Anyone want to join a book swap club?

All the existing clubs seem to be full so a couple of us would like to start a new one. I'm happy to coordinate if no one else wants to.

I'm just past the no sleep newborn stage with dd and am looking for some inspiration to get reading again :-)

Please post if you are interested and we can start a list.

Sort of feel we shouldn't post on until we have established who is taking part properly, we don't want to lose our books. Can everyone in our group post on this thread to recommit? It must be so disappointing for those who have no book. If the person you've already sent to has not acknowledged it, I wouldn't send any more until I've heard something. That's the situation I'm in, so I'd like to know it's received/wanted before I send on any more.

My book has turned up - Vera is still alive and kicking!! I'm still in, committed and ready to post the first book on.

Still here, committed and thinking we should wait til the books have arrived at all their destinations so everyone has got a book, and say they have to posted on by 5th December? That at gives all the late arrivals time to read their books?

Not sure if anyone is still looking at the thread? I htink the idea of 5th December for posting to give everyone time is good. I havent been on here for a bit as things have changed at work and I'm much busier (plus dd has decided to stop sleeping thorough - grrrrr). Does someone else want to have the list of who is posting to who so that if I can't get on for a bit the system won't collapse?

I'll have it if u want...seems to be just me & u on here at the moment! Lol.
Finished my boom and it was ace, so I'm ready to post on mine...

P.s. Did we ever get a name? Im thinking "The Abandoned Library"!?

I'm a bit worried as I pm'd the mnetter I posted my book to and she hasn't replied or been back on this thread. Looks like I've lost my book which is very disappointing. Wondered if you could check if she posted a book of hers on to someone originally, AlwaysRocking? Def not posting another one unless I hear from her. Was really quite excited bout this club, what a shame it's not working the way we hoped.

hi, i agree that people who are still interested should post here again. it was a good idea but really hasnt seemed to have worked. maybe we shouldnt post anymore books out until we know for sure who is definitely in. as someone said a shame to lose a well loved book.

of maybe those who are keen could exchange details amongst themselves?
