Aw betty, she's lovely! Love this thread. So much hope and positivity on here x

Canshopwillshop · 09/11/2015 11:54

Ah, lovely success stories and photos. Please can I add mine? I had 4 miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy before my successful pregnancy with DD who is now 11! Went to Prof Regan and was diagnosed with anti phospholipid antibody syndrome so had aspirin and heparin until 36 weeks. It worked!! DS came along 2 years later after same treatment. He is 9 today.
Wishing success to all of you still struggling - there is hope.

Sorry it's not a baby photo!

LovesApples · 09/11/2015 14:03

Canshop great picture and great news! Thanks for sharing and I second what many others said: this is the loveliest threat!

Marchgirl · 09/11/2015 18:48

Of course it's ok to post canshop, it's great to see survival stories of all ages Smile. Must have been a relatively new treatment at that point was it? I really hope some of the newer treatments some of us are on now become more mainstream in the future.

Canshopwillshop · 09/11/2015 21:35

Thanks ladies.
Marchgirl - yes it was a very new treatment pioneered by Lesley Regan - my miracle worker! I still get a thrill when I say 'my daughter' or 'my son' - I never take one day of having them for granted.

My little girl will be four in January. She was born when I was almost 44 and I had three losses the year before conceiving. My miracle girl.

Psst! 'Tis baking in disguise. I had a mumsnet-break after all the hacking malarkey and have a new user-name. Faith is doing really well, we go back to see her neurologist next month but happily nothing to report on the seizures front. She is well behind developmentally but making progress. I am beyond frustrated with the NHS since when we finally got to the top of the Portage waiting list we were told babies under 18m don't qualify, and when she becomes 18m she won't qualify because she goes to nursery, so we can go back to the paediatrician after 6 months and tell her nothing came of her referral and if it was left up to them absolutely nothing would have changed. Thank God for Snowdrop and for Mumsnet lessons in being a pushy middle class mummy!
