I've just joined crisp and got 20/20. It's not too hard if you read the blurb first.

Thanks for this thread, it's motivating me to earn more.

Otterses · 14/03/2019 09:15

@crazygirluk it's because our earnings are off the charts Grin

TwllBach · 14/03/2019 09:18

I just wanted to say thank you to this thread - I started on Saturday and have earned just under £10 a day so far! Not all of it will be cash in hand as I’ve got some airtime rewards but that comes off my phone bill.

My only concern is that it’s through Quidco/ohmydosh/toocashback etc so obviously not sustainable. I see a lot of people are using Crisp but is that everyone’s number one recommendation?

Otterses · 14/03/2019 09:28

@TwllBach I'm still a Leapforce advocate 😂 but Crisp is fab too.

fishandchops · 14/03/2019 09:40

Just had my first payment from Appen and have done the crisp test this morning. Thanks again for this thread

FloodedCuticles · 14/03/2019 14:08

@TwllBach The ‘problem’ with Crisp now is that they’re not actively recruiting. I passed the test a few days ago but it’s waiting list only now, and who knows how long that is! Smile

reddA · 14/03/2019 14:15

My waiting list email was 22nd Feb and I was invited to join on 5th March, still waiting for login though, twiddling my thumbs a bit Blush

mamaslave18 · 14/03/2019 15:21

Question about Appen. Can you do your daily hour in chunks or does it have to be an hour all at once?
I’m wondering if I could do 30 mins each end of the day during my commute?

Otterses · 14/03/2019 15:23

@mamaslave18 I do it during my commute half an hour each way Smile never had an issue.

mamaslave18 · 14/03/2019 16:03

Great! And are they ok with you having time off if you go on holiday? I suppose you could still try and do it.

mamaslave18 · 14/03/2019 17:52

Just finished my first Appen set of 20! How do you make it last an hour? I really had to stretch it out. Nothing loaded for my bake-off task. Does that matter??

reddA · 14/03/2019 18:20

@Fizzyboo, I still hadn't heard today so emailed and got sent the log in - will start tomorrow :)

Fizzyboo · 14/03/2019 18:30

@reddA I got mine too! Though can't investigate this eve as working my regular job... though at brief glance I'm not sure I have log in for the wiki?

lazymumsmh · 14/03/2019 19:12

@mamaslave18 Mine always takes me less time too, but they say to allow 3 mins per ad so I invoice for the hour as long as I've had all 20 ads if that makes sense.

When I'm at home I use the voice tool to dictate and its sooo much quicker.

reddA · 14/03/2019 19:20

That's great, hopefully the rest will follow, I just hope I can do it well, I don't exactly have a job at the moment (it's complicated) so I really need to be able to do this - still nothing from Appen despite me emailing them a query on my account, they haven't responded.

OrigamiZoo · 14/03/2019 21:25

Hello, can I join? I have been with Appen for two years, I did Nile and am now on Saluda. Ask me anything!

I'm with Prolific and Testable Minds (similar to Prolific)
minds.testable.org/

and PureProfile survey site
my.pureprofile.com/feed

Not too many others as they seem time intensive for little reward but open to try others.

I also do a bit of mystery shopping (prefer ones that involve telephone calls) and have various money earning apps on my phone too, I'll take a photo when I've got a chance.

I've done a little matched betting ut now want to do it seriously. I'm with a free site but wondering if it is worth signing up to a paid one?

www.freebets4all.com/

I am now looking into Crisp, thanks for the info on that!

I also do MLM as well, if anybody wants to know more, PM me. I know it stirs mixed feelings.

reddA · 15/03/2019 09:52

I just did about 5 minutes on Crisp and I am so unsure of myself, only a couple were straightforward Confused

Keletubbie · 15/03/2019 11:25

OrigamiZoo - I didn't really start making big money on MB until I joined Profit Accumulator Have you tried their free trial?

catsmother · 15/03/2019 11:53

Hi everyone,

Delurking here to say thanks for all the inspiration in this thread!

I'm not brave enough to start matched betting yet - need time to read up on it thoroughly first - but did join Prolific and have earned £40 so far in around 6 or 7 weeks. After £12 on my first day I did enjoy 5 minutes daydreaming of getting even £5 a day but alas my hopes were quickly dashed. However that's £40 I wouldnt have had otherwise and it's an enjoyable experience. Hopefully there'll be more of that to come.

Can I recommend Nectar Surveys to you all ... don't think I've seen it mentioned yet? It's a bit of a slog on mostly very boring consumer style surveys (e.g. utilities, TV, advertising, foodstuffs, healthcare) and not paid terribly well. It does eventually add up though doing 20 minutes here and there so something to consider. I'm not on it 24/7 but have accumulated £75 worth of Nectar points since October which I'm going to save until Xmas. Every little helps - though I know that's the wrong supermarket!

I've taken the Crisp test 3 times now but keep getting 17 which is very frustrating as I've tried really hard to absorb the ccriteria for each of the 10 risks. I've slowed right down on the subsequent tests, to consider if more than one risk applies etc but am baffled as to where I'm going wrong. Aaarrggh.

Have also applied to Appen around 3 to 4 weeks ago but my dashboard is showing Nile - only - is still in progress. I also applied for Tigris and Saluda which were quickly acknowledged by email but these aren't showing on the Appen Connect dashboard so am assuming I was booted off being considered for those projects for some reason. I do actually have solid prior experience with Appen - 5 years plus on one now defunct project until 2015, including 3 years as an auditor. However, despite apparently remaining on their database I've only ever been contacted since on 4 or 5 occasions for one off surveys at £5 a shot which has been very disappointing. Am hoping some of these new projects may come off sooner or later as I found them good to work for so far as work from home positions go, decent enough management and a fair rate of pay ......

.... currently there are only 2 projects showing for me on Appen Connect - Nile, and Cable (which I can't do without iOS). Is that the same for everyone else?

duffed · 15/03/2019 12:47

@redda if you are unsure on crisp - screenshot the page and click unsure - then at the end of your shift send all the screenshots to the email address in the top bar of slack - it will say something like classification queries. just pop in a note asking for help classifying - then you can learn for next time.

I had to do this a lot my first few shifts but feel more confident now, still unsure for lots! Remember in the training they said they would always prefer you to click unsure than get something wrong.

reddA · 15/03/2019 12:57

Thanks @duffed - I think today was probably quite a tricky one anyway for my first go! screenshot is a great idea, have you had any problems with the options not fitting on the screen on the left?

mamaslave18 · 15/03/2019 13:28

Is anybody else having problems with the Appen Bake-off tasks?? Nothing loads for me.

Fizbo · 15/03/2019 14:06

Hello all, I've been following the thread and have just started with Appen. I didn't realise we are meant to screen shot the last ad? Where do we send the screen shot? Also am I ok to just log my invoices in my diary and then fill them in each month? I have read all the info but can't find an answer. Fantastic thread by the way Smile

Fizbo · 15/03/2019 14:07

@mamaslave18 I did the tasks on my phone then had to use my iPad for the bake off as it wasn't showing on the phone? No idea why, but worked fine on the tablet.
