Another month done folks Grin a quarter of the way through the year.

I thought we could try something different this time, the original list looks a little redundant. So I thought we could all post our top five earners from the last few months.

For me, in no particular order:

  1. Leapforce.
  2. Crisp Thinking
  3. Angelfish
  4. Quidco
  5. MobileXpression (bloody love this passive one!)

What're yours?

Anyone doing the appen recording task- what letters do you put in front of your global number? I can't find the info now 🙈

justtheonethen · 12/04/2019 08:56

To make the pin I mean. Or can anyone tell me where the info will be?

mydogisthebest · 12/04/2019 09:14

justtheonethen, I had to put WEN in front of my number

justtheonethen · 12/04/2019 09:25

Found it 🙈

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 12/04/2019 09:55

Still nothing from Appen - can you apply more than once?

boylovesmeerkats · 12/04/2019 11:20

I do Ipsos, tern and gfk (now ipsos but with a different portal for now)

Most of my work with ipsos but occasionally gfk will have loads of phone stuff so you can do a lot in one month. Tern doesn't pay as well but again have batches of calls sometimes, and depending on time and circumstances the £4 a call can add up. Usually I'd only do double that. You do have to be good at checking each day for new tasks as they go quick and even if there is a quiet month others are much busier and I've earned £50-£100 a month for not doing many and being choosy. The in store ones rarely pay enough anyway.

boylovesmeerkats · 12/04/2019 11:22

@blockrockinbeats sorry didn't tag you above

Bbub · 12/04/2019 12:05

Well ive sent all my documents off to Cloudworker this morning. The next step apparently is a 1.5hr training session over skype (voice call not video).

If you apply you will get a reponse quickly as I think they are always recruiting.

I want to get started ASAP as i have a 4 week break between now and starting a new job so id love to get up and running and make some money now!

Will let you know how it goes!

mydogisthebest · 12/04/2019 12:19

What sort of work is it with Lionbridge? Also how do you apply for it? I can't seem to find anywhere to apply and keep getting info that it has been taken over by appen

Otterses · 12/04/2019 13:05

@Bbub I am DYING to hear about this!

@mydogisthebest it's web search evaluation work generally. Sometimes they offer other projects.

You want to click the second one down, testers raters and curators.

I just did the Crisp test and was told that I had been added to the waiting list. I then received an email saying that I had been added to the waiting list but then telling me in the email that I had got 17 out of 20 in the test and that the pass mark is 19, which you need to be added to the waiting list. Guess that means I haven't managed it, bit gutted as I think I would have quite liked the work. Does anyone know how long you have to wait to do the test again, there was one question where I couldn't even read the advert properly

reddA · 12/04/2019 16:00

@Octopus37 you can do it again straight away, took me 3 attempts, maybe keep track of your answers until you pass? Good luck :)

79problems · 12/04/2019 16:24

Is Cloudworker sex chatting?

Otterses · 12/04/2019 17:01

@79problems yes, to a degree. I'd imagine you get a good volume of 'normal' chat too from folks who are just lonely.

Octopus37 · 12/04/2019 17:12

Thanks reddA, will try again

justtheonethen · 12/04/2019 18:06

Okay project 202 in Appen is awful Sad

Otterses · 12/04/2019 18:24

@justtheonethen Sad it's crap isn't it? I honestly think you're better off dedicating your time to something else. For £31 it really isn't worth it.

You could oh my dish that amount in £20 minutes!

OP posts:
justtheonethen · 12/04/2019 18:34

Totally agree! I haven't seen oh my dish. I'll have a look!

Otterses · 13/04/2019 07:09

Fuming. Woke up to an email at 1am from Appen asking why I hadn't been completing batches of 30 Angry

They TOLD me last week not to worry about it, invoice for what will load and they're trying to resolve issues. It's so bloody irritating. I've been doing every day too without fail to try to compensate for the shortfall.

£17 from crisp yesterday though Smile did 7-9 on and off.

OP posts:
margaritasbythesea · 13/04/2019 07:42

Grr Otterses. Their technical difficulties really get on my nerves. Have they said that you can't invoice? Nothing has worked properly for me since I started on the mob app.

Otterses · 13/04/2019 07:48

@margaritasbythesea it's the first issue I've ever had 😂 I'm waiting on a reply. I copied in the previous discussion we had with their response, so I'm hoping for an apology!

How're you getting on?

OP posts:
margaritasbythesea · 13/04/2019 08:09

Well, I think I am following their instructions to make up for the small batches but I have to write to them about not getting the last part of the task on the mobile.

I do find doing it on the phone a lot easier though, now I am finally on it.

morekidsthanhands · 13/04/2019 09:50

@octopus37 I did the crisp test 3 times and never got higher than 18 - I still got accepted within a couple of days from my last attempt - they must like persistence!

Does anyone use two windows of crisp at a time? I keep trying as the wait between content is annoying and I want to speed things up but I can't get the knack. It like unselects the content so you have to use your mouse again so if anything is slower.

There's been some pretty good surges in the last day and I'm sat here watching the kids gymnastics class annoyed I haven't brought my laptop Angry

Otterses · 13/04/2019 11:56

@morekidsthanhands I'm raging too! Mod 2 is still on 1.7 and I'm at work with nothing to do 😆

Hi All! Hope you don’t mind me jumping on the wagon, I’ve been following the thread for a little while and have to thank you because I’ve made a great start using the Football Index trick!

Just trying to get to grips with Matched Betting and have made about £90 so far but getting towards the end of the intro offers now and it looks a little complicated to get into the existing customer offers - has anyone had any success with these?

Also one from me if you haven’t signed up already - Gala Bingo are doing £60 cashback through Quidco if you sign up as a new customer and deposit/spend £10 on bingo!

Finally, I’ve signed up to CrowdSurf, LionBridge (failed the crisp test!!) and Cloudworker (but now a bit Hmm about the nature of it!) but having just earnt a whopping $2.02 on crowdsurf it has prompted me to insert my ‘tax info’ onto workmarket - I know it’s an American company but they have made me give my NI number and now I’m wondering if there is any formal data sharing between them and HMRC?! Should I be concerned?
