when you have a missed miscarrige, why doesn't your body realise your baby has died? and does that mean its less likely to because of an auto immune problem?

a friend told me in a way its good if your body does not go into mc mode straight away as it means your bodys really trying to hang onto the baby

so what im wondering is
1, why doesnt the body miscarry normally? why does the body try to hang onto to the baby?
2, if you have a mmc, does this mean its lesslikely to be beacause of an immune problem[say your body attacking the baby]
because surely if the body was attacking the baby a mc would happen faster

oh i am a bit of a wanna be florist too, as ive got into it since my son died as im always doing posies for his grave
tell me your ideas so far and colour schemes

oh ive been to mexico too. lovely, lovely beaches, great standards of hotel
although you might want somewhere with a shorter flight or even uk?
i dont think i would dare leave the country but that only due to previous bad experiences with pg!

what sort of service is it cival or church?

OP posts:
cartoonface · 13/09/2012 07:22

Yeh a short flight would be better wouldn't it. And of course I'm forgetting about all the appointments ill be having. So probably a UK one once babies born. I will go to Mexico at some point though been wanting to go for ages.
It's a civil ceremony. At the moment I like fushia pink and pale blue. I want an unusual colour theme. Ive always wanted the pink but change my mind constantly on the other colour.
I like anemones and gerberas. That's so lovely you make posies for his grave x

whiteandyelloworchid · 13/09/2012 15:15

yes how about cyprus, italy or spain?

oh i love fushia pink, but i like it with lime the best
i used fushia gerbas on my sons flowers the other week, we got some really nice, sprakly flower picks from hobbycraft, sort of diamantes on wires if you see hwat i mean and they look lovely, really nice.
anemones are lovely, you can get some that a deepblue/purple that would go well with fushia

what sort of reception are you having?

we went mad on flowers at our wedding and my son funeral.
tons of them everywhere!

Thanks for looking up those for me some good stuff there. Just been feeling really blooming miserable at the moment. How are u?

whiteandyelloworchid · 18/09/2012 21:20

oh there you are!

aw sorry to hear your feeling miserable, tbh thats totally how i feel too.
certain people i just cant be bothered with
still feel a bit unwell from the mc cannot believe how much its taken out of me mentally and physically

the consolutant got back to the midwofe about me, so its all a bit second hand and not like talking to the person directly but she doesnt want ot do any tests on me, something about its like searching for a needle in a haystack.
and that if i want to i can just take aspirin if theres a next time...

but ii t wasnt clear if she was reccomeneding i take aspirin, or just saying that if im worring than i can take aspirin if i chosse to

but i don't want to take something like aspirin if i dont have a clotting disorder.
i just want a few basic tests to see if i do have any clottign disorders or anthing

so think i shall talk to my gp next...

hows your week been?
how are you gettingon with the ov testing et?

OP posts:
cartoonface · 18/09/2012 21:43

That kinda sounds a bit like well take the asprin if u want! Not helpful. It is only a low dose ud need, 75g so may be worth a go?
Do u have a nice gp who u can talk it all through with?
Well at the moment I'm waiting for af I'm expecting it anytime this week. Have been feeling very premenstrual though.
I'm all stocked up with my meds, ov tests and preg tests. But not doing anything at the moment. I think I may end up not trying till Jan at the soonest. If I can manage to wait it would be so much better to make a start after the wedding. I won't have the stress of doing both things at once. The worry of early pregnancy. The side effects of the meds can be a bit horrible. Plus if I have a bump, that will cause dress problems. It's just really getting to me at the moment I feel a bit like I'm in limbo. And just can't decide what's best. Having a baby and getting married are both really important to me. But the way the timings worked out now they have a big effect on each other and I wish it wasn't like that.

whiteandyelloworchid · 19/09/2012 09:41

yes i will talk it over with my gp, im going ot ask her testing before i tell her what the consultant said.
i yes i didnt care much for the comment about its like looking for a needle in a haystack, wtf so what
i dont know if it didnt come across well though because its being told to me second hand if that makes sense
and i dont want to take asprin if theres no need and i dodnt want ot know take it if it could actually help
its drivng me mad now tbh

i personally would try and wait if i was you, but its only what i would do, as imagine having a mc over your wedding day.
doesnt bear thinking about
is there any way you could bring the wedding forward so then you can get on with ttc

OP posts:
cartoonface · 19/09/2012 10:25

i know that does scare me im sure its unlikely, id have to be the most unlucky person but the worry would be there. im actually going to contact the venue about it and see if they have any dates sooner.
when are you seeing the gp?

whiteandyelloworchid · 19/09/2012 20:08

good idea, thats what i'd do try and bring it forward.

think i'll make an appointment next week
