I think this material highlights the cult like nature of what they are doing, it just sounds like they are recruiting for a weird religion not a business.

I imagine it's very like the script Scientologists use.

I remember my OH approaching a poor woman sitting next to her on a bus (I was across the aisle), with the line "You don't know me, but I am the woman who can change your life...".

I remember being, quite literally, shouted at by my FLP upline in Superdrug as I didn't want to go up to a complete stranger who was looking at shampoo and try to 'recommend' ours instead. My manager didn't even care that the woman could hear her telling me off for not going up to her and looked quite alarmed. Last time I ever tried 'contact marketing'.

Also handed out leaflets to random people in the street on a 'contact marketing' day out with another distributor. Cringe.

I was also told to go through my junkmail, local noticeboards etc, and cold contact people from the businesses on there. Thankfully I didn't go down that route. But if you don't, and you end up not being successful, it's used as proof that it's your fault.

@dickiedavisthunderthighs let us know how many views she gets on her lives. The numbers were pretty high which I'm sure she was delighted with but I'm fairly convinced it was all us! I'm actually glad she'll get the real number of her friends who are interested...

It would have been even more embarrassing to have a public row with her (which is what it would have turned into if I had suggested to her that this woman may not be interested). Much better to opt for the half hour walk home.

By this point, she had exhausted her 'warm market' and I had stopped going out to meet the friends that still asked us out, it was so excruciating.

Uber has been love bombing her downline and encouraging her managers to do the same to try and remotivate them. Lots of soul searching posts and relighting of fires going on. All seem to posting from the same crib sheet. You can just picture them all rehearsing the hair flick and the nauseating “hi guys” the “erms” and “so” ready for the compulsory lives.
I suspect the hair flick is used like the Masonic handshake to identify you in social settings to other MLMs so they don’t try to recruit you.

I expect nurse has read this thread and doesn't know how to handle it tbh. She probably went private because yawn did and will follow her lead.

If so, well done for putting it out there, it helped me join a few of the dots in understanding my OH's behaviour.

Someone asked how PhD has got into Australia, could she not just enteevthe country as a 'backpacker for a while and then claim to miss home? I think her boyfriend is from Oz, secret wedding for migration purposes? Or maybe further study?

She says she's there to be with her boyfriend, but there are more hoops than that to jump through to get any sort of permanent residence...

That QLS recruiting material is full of misleading claims about income.

But just because she has gone there right now doesn't mean she HAS got residence. We have just assumed that...

I don't really understand lanza bot- she's not doing too bad with the cheques still but seemed to go quiet/step away from flp posting years ago.

I think all uplinks should be forced to give real number details to potential recruits, like in phd video - Id love to know Yawn's stats, she's great at pulling in the people, less do at progressing them. I'm surprised phd did post her numbers as it shows how terrible the business is, such a high proportion of dropouts.

Also - so Roomie and Yawn aren't friends anymore. Will Roomie have been allowed to swap up lines, or will her team still be contributing to Yawn's ccs?
