MLMs/ Network Marketing: Thread 45

Spongebobette · 05/12/2018 12:24

This is the 45th thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, Valentus, TS Life, Monat, Stella and Dot, Tropic, various slimroast/weight loss coffee MLMs and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs.
The reality is that 97% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

Why hasn't Roomie deleted the negative reviews on her FB author page?

Jasmin82 · 11/12/2018 12:47

All part of the "ignore the haters" indoctrination. You don't delete their posts or comments because it shows you have something to hide. Likewise, you don't respond to them.
The problem is,by leaving them up and not responding, people do tend to eventually see those comments and query why you only respond to the positive comments/posts and conclude that you have something to hide.

Thank you Sunshine :)
I had a look at the blurb and it reminds me very much of the Dave Pelzer books. Many of his family also said that he'd written untruths but as someone else upthread pointed out, everyone has a different truth.

SoftlyCatchyMonkey1 · 11/12/2018 13:08

Why is Mrs Stickman called Mrs Stickman?

DownThePan · 11/12/2018 13:21

Mrs Stickman's fella makes wall hangings that are twigs with lots of thread stuff hanging off them. Dreamcatcher-style decor. I think she also had the nickname Woodwife which made me chuckle. Hopefully she is enjoying life after aloe and hasn't felt the wrath of the upline.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 11/12/2018 14:11

And in a surprise to absolutely nobody, Brokebot is sleeping in his car again.

SSDGM · 11/12/2018 14:52

Seems to be the season for Bots to split up from their OH.

I thought Ms Broke was over the moon that he had spent £100s on snake CBD oil cosmetics and haircare?
I wonder if it was taking on yet another MLM that made her chuck him out?

MLMsuperfan · 11/12/2018 16:50

Hard times on Brokebot Mountain. At least he's relatively honest about being homeless, unlike a certain former power couple (since disconnected) who told a pack of used attraction marketing to spin it into a UK tour.

FranceTeam · 11/12/2018 17:17

I don’t think you can delete reviews on FB a business pages, isn’t that the point of them? I guess you can report them if they breach the rules of FB, but you shouldn’t be able to delete them if they are just opinions.

Paddy1234 · 11/12/2018 17:19

Just had a laugh on another thread for worst present ever received.
Someone mentioned that there OH hadn't bought a present and ran into a FL bot and consequently she got some vile tasting gunk and goo to put on her face.

paddy I remember reading ages ago a post from a lady who had refused to buy MLM make up I think it was from a friend who was a bot so the friend persuaded her husband that she really wanted this make up (she didn't). She was then stuck not doing what to say to her husband who thought he'd done a good thing.

BangingOn · 11/12/2018 19:13

Uber posted a Thailand update earlier, full of not-so-stealth brags.

Why is Broke sleeping in the car?!

BSintolerant · 12/12/2018 11:40

Perhaps he fell asleep when he was out dogging.

CurlsandCurves · 12/12/2018 14:47

Woman on Judge Rinder today. Looks so much like Bradfordbot it’s scary.

I’m seriously wondering if it is her, using a different name.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 12/12/2018 15:00

Was thinking exactly the same Curls!

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 12/12/2018 17:39

FFS Instant gratification in action again with Yawn.

Earlier today she posts about wanting a large dog and a matter of hours later she's found one.

Well, I suppose she's got to have something to post about this month seeing as she's "not working"

diamondeaglerangerovercastle · 12/12/2018 20:07

Holy moly, what is yawn compensating for with all those poor dogs (and cat)? Basically hoarding animals. This makes me so sad.

Spongebobette · 12/12/2018 20:40

I think it is worth bearing in mind that ‘leaders’ need to constantly create excitement and envy in their lifestyle and acquisitions

You can do this by showing off how you can afford a holiday to Thailand.

If you are struggling to afford something big shiny and impressive you can create interest and envy by adopting an animal (at no cost to yourself)

I must say that the gap between some of the top bots I watch seems to be widening. I suspect that those who are further up the pyramid have sneakily manoevered to buy their way to a Chairman’s Bonus, ie they have spent money on CCs in order to guarantee a cheque, which means the attraction marketing will have a boost in April, even though they’ve had to spend to get it.

Those slightly further down haven’t managed to do that.

I’m looking to chewed up thatch photos next week!! Big twelve month old puppy means big chewed up house.

willdoitinaminute · 12/12/2018 22:07

*looking forward to

dropdeadfitty · 13/12/2018 09:44

Such a shame - that this the time for the splitting of power couples - led by greed and the constant need to be loved by their chosen clans.
I wonder if the egg nog and mistletoe makes an appearance - they could always swap among each other!

Just goes to show that ponzi acquired made up crypto currencies just can't buy happiness
