17 weeks and waters broke

I'm just so stunned I think I have to write it down in order to cope. This has been a long awaited DC2, we were trying for 18 months. Rocky start to the pregnancy - bleeding and a couple of early scans at the epu, which showed no problems everything fine, baby healthy. Just when I thought we were in the clear my waters broke this afternoon. I'm floored. At the hospital since 5pm waiting to see if I go into spontaneous labour. I'm only 17 weeks no chance for baby to survive, I'm just so crushed.

No words can help,
Take photos of your baby, when this happened to me I didn't know if it was right to do so, now I know it was and that's all I have left of him.
I really send my love to you and your family xxx

I've feeling quite low, I just want it to be over and the contractions don't seem to be getting any stronger.

Itscurtainsforyou · 19/03/2017 22:30

So sorry op. Have they suggested putting you on the hormone drip to speed things up? Either way hope that this is over soon, waiting for the inevitable is horribly painful.

fibrecruncher · 19/03/2017 22:39

paddypants13 - thank you, I think it's easier before we actually see the baby. I don't think I'll be so strong then.

TheFirstMrsDV, Haudyerwheesht, normanreedusWILLbemyhusband, thank you.

Itscurtainsforyou - I had an emcs with my first so they are taking a conservative approach due to the risk factors of the scar opening up.
