MLMs/ Network Marketing: Thread 45

Spongebobette · 05/12/2018 12:24

This is the 45th thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, Valentus, TS Life, Monat, Stella and Dot, Tropic, various slimroast/weight loss coffee MLMs and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs.
The reality is that 97% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

Why do the top bots (and some of the middle ones) set up as ltd companies? Is it because they know it may all go tits up and want to avoid personal bankruptcy? Or because it sounds more impressive to recruits? Or are there other benefits?

9dartfinish2nd · 27/12/2018 16:26

There are far more liabilities involved in being a Sole Trader, should things go pear shaped any business debts become your debts and your own personal assets are not protected as a result.

BangingOn · 27/12/2018 17:49

@Willowsauntie yes I think it must have been. I’ve not followed her closely until this year but she always seemed to push the family friendly and fitness aspect over the luxury lifestyle and riches.

Whiterangey · 27/12/2018 19:28

However, if you owe a director's loan to your Ltd company and your company goes tits up, you are liable for what you owe to the company if the company owes money to HRMC which I've noticed happens a lot with bots as they take loans from the company for tax purposes.

BSintolerant · 27/12/2018 23:09

Sponge I too saw Yawn's irresistible offer of coaching and a "metaphoric handhold" for five lucky victims. If I were fortunate enough to experience such a privilege I'd be counting my fingers afterwards, but I'd spare her this one 🖕because I'm such a thoughtful creature.

Jonsey32 · 28/12/2018 12:33

Oh dear god. She’s planning to exploit deaf people now.
Words just fail me.

Norma27 · 28/12/2018 12:38

Jonsey I was just about to come on and say that.
She really is a cruel piece of work. The sooner forever lying collapses the better.

ElektraLOL · 28/12/2018 12:52

I had a message from Roomie asking if I want to buy any FLP in the next order., I don't even live near her and haven't ordered from before 🤷🏻‍♀️

SnoogyWoo · 28/12/2018 13:19

There is only the deaf left...

Whiterangey · 28/12/2018 13:43

If she does bother finding a tutor she won't stick at it. She just wanted to point out that she is best than everyone else as she is going to learn sign language.

I noticed she wanted a vacuum cleaner in the sales, which is odd as she was asking for advice on which support expensive one to buy months ago that she was going to buy that afternoon.

BSintolerant · 28/12/2018 17:27

I'll communicate with her in sign language using one or two fingers.

Spongebobette · 28/12/2018 17:57

It’s just another place to find new people to prospect.

spanfan · 28/12/2018 18:09

My mum was a teacher of the deaf and always told us how difficult it is. To become proficient would take years (just like any new language really) and as someone who likes instant gratification I'll give her 3 weeks.

Jonsey32 · 28/12/2018 18:48

I was married to a profoundly deaf man. I was with him 11 years. He communicated soley with BSL. I was very good at it but when I went to get some qualifications in it, it was incredibly difficult. It’s actually a language in its own right and has its own structure. She won’t stick at it and she will struggle beyond being able to make polite conversation like how are you, what’s your name etc....

Jonsey32 · 28/12/2018 18:59

She thinks she’ll be able to coach her deaf team
Over FaceTime in BSL. She’s seriously unrealistic. She won’t be learning anything complex on an “introduction to sign language course”

Spongebobette · 28/12/2018 19:10

You’d learn the alphabet and some greetings on an introductory course, then people who are serious move on to Level 1.

cozietoesie · 28/12/2018 19:23

What does she actually need to say, though?

Spongebobette · 28/12/2018 19:43

‘Amazing business opportunity’
‘Full time wage for part time work’
‘Aloe vera’
‘Sack the boss’

OP posts:
BSintolerant · 28/12/2018 20:13

"Aloe vera cures deafness!"

Hunbot · 28/12/2018 20:21

Surely she doesn't need to say anything. Draw a pic of a pyramid. Put an x on the bottom and point at the victim, sorry mean recruit and put another x near the top and point to herself and draw an arrow pointing from bottom to top. Then show pic of aloe shits. All you need to know about forever living

Hunbot · 28/12/2018 20:23

Aloe shite not aloe shits. Typo but am sure the c9 gives you the aloe shits

ArbunneHun · 29/12/2018 09:45

Wow wow wow huns! Eeeeeek! Wig is already #smashingit in the new Ponzi scam investment opportunity! And no mention being made of any of the previous collapsed ponzis that left hundreds of people out of pocket brilliant investment opportunities that set them up with passive income streams for life and allowed them to retire.

She really is an amazing leader huns!

Of course you got paid, Brokebot. Last month you spent £100’s on CBD skincare crap for your girlfriend who swiftly chucked you out a couple of weeks later. It’s called commission. It’s what actual salespeople get after a sale.

Norma27 · 29/12/2018 14:40

For someone who was going to hardly be on social media between Christmas and new year, yawn is spending an awful lot of time posting on social media!
