Partial molar pregnancy

Found out at my scan on Monday baby has no heartbeat and it is a partial molar pregnancy so they booked me for surgical management yesterday morning and now have to have my hcg monitored on a weekly/fortnight basis till it drops to below 5 (currently 160000 even though I'm meant to be 8 weeks and baby stopped growing at 6 weeks) as it can turn cancerous. Has anyone had this before and shed some light into what I'm in for.

@Noideawhatshappening i really hope that it all works out for us & this never happens to us again. I think naturally i always just think the worse.

Absolutely gutted. Levels gone from 3950 to 10500. Off to Charing Cross next week x

@Figtree11 i go in Tuesday for possibly 6 days. Usual bloods and a scan. Maybe another D&C but most likely chemo will start. I hate being away from home and I am too far away for visitors too. I need to start packing today which I hate. The logistics of this is a nightmare. I am supposed to start a new job in a few weeks too x
