Hi everyone,
Delurking here to say thanks for all the inspiration in this thread!
I'm not brave enough to start matched betting yet - need time to read up on it thoroughly first - but did join Prolific and have earned £40 so far in around 6 or 7 weeks. After £12 on my first day I did enjoy 5 minutes daydreaming of getting even £5 a day but alas my hopes were quickly dashed. However that's £40 I wouldnt have had otherwise and it's an enjoyable experience. Hopefully there'll be more of that to come.
Can I recommend Nectar Surveys to you all ... don't think I've seen it mentioned yet? It's a bit of a slog on mostly very boring consumer style surveys (e.g. utilities, TV, advertising, foodstuffs, healthcare) and not paid terribly well. It does eventually add up though doing 20 minutes here and there so something to consider. I'm not on it 24/7 but have accumulated £75 worth of Nectar points since October which I'm going to save until Xmas. Every little helps - though I know that's the wrong supermarket!
I've taken the Crisp test 3 times now but keep getting 17 which is very frustrating as I've tried really hard to absorb the ccriteria for each of the 10 risks. I've slowed right down on the subsequent tests, to consider if more than one risk applies etc but am baffled as to where I'm going wrong. Aaarrggh.
Have also applied to Appen around 3 to 4 weeks ago but my dashboard is showing Nile - only - is still in progress. I also applied for Tigris and Saluda which were quickly acknowledged by email but these aren't showing on the Appen Connect dashboard so am assuming I was booted off being considered for those projects for some reason. I do actually have solid prior experience with Appen - 5 years plus on one now defunct project until 2015, including 3 years as an auditor. However, despite apparently remaining on their database I've only ever been contacted since on 4 or 5 occasions for one off surveys at £5 a shot which has been very disappointing. Am hoping some of these new projects may come off sooner or later as I found them good to work for so far as work from home positions go, decent enough management and a fair rate of pay ......
.... currently there are only 2 projects showing for me on Appen Connect - Nile, and Cable (which I can't do without iOS). Is that the same for everyone else?
