Am I in denial? No heartbeat

Hello. I am 8.5 weeks pregnant. We know the date we conceived so even taking 5 days off for sperm surviving, I would be 8 weeks.

Went for a private early scan 2 weeks ago, could see gest sac, fetal pole and yolk sac. No heartbeat and told to come back 1 week later. CRL 2.1MM

1 week later, same as above but CRL 3.4MM. No heartbeat.

1 week later, same again but CRL 4.2MM. No heartbeat.

I thought she may be wrong so I booked a different place the following day. I was told CRL 3.8MM, gest sac 1.86CM and no heartbeat and to attend early pregnancy.

Both places scanned me internally.

But I still feel pregnant, haven't bled and just don't believe them. Am I in denial? I don't want to phone early pregnancy. I feel like I want to wait until 12 week scan which is in 3 weeks and hope for the best. Please help. Any advice at all please, I would be so greatful. Thank you

Hi everyone. I know it's not the thing to come on here and ask for medical advice, so just want to say I'm asking about experience rather than advice.

Surgical on Tuesday. Very light fresh red bleeding for a few days after. No bleeding whatsoever on Saturday. Yesterday, I had sharp pains that came and went quite quickly, then went to toilet and had the brown liver looking stuff when I wiped, along with more brown and bleeding. Has anyone that's had the surgical still had this after the procedure?

I'm waiting on a call back from hospital. As you all probably know, the last thing I want is yet another scan and this to continue in anyway. So I suppose I'm hoping someone will tell me this is normal. Please :(

Hi, Pancakes.

It is normal to bleed on and off for a few days after an ERPC.

The pain would have been your uterus expelling the very last of the miscarriage, I think, followed by the old (brown) blood.

If it persists they'll have to scan you again, but it should settle down now.

And please do come on here and ask for advice and experiences. It's so helpful to know that other women had the the same kind of thing.

@Pancakesandbutter sorry don't have experience with it but didn't want to not reply. Sending hugs. X

@Pancakesandbutter I was told bleeding for anything up to 2 weeks is normal and that it should get lighter and turn brown over time - you're within that timeframe so hopefully it's nothing to be concerned about. I had a couple of days of fairly light red bleeding, which then changed to brown spotting for a day or two then stopped. I also found after that for a couple of days that if I was more active, just stuff like going for a walk for an hour, it seemed to trigger more of the brown spotting. Fingers crossed for you that it settles down soon.

@Pancakesandbutter I often think about you and hope you're okay.
You had such an ordeal.
