We went in for what we thought would be our 7 week scan on Sunday, and found an empty sac
We've been offered rescan for next Thursday and we will discuss options

Ideally I want to naturally miscarry but I'm flying out on a 2 week holiday April so it will be "week12"

Also this is emotionally and physically awful

I just wanted to ask those who have had anembryonic pregnancy before, if you naturally emptied, what week did it happen?

Also should I go medical or surgical if not?

Just go easy on yourself. It took us about 6 months to concieve again. It felt an age.
I can remember in that 6 months, thinking that everywhere we went, we were faced with prams…just everywhere.

Hope you had a good rest last night. I'm feeling OK but had terrible tummy ache this morning, I think from the cocodomol making me a bit constipated. Keep feeling a bit emotional randomly as well, but I'm sure that will get better. How are you today?

I totally agree. It really helps to chat to people going through the same experience.
Im ok, still cramping but I just wish things would hurry up. Weirdly my ovaries seem to be aching a lot similar to ovulation pains.
Speaking of, I really hope this being fertile straight after miscarriage is true!

How are you feeling now?

Are you booked in for any type of management or are you just planning on going naturally?

I'm feeling OK. Bit emotional and light headed but I'm alright.

The clinic sent a referral to the hospital so I think the hospital will get in touch next week to book an appointment. Hoping won’t need that appointment but shall see.
ironically I also have an appointment next week for ivf funding.

The emotions are no joke. I’m very emotional at the moment.

Is that on the NHS?

I keep crying at random things that wouldn't usually make me cry. I think it must be the hormones.

And yeah about being more fertile, I read the other day 60% of people are pregnant again 4 months after a miscarriage and if you're pregnant within 6 months of a miscarriage then you're less likely to miscarry again. Hoping this is what happens but also at the same time trying not to put too much pressure on it because if that doesn't happen I'll be so upset.

@Blossomofhope I hope you don't need that appointment too, hope it all happens soon

I'm good, definitely agree I feel so emotional everything is setting me off today. I also feel quite bloated and I still have sore boobs so I guess I'm waiting for them to go or maybe it'll go after my next period

I also have left ovary pain, I. And off, wonder what it is!

I just need good sleep

Mother's day tomorrow, I feel it's going to be difficult for me, but the next one will be different for us all.

@UrsulaSings123 how bad is the constipation/tummy ache?

Do you need the cocodamol? Maybe take ibuprofen instead of you can and also you can have some senna or lactulose(,but this can take 2 days to work)
I'm in pain tonight not bad though but I think that's all the drugs/Anastasia completely wearing off.

i know what you mean but I’ll be upset whether I hope or not so I’d rather just be hopeful.

I feel like things are quite slow. It’s been four days since the second. Fingers crossed it’ll happen today.

@Pinktree87 No I don't think I need the cocodomol anymore. I had been taking it every day since 10 days ago when I first started getting bad pains and I think I may be having some kind of withdrawal because I feel so under the weather with tummy pain, aching muscles, headache and dizziness. Either that or I have an infection or something. Will see how I go.

How are you feeling today? Hope you had a good sleep last night.

@Blossomofhope yes that's true about just being hopeful anyway. Hope you're not struggling too much with pain or anything.

@Pinktree87 @UrsulaSings123 well “good” news .. I think I’ve passed most of it today. I suspect there’s more to pass this evening but hopefully can start a new week sort of putting this behind me. I’m so eager to start trying again - I don’t even know if that’s normal but it’s how I feel.

@Pinktree87 Really hope you don’t have an infection. Any chance it could partly be the stress of it all? It’s so much to take.

I think this whole process form start to finish is a rollercoaster so there isn't a right or wrong way to feel
Its cruel, it's the pain of loss, but it gets dragged out so much it turns into longing to move on to try again but then you come full circle and mourn it's just something I've never felt before

I'm "sorry/glad" it's started @Blossomofhope tomorrow will be a new start for us all

Ahh I hope I don't, I am not really bleeding much. But the left sided pain has increased. I'll call the hospital tomorrow see what happens

@UrsulaSings123 maybe take a dose and see if it helps, you are potentially right maybe, but should taper off by tomorrow

How’s everyone doing today?
The clinic advised me to book in with the hospital regardless so I have an appt Thursday morning now. Hopefully will get the all clear. I can’t help but wonder are follicles already growing now or does it not work like that after a miscarriage.

My fitness tracker today is showing 97% recovery and my heart rate is back to pre pregnancy levels so I’m pretty confident that was it yesterday.

I hope all comes clear for you tomorrow

Sorry to hear @Pinktree87 .. I’m actually the same. Was in so much pain last night and still in pain today. Ibuprofen and hot water bottle help but it’s really not pleasant. I’ve taken today off work.

Is it expected to still have pain after a d&c? Do you need a follow up scan maybe? What’s the pain like?

@Blossomofhope hope your pain settles soon x Its a bit better today, I bled alot at night, today has been painful it in a sore way, so Im going to give it another day or 2. I'm WFH tomorrow then off for the week. Hopefully all over by end of week for us xx

@Blossomofhope how are you getting on? I had codeine prescribed when my miscarriage started naturally, it was so painful I was struggling to walk. I was surprised when the hospital scanned me before the surgery and said the pregnancy was all still there. Hope your appointment tomorrow goes OK.

@Pinktree87 hope you're feeling better now. I stopped bleeding a couple days ago, which has been a releif. I did bleed for a week before the procedure though so maybe got some of it out the way beforehand. Are you doing anything nice with your week off?

@Pinktree87 hopefully you’re nearly at the end of it all.
I still have cramping today but it’s def not as bad but I’m still bleeding. I’m so confused and very intrigued as to what this scan will say tomorrow. I did a pregnancy test yday and it was very dark but I don’t know if that’s normal for a few weeks even if I passed everything already.
I also keep wondering if the ovary pulsing feeling is follicles growing again for the next cycle. I have so much ewcm mixed in with bleeding all the time. Bit tmi apologies.

@Pinktree87@UrsulaSings123 The doc has given me the medication incase I want to take it as I still have a clot to pass. I have plans the day after next so not sure what to do.

@Blossomofhope how are you doing? I'm sorry I was in agony yesterday too, struggling to walk and medicine wouldn't touch it so I slept all day nearly
Today is better but I'm taking it easy

Did you pass the clot? I'm so sorry you're going through this, you'd hope after all that pain It would be over.
