it!

Thanks all. I have been working at some of the other things and matched betting and little bits from other platforms are slowly chipping away. I was just hoping for something a little more stable as having to refresh everything all the time is getting tiring.
DH has got all the documents and bits back from lionbridge so I'm hoping he can do that and pass their exams.

Can anyone doing Slicethepie.com give me any tips on improving my review quality? I can't get it up past 3 stars.

Also if anyone wants to use my code its here

Hi all. I've just joined Sweatcoins. Basically it counts all the steps you do outside (using steps and gps) and converts them to cash. I thought it would be worth a try as I walk often with my dog and go running.

It looks like it might take a while to earn much but it runs in the background and doesn't seem to drain my battery. So it seemed worth a try.

It might even make me fitter!

If you want to try please use my referral link.

sweatco.in/i/jen946321 Check out this free app 👆 It pays to walk!

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 14/09/2019 17:00

Click link hopefully!

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock

Ooh I have used your link, thanks!

StudentHelp · 14/09/2019 17:32

I’ve used sweatcoin for a few months and still don’t have enough to get anything with it Sad

justtheonethen · 14/09/2019 19:45

@bkaz I sent you a message as would need your surname to refer you Smile

seizethecuttlefish · 14/09/2019 21:57

Got accepted for the istonesoft project. Anyone started it?

zebrimid · 15/09/2019 05:29

Ooh I hope I get something on stonesoft soon then!

justtheonethen · 15/09/2019 06:33

Just heard from isoftstone that they want men now. I really need to crack on with that one. I can't seem to get motivated for it Confused

WheelyCote · 15/09/2019 07:33

Thanks french...i have an old iphone that has latest ios on so yay.

What do you have to do on isoft?

anxiouswaiting · 15/09/2019 07:51

I'm getting silence from isoftstone. I did the 10 recordings let them know and then nothing. Tried to log in to the recording website again and can't. No reply to e-mail. Guess they don't like my voice Shock

Wolfff · 15/09/2019 08:13

The Isoftstone project is very straightforward, I've done over half of mine, just have to get into the zone. A lot to do though, but the pay is better than say for Fletcher which was a lot more hassle. The website crashed a couple of times when I was using it yesterday, but on the whole works quite well.

seizethecuttlefish · 15/09/2019 09:06

I've sent off my training recordings. Here's hoping that they pass. I can batter through them this week.
Been doing some test questions for a Lionbridge project. It's hard going but quite interesting. Need to sit the test this week.
Fingers crossed that I have students for my SayABC demo class this morning. 2nd attempt as no one was there last week.

OP posts:
justtheonethen · 15/09/2019 12:07

@Wolfff you have spurred me on to get on with the recordings! I just did 350 in an hour so that's good. I'm only on 700 but should be able to bash them out in time.

StudentHelp · 15/09/2019 12:59

Just been offered a £3 survey on prolific but it’s desktop only and I’m not at home Sad
Hate it when I miss well-paying surveys

DontCallMeDarling · 15/09/2019 17:51

@ChubRubTub
I too have been feeling quite discouraged, fingers crossed (still) crisp will one day come knocking. To be honest I've been waiting since June and I don't think it's likely as obviously new people are applying every day.

Frenchdoors1 · 15/09/2019 21:04

Has Anyone who does User testing had any luck with the tasks. I've had 3 this evening but I couldn't do any of them because I don't know how to talk Japanese, have an x-box or buy software or whatever it was for work Hmm

ChubRubTub · 16/09/2019 02:19

Thanks @DontCallMeDarling. I'm plugging away trying other things.

I'm applying to isoftstone now. Has anyone else worked for them? Which type of projects?

I wonder what the longest waiting time for Crisp is for people who actually had a positive outcome. I feel I won't ever hear now it's been so long.
