I've started this the absence of anyone else starting a thread on the subject and since the Chat thread will disappear in a month. Hope you think it's in the right place.

I'm still dithering which is annoying me. I've made a new e-mail - hope to get bank account this week. I keep looking at the different websites like Bonus Bagging and Profit Accumulator etc and can't decide between them. Put off by what Tawny said about Profit Maximiser and don't trust myself to do it without help so going for Bonus Bagging, i think.

Gutted I can't do the inplay, I had a run of wins into bookies, so Betfair is sadly depleted.

Bree85 · 17/06/2016 08:32

@mollyredskirts. I hate when that happens! Are you not using smarkets.com yet instead of betfair?

Swhitey123 · 21/06/2016 09:18

yesbets is a very good service, they track all bets and balances with the click of a button, so no spreadsheets to fill out.. Saves me so much time. I reckon I get about 40% more bets on now.

Quiff82 · 21/06/2016 10:28

Just taken a look at yesbets, looks interesting, can I get this straight.. So they track your bets and bookie balances? How do they do that, do they have access to your accounts? I have to say I find it quite tiring filling out my spreadsheet every time I make a bet, it's the one aspect I find pretty laborious.

Swhitey123 · 21/06/2016 15:01

Quiff, no they don't have access to any accounts, they just track and store the data as you place the bets, it's very clever and a great timesaver.. It also personalises every bet based on your exchange balance so it means less mistakes.

GardeningWithDynamite · 28/06/2016 20:11

Ok - still working my way (slowly) through the intro offers. I've got a "5 free spins" casino offer. I'm not really sure what to do with it. Is there a generic guide somewhere?

Bree85 · 29/06/2016 11:10

@gardeningwithdynamite - You just spin and hope you win. If you dont win, move on to the next offer. If you do win, you sometimes have to over come WR (Wagering requirements) to be able to withdraw your winnings.

If this is the case in their terms and conditions, then you just want to spin with the maximum amount of lines and lowest coin value until you either bust out or over come the WR to be able to withdraw :)

GardeningWithDynamite · 29/06/2016 16:14

Thanks Bree85 - I think I've missed that particular offer but they seem to keep coming up. I'll give it a go next time.

I seem to be making very very slow progress, but at least it's money I wouldn't have otherwise. I think signing up to new websites takes quite a bit of time.

I've had a go at doing a couple of offers where I've found my own bets (via an automatcher thing and a calculator to work out how much to lay). I think they went ok.

When I've finished the Bonus Bagging I don't know whether to move on to something like yesbets or bankofbets (seems to be free and list a few offers) or go with Profit maximiser or similar. I've had an offer for 9 profit maximiser type tools (permanent access) for £700 plus VAT but I don't think I can justify that kind of outlay.

Botofspother · 29/06/2016 23:08

Hi fellow betters! I was wondering if anyone could explain in simple terms how the accas work. Can you make much money from them? I have been doing new offers and reloads and I'm just starting to dip my toe into slots. I feel like I need to investigate all the other avenues of making money doing this. Dutching and the like seems way too complex at the moment so I'm hoping accas aren't too brain boggling!

Bree85 · 30/06/2016 10:14

www.profitmaximiser.org.uk are really good. I've just pmed you about this deal as I'd be interested to know more.

I'd pick 1 or 2 from www.comparematchedbetting.co.uk and go from there.

Quiff82 · 02/07/2016 10:50

Thanks for the heads up Swhitey, I took the plunge and so far am really impressed with Yesbets, the layout and reload sections are pretty good, but same offers as I was getting before if I’m honest, but there bet tracking and balances stuff is the real bit worth paying for, I’ve now ditched my spreadhseet and can’t say I miss having to fill out all that stuff every time I make a bet. Over £350 up already woop woop. Great time saver. Thanks for the recommendation

frazzled74 · 02/07/2016 20:14

How do you get so many free bets? I've had all the introductory free bets at the well known bookmakers( accounts opened for various world cups, horse races etc)? I've just signed up to bet victor and have one paid and 2 free bets on Germany which I have layed on bet fair. This should make me £8 , but then how do I move forward?

Bree85 · 05/07/2016 16:06

@frazzled74 - Are you doing casino and bingo offers yet? Also, much horse racing?

frazzled74 · 07/07/2016 00:57

Hi Bree, No , I've only ever paid a bet, got one free then left.

MerricatsHouse · 07/07/2016 09:02

Can anyone explain to me how the bingo / casino aspects work? I just started looking at the betting side this week and think I have a handle on the logic (waiting for the outcome of my first laid off bet today), but would like to know how the other ones work. Also, if you have an account on the betting side with one bookies does that mean you can't take up offers on the bingo side as you already have an account? Thanks!

monkeywithacowface · 06/08/2016 22:54

Just bumping this up as I've just started doing matched betting in the last 3 days. Am going through the sign up offers on Savethestudent and following their guide. I'm a bit slow but hoping to make more money in a speedier time frame as I gain confidence.

I don't know whether to just work my way through the free bet sign up offers for now or to start dipping into some of the other offers I've been getting through by email. Must admit some of the terms and conditions are a bit confusing for the casino stuff maybe need to get my head around it one step at a time!

locketelli · 09/08/2016 22:43

I have been matched betting now for around 9 months and have had nothing but success with this system. I started out trying to find the bets by myself but this was taking me way to much and time and was proving costly due to mistakes.
After doing my research into matched betting, I finally took the plunge and signed up an account with profit accumulator which is the best thing I ever did.
The membership will cost you £22.99 each month but in all honesty its worth it due to the time it saves not to mention the access you will gain to seasoned pros that train all of their members.
Check out my review about matched betting here.

MaybeDoctor · 23/08/2016 09:34

Can anyone explain accumulators to me please?

Still going quite well with 'save the student'. I only do it a little but generally make £5 - £20 each time.

monkeyfacegrace · 25/08/2016 20:42

No, in a word Grin

I still don't understand accumulators. I've tried, I really have, but I must just be thick.

I'm literally just plugging away at the free bets that are offered around. I can still easily make £100 a week, so never going to be rich, but pays for my general spends monthly.

Made a massive cock up on a recent tennis bet and lost money which was gutting, but still ££££ in the bank since the very beginning.

I'm just never going to 'get' accas or bingo/casino stuff.

blueman44 · 29/10/2016 16:19

Hi All,

Just found this thread and thought you might want to think about some of the free alternatives for matched betting. If you google free matched betting you will find quite a few. Personally I signed up with PA to begin with but they had a lot of software issues (seemed to be a dispute with another company) so I looked around.

I now use easy-matched-betting.co.uk as they are 100% free, have all the offers including reloads and have step by step guides.

Free is good in my book.

Hope this helps.

blueman44 · 29/10/2016 16:27

@monkeyfacegrace

Could not work out how to quote a post so hopefully you find this.

The casino and bingo offers are definitely risk involved v no risk but some of them can be very profitable. There are quite a few which are actually risk free but the rollover requirements are big (35x) which means that you are unlikely to make any profit but you also have not lost anything.

Again personally I have made a profit on a few and not on others. My favourite currently is Casumo as you can use a loophole with Super Monopoly money to side step the wagering. Not sure if easy-matched-betting.co.uk have it on their site but I remember there were some guides to slots/casino's you can check out. Otherwise google the loophole.

Oh, one more thing on casino/slot offers. Ladbrokes and others do a lot of wager x amount and get a free bet every week. If you use slots like Wild Gambler, Blood Suckers or similar high RTP slots as well as Black Jack you nearly always end up with a profit once the free bet plays out.

Hope this helps.

blueman44 · 29/10/2016 16:30

@MaybeDoctor

Accumulators can be tricky. Some of the paid sites have software to help and there are spreadsheets around for free which help A LOT. If you start doing these I would suggest you always go for the profit lock-in method as then it is not gambling and risk free.

Hope this helps.

Hello, just wondering if anyone had any advice. I've read through this thread, the savethestudent page and had a look on MSE, and was thinking I would give this a go.

How much do people set aside to get started, and am I right in thinking that football would be easier to get my head around than horse betting?

Many thanks
