MLMs/ Network Marketing: Thread 45

Spongebobette · 05/12/2018 12:24

This is the 45th thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, Valentus, TS Life, Monat, Stella and Dot, Tropic, various slimroast/weight loss coffee MLMs and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs.
The reality is that 97% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

@franheaton here’s the Elle Beau blog on her time in Younique. Botwatch, Timeless Vie and mlmtruth.org all have tales of various MLM experiences. Is that the kind of thing you’re after?

Spongebobette · 15/01/2019 19:28

Do you mean Elle Beau? If you search on her mane you should find her

Thanks both.

In an interesting development over the last week a prominent Welsh JP PMD has defected to Thrive-LeVel. Valley Bot has taken a large number of her JP down line with her. One of whom posted a screenshot of her ‘juicy pay’ for the previous month which came to a whole £75 claiming the reason she was defecting was that she couldn’t live on that amount. A far cry from the mega bucks they swear they earn eh?
They’ve already had some alleged payments from Thrive that they are screen shotting & these are worryingly generating some fresh prospects interest.
So, is JP starting to decline-hope so?
Are the Thrive products legal for sale in uk?!

Supplements don't do anything except give you expensive wee, according to my brother who is a 10 year- qualified doctor in nephrology (kidney medicine). They can be extremely harmful if taken without consulting a medical professional.

SSDGM · 16/01/2019 14:01

Just seen an FM bot call an anti-MLMer an “Arsewipe” for claiming its a pyramid scheme. Charming. 😂

Hunbot · 16/01/2019 14:35

Beef and peppermint cbd stew. What a yummy sounding combination

Hands up who wants to go to brokes for dinner

Paddy1234 · 16/01/2019 20:09

That's just too many pills
Well if anything I am sure that people will be as shocked as me looking at them
She is propping up the business by the amount she takes

The Anti MLM Coalition on FB are urgently looking for people badly impacted by MLM's to contact them (anonymously if need be) for a high profile radio show in the UK.

Really good to see more and more of the media getting interested in this god awful industry.

Galadali · 17/01/2019 12:17

So tempted to sign up for Yawn's sign language course now...😂

diamondeaglerangerovercastle · 17/01/2019 13:02

@Galadali I can already think of a few signs I could make with my hands for Yawn 😂

Sleaze has, amazingly, reached a new low. Using photos of bombed out Syria and a rant about the Rothschild baking conspiracy as his ‘why we do what we do’. I won’t even attempt to understand the link, vile little human that he is.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 17/01/2019 14:02

Wig and Sleaze are actual scum. I can't believe they have all of these people throwing money at their new ponzi, in the hope of endless riches (and a badly photoshopped certificate of a star or something).

BangingOn · 17/01/2019 14:10

They have so many followers who are drawn into every scam, they can’t all be making money. I don’t get it!

Whiterangey · 17/01/2019 19:43

Sooner or later one of their victims is going to get REALLY upset at them. I wouldn't love to be in their shoes when that happens.

Whiterangey · 17/01/2019 19:52

Article on their latest scam.

Various Huns are trying to put a positive spin the new facebook policy of removing people from groups who didn't accept the invitations.

I think secretly they are absolutley fuming.

Another nail in the MLM coffin hopefully.

SSDGM · 18/01/2019 11:22

How is it a GOOD thing to be still working at 2.28am? Unless I’m at an industry event and enjoying the free booze that can fuck right off.

Sleaze is absolutely disgusting. Vile.

Yes, there's always been a tension in Über's projected image between "I'm doing so well I can afford a nanny" and "Isn't it marvellous that I can fit my business around being a full time mum".

Smoke and mirrors, as ever.

I lurked on this post because I'm in an mim for my own reasons - I was bemused and how much hate there is on here, because my experience didn't meet with your tales. There's a small entry level cost, no sales pressure and lots of support. So I kind of thought that you were talking out of your arses tbh. But I stuck around because I thought that there must be a grain of truth in it somewhere.

Today I saw the dark side. Some mother I'm friends with has a sick child and there are two essential oil reps giving frankly dangerous advice and bigging each other up - they have no shame and I'm appalled.

Before I get flamed btw my mlm is a small part of my overall business, it's certainly not enough to be "THE" business.
