Bleeding at 12 weeks, so sad...

I had been praying for this baby for so long I don't think I can get over it if I've lost my baby.

I'm 12 weeks today and about an hour ago I noticed a little spotting and it's getting worse.

Spoke to the maternity unit and as it's out of hours they've told me i can't be seen until tomorrow and that I should get some rest and take some paracetamol.

I can't lose my baby but I feel so helpless.

I'm not sure where you are based but some hospitals have walk in EPUs. I went to one at St George's in Tooting when I had bleeding, you just turn up fill in a form and are seen. Might be worth checking out if there is something like that in your area. Fingers crossed for you.

I bled during my first pregnancy. Not clots but plenty of blood and terrible cramping. I was such a mess they initially thought I was having an erotic pregnancy. I just turned up at the EPU and they scanned me. She's very much here! But if this is bad news I am very sorry for you. I wish women would talk more about miscarriage and that it wasn't such a taboo subject. I hope you are able to get a scan today.

Thank you for your suggestion. Had a google and the nearest walk in EPU is about one hour away. Will just wait for the private scan now.

I had a massive bleed with huge clots at 13 weeks, after having had three miscarriages, but I'm now 27 weeks and currently getting beaten up from the inside. I'm keeping everything crossed for you, OP. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

OP I wanted to reply to your post where you said you wished you hadn't told anyone. But I've been in your position and it was very lonely as I hadn't told anyone either. So I'll be telling everyone ASAP next time in case I need support at some point.

Just wish the bleeding would stop as that would give me more hope. Just getting ready to head out for the scan.

Unfortunately I don't have anyone to go with me, but it helps that all you lot are thinking of me x
