The thread where network marketing / multilevel marketing goes local - not global.

It’s better than any soap opera all this!

Norma27 · 06/04/2019 15:39

How embarrassing for yawn. Talking about chairman’s bonus when she isn’t getting one and didn’t achieve one last year.
I just don’t get how people still listen and fall for it.

gotmychocolateimgood · 06/04/2019 15:39

Whose profile do I need to look at the see the video of today?

Norma27 · 06/04/2019 16:01

The video is from yesterday. On the page of yawn’s downline who flew in from Budapest.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 06/04/2019 16:58

I believe Forever Fibbing HQ is owned by one of Sexy Rexy's US companies, and FLP UK pays a hefty rent each year, which would mean they can offset it against their UK taxes?

Whiterangey · 06/04/2019 17:51

When my local co-op had a refit they didn't have an open day.

It looks like it wasn't that great for the kids. A bouncy castle, face painting and an ice-cream van while their mums are being pressured to buy more stuff.

I noticed receipt bot had a bit full of forecast stuff for customers, although most of the boot appeared to be full of empty cardboard boxes.

How much do you have to personally 'sell' to get your extra manager bonuses? Obviously most of that will be bought by the manager herself.

I am rooting for Receipt to see the light and leave.

BangingOn · 06/04/2019 18:14

I hate how in the video Yawn is emphasising that it took her years and years before she earned any real money. They need to keep their downlines hanging on and deluded for as long as possible to earn their own cheques.

SnoogyWoo · 06/04/2019 18:21

The whole thing is just horrendous.

Spongebobette · 06/04/2019 18:31

The cognitive dissonance must make them dizzy

Fit it into the pockets of time in your life and make an extra 2k a month
But also
Treat it like a business and you’ll see a good return in 3 to 5 years if you put the work in

Which is it? Easy money in spare half hours on FB or a grind for a few years till you see real income?

Well it’s the former to hook you in, and the latter to keep you spending money and blaming yourself for not working hard enough when you lose money

spanfan · 06/04/2019 19:25

Who posted the video? 😁

Whiterangey · 06/04/2019 20:12

Polish bot, she is tagged in one of Yawns posts from yesterday.

UnapologeticallyUnhinged · 06/04/2019 21:07

Last three minutes of Welsh Rarebit talking = classic cult mentality. Textbook. Vile.

Teddy1970 · 06/04/2019 22:18

Was anyone actually there? Apart from the person filming it of course...it just looked like they were talking to an empty room!

Shipley · 06/04/2019 22:46

What does 'Family Fun Day' say to you?

Head office open day reminds me of a team 'Summer Fayre' Castle held in 2016. You had to qualify to attend and it was billed as a 'Family Fun Day'. I worked hard to qualify thinking 'she's loaded, it will be epic, lots to do and fun for kids'. Drove a long, long way. Had a picnic that we had to bring, an Ice Cream van was there and a small basic bouncy castle. No games, no rides etc. Basic. Cliquey if you weren't local to the team or leaders. Boring. Cheap - I'm guessing its the same ice cream van and bouncy castle rolled out for events.

user1479228519 · 07/04/2019 08:44

I love the flyer for the ‘family fun’ section on the open day!!!
Bean bags
DVD’s
Colouring Materials
...... wowsers that’s so forward thinking and inspirational. Who do they hire to arrange such events???

And the ‘we are not child care’ disclaimer at the bottom just tops it off!!! So Bots do not leave your kids in the ‘Bean Bag Room’ whilst you go off and drink the fizzy wine Prosecco

Where do I sign up???

JasperRising · 07/04/2019 09:34

Spongebobette I have noticed some bots try to get around the cognitive dissonance over time required to be successful by advertising that they want people to join them at one of three levels - I can't remember the descriptions exactly but it's like retailer, small team leader, large business developer - with the levels having different income/commitment requirements.

Scrolling back through FL country boss page, I found another form of cognitive dissonance in his link to some piece on being a 'supportive colleague'. Now I know some people use colleague broadly not just to mean their co-workers but, c'mon, for most people the implication is people you work with in a company. So FL, are your reps independent business owners or not?

BSintolerant · 07/04/2019 10:05

Hunbot, that Reddit thread is an interesting find. Bloody Mary Kay!

OP posts:
Hunbot · 07/04/2019 10:25

Ah the story has been removed. Basic premise was that a botted fiance wanted to turn their wedding reception into an mlm craft fair so they could sell shite to the guests. Op understandably said no and the fiance kicked off and op wanted to cancel the wedding

Whiterangey · 07/04/2019 10:27

The reddit thread was mindblowing. Her fiancee is in deep and is unlikely to budge. I think that is one wedding that should not happen until the fiancee is out of Mary Kay. Yet another example of MLM ruining relationships.

acatcalledjohn · 07/04/2019 11:09

I'm not entirely sure I believe that Reddit story was real...

Mind you, we did have a UK bot who had a FL Aloe bottle wedding cake. Of which there is actual evidence...

Whiterangey · 07/04/2019 11:32

On the anti-mlm reddit page there is a photo of a Herbalife wedding cake worth supplement bottles around it. I can believe it. Someone newly botted and with pressure from her new best friends could easily be swayed into thinking it's the best idea ever. Also that by sharing the opportunity they will be helping all of their friends and family.

Some of the things I've read on Pink Truth are bad. Mary Kay bots leaving business cards instead of tips in restaurants, truly believing that sharing the opportunity is worth more than a tip. Many of them went back to places where they did that and made it right when they were out as they were horrified by what they did.

The stories on pink truth are terrible and the women are so brave in sharing to warn others. It was the first anti-mlm site I came across and it's fascinating.

Mary Kay is on a downward spiral, their conference is getting smaller and the amount of directors are decreasing rapidly. Directors is the level to aim for and where the 'big money' is, except its not and those who make it to director spend tens of thousands of dollars getting there and need to spend thousands more to keep the title. It's heartbreaking.

Shipley · 07/04/2019 14:43

I've noticed today another high manager in FL, whose surname is a colour in the rainbow song plus an 's' at the end (not red, yellow, green, purple, orange or blue) is involved with TS Life.

Maybe it's because I was in FLP but I always felt that FL was the high brow MLM and the one if you were going to be successful in it you would be more succesful than a successful bot in another MLM by comparison to the others so if you leave FL there is nowhere better to go.

I cannot comprehend how any bot thinks they keep any credibility by switching to a new MLM. The only way they have any kind of income is if they take a downline with them and rinse them for a month or two

FranceTeam · 07/04/2019 15:11

Is it common for a down line to switch MLMs when their upline does ?

Teddy1970 · 07/04/2019 15:14

The TS life bot could be called Rainbow bot Shipley!
