MLM Bot Watch 38 - Large cheques are not forever

Whiterangey · 27/04/2018 21:00

I think the members of the Anti-MLM Coalition in the UK deserves to be recognised for the reduced cheques that have been received by the Forever Living bots in the UK.

They have worked tirelessly to spread the Anti-MLM message which seemed like a pointless battle when they started.

Yet here we are, the message is getting out there, and people are beginning to get the message.

People are listening. Ex-bots are telling their stories and encouraging others to leave or not to join MLM's.

You are all awesome and have worked so hard, you deserve so much respect for helping so many people.

Dontcha know, Norfolk is danger territory!

Twentytwentyhindsight · 04/05/2018 17:13

I do wonder how much of this early hyperactivity and drawing attention to it is also about attempting to regain the favours of her upline.

Did Uber not make a pointed remark after the cheque débâcle along the lines of it being about hard work and constantly bringing people in?

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 04/05/2018 17:23

After Roomie's attempts to destroy Yawn's image in Dallas I'm now reading her posts differently.

For example:

"Don't sit and wish you didn't have to go back to work after the Bank Holiday weekend"

Is that a dig at someone who isn't even having a bank holiday weekend because they're working by driving to Norfolk?

Twentytwentyhindsight · 04/05/2018 17:31

Love Roomie's goal board with the Dallas qualifier name tag in pride of place. Doesn't say she was actually the "+1" for a real (but chequeless) qualifier.

She has taught you well, grasshopper...

ArbunneHun · 04/05/2018 17:39

Is anyone STILL selling Valentus? As far as I can tell, the last of Salon’s inner circle has just announced that she’s “taking a break”.

But never fear! She can enjoy her time out and she’ll get all the benefits of her residual income and her team will continue to grow!

Er... yeah hun. We’ve seen what happens when you step off the MLM treadmill. Enjoy that residual, babes...

BSintolerant · 04/05/2018 18:12

moose Grin

Norfolk's on red alert since Yawn rocked up in her botmobile.

Crowd · 04/05/2018 18:57

Roomie's goal board made me cackle in hysterical laughter! Yeah, let's see that £10k per month stable income in 2 years time.

Hun.

entrepeneur · 04/05/2018 19:39

That's more of an In Your Dreams board than an Achievable Goal Board

Whiterangey · 04/05/2018 20:13

@ArbunneHun one of the bots who went on the trip to wherever it was when Salon hired that whatever car is still flogging it.

She is doing exceptionally well, an hour ago she announce that it is 4 figure Friday.

As of yesterday she was number 3 worldwide in Valentus!

There is another one, no surname on her facebook profile bot. She's smashing it as well.

Porsche bot looks like she has moved on to coaching.

Porsche bot also has a time jump thing from 3 years ago when she got her first car and at that time she said that all those who doubted she would get the car and get it insured were wrong.

It's a totally different world. If someone on my facebook says they are getting a new car it would never occur to me that they wouldn't get that car as normal people will just order a new car without any fuss.

Jonsey32 · 04/05/2018 20:45

So what is salon up to now? Has she left valentus?

Twentytwentyhindsight · 04/05/2018 20:51

Nothing official, but salon still gets tagged in quite a few of the V sister posts.

She's lurking, biding her time, presumably until trading standard heat is off...

Whiterangey · 04/05/2018 21:14

It seems that Roomie Bot wants to go visit a sloth sanctuary in Costa Rica in 2020, paid for by an income of 3-5k per month.

OP posts:
Whiterangey · 04/05/2018 21:21

Salon isn't stupid, although she did underestimate the power of a group of pissed off anti-MLMers. Someone must have gotten trading standards involved, they don't and haven't got the manpower to investigate everything, so someone must have laid it all out for them. No idea who, but whoever it is I salute them. I know ex Barn Bot didn't sleep for weeks while she was investigating so she helped a lot I imagine.

Valentus was a money spinner, at the time it was the first big weight loss coffee MLM to hit the UK. Salon used that to her advantage and made an absolute killing. As well as the little trading standards issue, other coffee MLM's started to creep in. I just can't see her carrying on with Valentus big time.

I imagine at the moment she may be doing the bare minimum to keep getting the small amount of money from her downline who are still in, but when she comes back it will be with something else I imagine.

If she comes back, it depends what trading standards have found, and/or HRMC if they have investigated. She could even go to jail.

God the goal boards with the magic wishes are so cringe aren't they! They're like children's letters to Santa.

Whiterangey · 04/05/2018 21:45

Roomie also wants to be a sapphire manager by may 2020 with a secure income of £10k a month.

Doable, especially the secure part.

What do you have to do to become a sapphire manager?

Bovneydazzlers · 04/05/2018 21:47

I love a bit of companies house on a Friday night!Grin
So Uber, Castle and Yawn allhave switched to the same accounting firm for their accounts. I presume, but just guessing, that this is for tax planning reasons and for cash reasons. Their accounts are similar in that they have all:
1)Taken cash out of business in their directors accounts (so not taxed like a wage)
2) put big provisions in accounts ‘for future rewards to employees’ to bring profit down to low/to a loss. This means that they won’t have to pay much/any tax on company profits for that year, only on any salaries (and dividends where paid)

Note they are not full accounts due to the size so they don’t show a p&l account so can only make guesses. They may have paid themselves £1m and their company ‘smashing it’...possibly (Im not sure but I think that would have to show as a relatedness party disclosure if so though)

As accounts aren’t filed until 6month+ after the accounting period ends, they will have a good idea of what the new years profits are looking like- I am guessing given the cheques/no cheques of this year they may be expecting losses. So they can release the provisions against these losses to make it into a gain, so little tax is paid overall over the 2 years. They will want to pay out some of the provision into bonus rather than releasing it all though, as they will need to pay back their directors current accounts which are currently overdrawn, Andy they obviously also need to fund their lifestyles so will need more cash from the business.

So big message is...even at the very top where their is boasts of Monopoly money and unlimited wealth... don’t assume that big cheque finds its way to the bottom line profit.

Bovneydazzlers · 04/05/2018 22:08

Im not saying that the accounts are an inaccurate picture by the way, they look perfectly legit (and also it’s worth saying the aim of the company won’t be to build up shareholders’ funds, it’s just a distribution method of cash in a tax efficient way), I guess my point is that even the top bots accounts don’t make me jealous that I’m not at the top of the triangle!

Whiterangey · 04/05/2018 22:21

Talk to me like i'm 5.

If they take cash out of the business and put it into their directors accounts and it sits there and doesn't get paid back into the business, what happens tax wise to that money when they go broke?

Can they spend what is in the directors account? Is the amount stated actually in the account or could it all be gone but still listed as in the directors account?

The provision for reward to employee, how does that work when there are no employee's? Does that money actual exist?

I can't believe that Yawn made all those amounts added together, she would be spending a lot more money, it's been quite obvious the past year that money has been VERY tight. They planned to have an extension built last spring, i'm guessing after she received her cheque, which was a third of what it was the year before. The extension never happened and an extension is very easily affordable for someone on the money listed there. It would be like a normal person heading down to go outdoors and buying a tent.

She even posted a photo a couple of weeks ago asking advice on a vacuum cleaner which was around the £200. The photos were of the pages the cleaners were on in the argos catalogue, she was in an argos store because the pages were covered in plastic. She then cleaned the whole of her house, her vacuum cleaner was visible in the photos, there was not a new one.

Bonney and White

Always bear in mind that they couldn't care less what people think about accounts - they're just submitted as a legal obligation.

cozietoesie · 04/05/2018 23:07

Sorry. Bovney. (Autocorrect flexing its muscles.)

NatashaShingles · 05/05/2018 00:23

Hello haters!
What have I missed?

  • wig and sleeze are still wiggy and sleezy
  • salon is still full of shit
  • broke is still racking up companies like katie price racks up husbands
  • and yawn didnt get a cheque.

I think I'm up to date 😂

Whiterangey · 05/05/2018 02:05

The Norfolk business launch went well!

There were 4 people there as well as new bot and Yawn.

New bot obviously needs products to show people so they will buy them and had them all laid out on a table.

I'm not sure of prices but i'm guessing everything is at least 5 times the price of what you would pay for the equivalent in Holland and Barratt for the 'health' stuff, and Superdrug for the skin care shit. Also 5 times the price of what you would pay in Tesco for soaps, shampoos, creams, lip balms, and whatever else.

She has the following on the table that I can see:

Aloe berry nectar 21.62
Forever freedom 29.54
Aloe bits'n peaches 23.59
Aloe vera gel 21.62
1 huge bottle of hand soap 14.40
1 lip balm 2.99
1 hand sanitiser 3.53
1 shampoo 19.12
1 conditioner 17.65
FAB - Forever active boost 31.75
1 pot of bee pollen pills 13.07
1 Hydrating cleanser 24.76
1 day lotion 34.19
1 eye cream 17.21
1 infinite restoring cream 54.68
1 infinite firming serum 49.03
Deodorant 6.31
Nourishing serum 34.69
lotion 12.73
gelly 12.73
Heat lotion 12.73
proplis ceam 15.56
Bar of soap 5.62
Moisturising lotion 12.73
Aloe scrub 13.44
Marine mask 19.09
2 x Aloe vetinary formula 15.40 each
probiotic 25.67
C9 108.95
Toothgel 5.98

The total of the products I can see on that table is £695.78

Obviously she would have bought the business in a box which comes in just under the £200 mark to keep it legal. Here are the box contents:

Forever Aloe Vera Gel x 1
Forever Freedom x 1
Forever Aloe Berry Nectar x 1
Forever Bright Toothgel x 1
Aloe Ever-Shield Deodorant x 1
Aloe Propolis Creme x 1
Aloe Vera Gelly x 1
Aloe Lips x 1
Forever Lite Ultra – Vanilla x 1
Aloe-Jojoba Shampoo x 1
Aloe-Jojoba Conditioning Rinse x 1
Forever Hand Sanitizer x 1
Aloe Moisturizing Lotion x 1
Forever Bee Pollen x 1
Avocado Face & Body Soap x 1
Forever Active Probiotic x 1
Forever Aloe Scrub x 1
Aloe Hand Soap x 1
Aloe Heat Lotion x 1

So some of the stuff on the table would have been in her business in a box, but most of it she has bought by the looks of it.

She has had her box since at least the 27th March and judging by that photo has sold absolutely nothing from it.

She has booked places on various fetes for the summer, i'm sure we've all been to summer fetes and have all seen the MLM tables being avoided like the plague. Who wants to be spending serious money on complete shite when you have given your child a fiver to do whatever they want with it.

It's all very sad watching it unfold. She truly believes she will be able to make a living from this. She's spent £200 on the box, then however much more on the other stuff. She's obviously been using it, you can see the shampoo and conditioner have been used, so she can't sell the shit she has used.

That is some very expensive samples right there.

I'd never looked in to the costs before, I am utterly utterly gobsmacked.

£24.76 for a hydrating cleanser? Erm, nope.

Especially as i've never heard anyone outside of Forever Living rave about the products.

Directors Loan Account, it’s not a bank account, it’s just the company record that they have a debtor (the director). Whether the director has actually got this money in their bank account or not is not known or recorded on the companies record.

Tax implications are a little complicated which is why most companies try and avoid them, but to the best of my knowledge...

If the director never repaid the company, then they would have to treat it as income and declare it on their self assessment form.

In the period between having an overdrawn loan account and repaying it, the director may pay interest on the loan, if they are not charged interest then they are taxed at the government rates of interest as a benefit in kind.

The company will pay corporation tax on the total value of the overdrawn loan account, although they can reclaim this once it is repaid.

When it talks about ‘provision for reward to employees’, I’d expect the only employee is the director (and spouse possibly in the case of husband/wife teams).

I don’t think the Norfolk bot is going to make a penny in profit in her forever living journey, it’s horrible to see. Potentially some of the products were brought over from Yawn, but if not thats a hell of an investment to show a few friends (who will hope to get away with buying a lip balm).

I also feel so sorry for the hoard (scam) of bots currently having to persuade their friends to do ‘trials’ of the old aloe gel to get rid of their, now worthless, stockpile.
