Another month done folks Grin a quarter of the way through the year.

I thought we could try something different this time, the original list looks a little redundant. So I thought we could all post our top five earners from the last few months.

For me, in no particular order:

  1. Leapforce.
  2. Crisp Thinking
  3. Angelfish
  4. Quidco
  5. MobileXpression (bloody love this passive one!)

What're yours?

@Otterses I don't get the baby in to bed until 8 and then I'm knackered so it's not an option at the moment. In the future though!

I've applied to crisp and passed test, on the waiting list. Assume I'll be waiting a while?

79problems · 09/04/2019 20:48

I went on the Crisp waiting list on the 10th March but still haven’t heard back. Anyone else?

PineapplePatty · 09/04/2019 21:26

I've been on the crisp waiting list since mid feb and haven't heard anything yet.

morekidsthanhands · 09/04/2019 21:49

Well happy with crisp got my statement through for £178 and the dash only said £100 ish so well made up! Managing to get around £10 an hour now I'm quicker so next month should be brilliant!
I get annoyed when it's slow - find it much quicker with content in the evening so I do an hour or so once the kids are asleep.
I'm in the process of adopting my foster children so I'm hopeful I can use this to make up some of that lost income without having to return to work while they are small. Thank you!

reddA · 09/04/2019 21:51

There's been loads in the news the last couple of days about social media monitoring and the law so hopefully Crisp will gain even more customers soon! Hope you all hear from them soon, I think it was just a case of timing and maybe the same with Appen (who don't appear to want me at all Hmm )

reddA · 09/04/2019 21:59

@morekidsthanhands awww congratulations on the adoption :) and the earnings, Crisp does seem to get easier doesn't it? Just recognition of the different companies and what they are looking for - although, there is one client I hate and actually groan when they come up as the wording is usually really long and waffling and generally nothing to do with the client at all but you have to read it just in case, I'm sure you all know who I am talking about Hmm ).

I actually would love to foster teens but my current situation wouldn't work :(

misstiggiwinkle · 10/04/2019 08:38

I think I've been kicked off Nile! Went to do it this morning and it's no longer there and I can't access the Facebook rft page Shock. Not really sure what to do!

margaritasbythesea · 10/04/2019 10:10

Oh no Miss Tiggy! Any idea why? I'm nervous now!

Otterses · 10/04/2019 10:30

@misstiggiwinkle DO NOT PANIC!

That happened to me a few times Smile I'm sure it's just a glitch. Have you tried logging in and out then refreshing 'all projects' again?

I've been procrastinating this morning. I'm too excited to concentrate.

I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNTIE Grin !!!

I'm going to need to get cracking with Crisp so I can go play supermarket sweep in the baby department in John Lewis!

justtheonethen · 10/04/2019 11:58

@Otterses congratulations!!

supercee · 10/04/2019 11:59

Otterses · 10/04/2019 12:29

reddA · 10/04/2019 12:52

@otterses brilliant! Me too, next month - can't wait :)

WhoChecksTheCheckers · 10/04/2019 16:06

What is crisp and how do you sign up? I googled but all I found was sites about the snacks Grin

Otterses · 10/04/2019 16:35

@WhoChecksTheCheckers Crisp Thinking Grin I've realised how weird our conversation must seem now!

'I earned £111 from crisps!'

If you search that, then you should see the 'apply to be a freelance moderator' option on the jobs page.

Frenchdoors1 · 10/04/2019 18:36

So what exactly do you have to do on 'Crisp Thinking'? Smile

Is it easy?

Otterses · 10/04/2019 18:48

@Frenchdoors1

I wouldn't say it's 'hard' as such - it's quite mentally draining though. If you do the application quiz, that'll give you a good idea of the sort of thing you'd be doing. See if you find that easy/hard and it'll be a good indicator of how you would find the actual work Smile

What you're doing is classifying content on behalf of brands. So flagging up swearing, in appropriate images, PR risks, etc. So they can respond without having to sift through loads of content that isn't a 'risk'. Does that make sense?

Anyone had this when they click on the the 'qualify' button on Appen tasks?
