Anti MLM/ Network marketing thread NUMBER 43!!

Spongebobette · 29/09/2018 18:17

This is the 43rd thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, TS Life, and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs
Over 90% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

As part of my J.O.B, I train people to act as spokespeople. I teach them about body language, constructing an argument, delivering a speech or presentation, how to hold their own in a board meeting, how to handle an interview on television, how to face an interrogation on the Today Programme... you don’t learn to be a ‘speaker’ from someone whose experience encompasses a few Facebook lives and a meeting of bots in a Travelodge somewhere.

Sod off, Roomie.

9dartfinish2nd · 12/10/2018 09:42

I have no affiliation to Nu Skin but today having added up my various salaries over the years in my proper job i'm declaring myself in the Million Dollar Circle. I now expect lots of eeeks!! and general fawning over me each time I post because i'm such an ispiration who changes peoples lives. Grin

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 12/10/2018 10:25

It doesn't look like Yawn has hit any of the top 20's this month. BFF is number one global manager and even Roomie has made it into the biggest non-manager business building top 10. Yawn must be bricking it.

user1484830599 · 12/10/2018 11:00

Did yawn and Roomie fall out?

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 12/10/2018 13:05

Up until Dallas, when they shared a room, Roomie was the favoured one ( you've probably noted how Yawn always has a favourite for a while who is then usurped by the next "best" bot...always responding to FB posts, love bombing etc).

Anyway Roomie was a bit of a loose cannon in Dallas and posted some very ill -advised , unflattering photos of Yawn. It was almost as if she was doing it deliberately because anyone with half a brain could see that Yawn was not going to be happy .

Anyway, suddenly Roomie was no longer shown or tagged in Yawn's posts, despite being her guest on the trip and sharing a room and doesn't appear to have any FB interaction any more either.

cozietoesie · 12/10/2018 13:07

So. Hero to zero??

Norma27 · 12/10/2018 13:38

How funny would it be if yawn and roomie were booked to motivational speakers/ business trainers at some event. For one, they would talk utter crap.
Secondly, the atmosphere between them would be amazing to see.

I wonder what roomie’s rates are. Surely can’t be more than 10p an hour?

DownThePan · 12/10/2018 14:41

@Norma27 I presumed she does her motivational talks for free. You think she charges?! Cripes!

cozietoesie · 12/10/2018 15:21

When did someone in an MLM ever turn down the opportunity to make a buck or three?

Norma27 · 12/10/2018 15:46

I can’t imagine she has anything to say worth paying for. But can’t imagine she does anything for free!

user1484830599 · 12/10/2018 16:06

Thank you @OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny for filling me in! Sounds brilliant!

DownThePan · 12/10/2018 16:45

Surely you can't charge for motivational speeches without having some videos to show your worth? I want to see Roomie's motivational guff before I pay up!

cozietoesie · 12/10/2018 17:13

Of course you can. Grin

BSintolerant · 12/10/2018 17:18

Indeed - fake it 'til you make it.

The only thing Roomie would motivate me to do is yawn.

I've just realised how wrong that sounds! Grin

Spongebobette · 12/10/2018 17:48

I see that FBOs are being encouraged to leave copies of Aloe Life magazine around (with their contact details written in tonthe blank box on the last page).
Does anyone know how much these magazines cost?
@Doratheexplorer?

Quite a lot - FLP UK makes £500k a year from ‘literature’...Grin

cozietoesie · 12/10/2018 19:57

For shame, BS. Wink

Whiterangey · 12/10/2018 20:16

The magazines cost a lot more than it costs FLP to produce them, of that i'm sure.

Hang on, what happened in Dallas?

Electrascoffee · 13/10/2018 07:37

Sorry until reading this thread I had absolutely no idea that these people don't pay any tax!!!! So they are not even benefiting the economy in any way!

You only pay tax on profit so yeah chances are they don't pay much tax

ArbunneHun · 13/10/2018 09:54

FLP UK contributed a massive £200k in taxes to the UK economy last year...
