MLMs/ Network Marketing: Thread 45

Spongebobette · 05/12/2018 12:24

This is the 45th thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, Valentus, TS Life, Monat, Stella and Dot, Tropic, various slimroast/weight loss coffee MLMs and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs.
The reality is that 97% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

A while back I posted on one of these threads about ‘showing off’

I was brought up to believe that it’s not nice to show off. Or talk about money.
All of the bots show off all the time and talk about money.

I blame the American roots of these MLMs.

Uber was at FLHQ today. Another Saturday away from her kids, whipping up the newbies into a frenzy

Gotta keep the fresh blood coming in

Can you imagine posting your pay check on fb every month? Many people I graduated with probably earn 6 figures. None of them post it for everyone to see. (I earn nothing by the way!).

Spongebobette · 12/01/2019 21:30

It’s so distasteful

And posting photos of every element of your life, your home, your children...on a public page

My daughter is same age as yawn’s and Uber’s. She has told me not to put pics of her on social media without her permission.
I think yawn’s children look very uncomfortable in pics, as does her husband.
We had something happen last year which means I don’t have any identifying pics on social media. Even before my 12 yr old banned it. Mlm people are bonkers, think about bloody safety.

Oh Norma, I am so so sorry.

Uber would totally use the death as a excuse to contact you and recruit you, nothing is sacred to bots, no morals at all.

Norma27 · 12/01/2019 21:50

Thank you whiterangey. I know she totally would. They are just so despicable. We have mutual friends still, so she might know of it but still not know my married name.

Cindas · 13/01/2019 11:08

Just found out that Stella & Dot are pulling out of Europe... that worked well for them, then.

I actually liked their designs, but I would have liked them a lot more at a fifth of the price.

I don't know any current S&D Huns (to be fair, the ones I did know were a lot less Hun-y than other MLMmers), as those I did had already folded their businesses, but I've seen a live vid done by a YN Uber trying to assure her MiniHuns that they weren't next in the firing line. The look in her eyes suggested that they may well be...

Whiterangey · 13/01/2019 12:34

Mlm is the only 'business' where you get to manipulate people out of their time and money and then have them gushing on social media about how grateful they are that you are doing it to them.

It's the whole cult tactics.

Spongebobette · 13/01/2019 16:04

Ohgodohgodohgod

On Yawn’s page there’s a video of a woman from Scotland who is 6 months pregnant and had travelled all the way to FL HQ yesterday

She stood up at the front and said that she’s at Supervisor level and all the profit from her business is going towards paying off debt

I feel RAGE at this, I am sure she will be conflating retail profit with actual profit and j really hope she had someone who can advise her to keep records of all her expenditure (eg travelling hundreds of miles)

Broke has found himself a new lady ..

Whiterangey · 13/01/2019 18:15

He has three children who he can't see at the moment and is only busy out of a relationship.

He should be working on getting to see those kids, changing what needs to be changed as well as getting a proper job to pay money to their mum. Instead he's straight into another relationship. Those kids need him to pull himself together.

diamondeaglerangerovercastle · 13/01/2019 19:21

Yawn claiming to be scared of starting a sign language course. All for the gee-ups from her underlyings of course.

Bet she lasts about three weeks before throwing in the towel. Just like her networking mummies gig that mysteriously disappeared!

Spongebobette · 13/01/2019 19:39

She won’t be the centre of attention that everyone worships, I don’t think she’ll be able to cope!

OP posts:
Jonsey32 · 13/01/2019 20:16

She’s under the illusion that the course will allow her to tap into the deaf market.
It’s so complex that she won’t be able to get past saying how are you and finger spelling her name.
I’ll lay money on that.
(Married to a profoundly deaf man for 10’years , I would say I was very advanced at signing but still far from being qualified to interpret for a living or conduct business meetings!)

Whiterangey · 13/01/2019 22:07

I agree, one of my friends has a deaf sister. My friend is nowhere near an expert despite having a deaf sister for over 40 years. It takes dedication and a lot of effort to learn sign language and a lot of time.

Yawn won't last more than a couple of months, if that. I can, well could, sign each letter because I learned that in primary school. I believe a child in my school may have been deaf although they weren't in my year so they taught us.

My friend with the deaf sister taught me all the swear words.

Spongebobette · 13/01/2019 22:19

I have a friend who is a sign language interpreter
It’s really hard to learn

Wig and Sleaze have brushed recyclebot under the carpet and thrilling followers with fxtrading corporation - another bot offering 1 to 2.5% a day. Why do their Muppet followers fall for their bs and overlook the multiple failures they've been dragged through.

BangingOn · 13/01/2019 22:50

#powercouple

Whiterangey · 13/01/2019 23:07

They are all chasing their losses. Sooner or later one of these schemes just had to pay out big time. One of the people under them has been in at least 4 different ponzis and must have lost thousands. She was holding on to hope that USI Tech would pay out long after most had given up.

SnoogyWoo · 13/01/2019 23:23

What are all the star ratings??

Whiterangey · 13/01/2019 23:39

Likely related to the amount of money they have put into the scheme and the number of victims they have talked into joining.

Tw1nsetAndPearls · 14/01/2019 01:20

Bradford bot is back and giving up MLM apparently

SSDGM · 14/01/2019 07:04

Lipbot is still MIA and Porsche, her fiancé, has been AWOL since 26th Nov. It’s safe to say they are well out of MLM. I wonder if their three day wedding extravaganza is still on?

I can’t help thinking Broke’s New squeeze is probably a good solution for his small issue of being homeless and having zero actual income to get himself a flat.

I was reminded that back at the end of 2018 Wig’s daughter had joined one of her Ponzis with £500 and within days was said to have £3600. I wonder what happened there? (Spoiler: I know what happened there).

Glad to see Bradford has seen the light too. I think it was inevitable after her instant coffee café idea didn’t exactly get off the ground.

I do wonder if Yawn knows that most people are aware that she’s absolutely skint?
