What's your experience of the patches ? Do they remain stuck on when showering ? Go advices twice a week ?

Estradot - tiny patches that stick on very well. No issues at all.

As I said in my post I'm on 100 which is 6.4 mg of estradiol in the patch this means it releases 100mcg of Estradiol every 24hrs.
I can't get 100s currently so having to use 2x 50
I also have a Mirena coil to provide Progesterone part of the HRT

Namaste6 · 11/11/2022 12:05

@novofem - 75s

Thank you for the numbers. I was taking femoston 2mg two years but my leg aches came back .. so now GP try patches at 50mg

I rarely have problems with Evorel Conti. I use two patches together a 50 and a 25 (there is no 75 combined). I stick them on my bum cheeks.

Tootsey11 · 11/11/2022 12:38

Alternative bum cheeks, bending slightly to apply so they are not taut when you stand straight. Never above waist line, never had a problem with this regime.

I use Evorel, stick them on my bum, and never have a problem. They’ve changed my life.

cleowasmycat · 20/02/2023 22:16

After trying 6 pumps gel the 8 sprays I am now on 125 Evorel patches.

Have you tried the estrogen gel? I just rub it in once a day. I have a Mirena IUD for the progesterone and that's all I need. Some of my friends have progesterone as a tablet instead of the IUD, but I prefer Mirena as it's the lowest dose possible and works well for me.

Patches stick like glue! Residue is a bitch! I will try baby oil.

novofem · 21/02/2023 15:35

I'm going to speak to the GP doubling up on Evoriel patches from 50 to 100 ... before I switch again to tablets

ive found Olive oil works well to remove hrt patch sticky mark. Rub with kitchen roll.

AnnaMagnani · 05/04/2023 12:55

Another Mumsnetter gave the tip to use the old patch to pull the glue residue off

This is an absolute gamechanger!

Really works and previously I was covered in grotty grey squares where I couldn't get the glue off.

MissCherryCakeyBun · 05/04/2023 16:04

@novofem did you have any luck with your HRT and the GP?

Utrogesten?

boschbabe · 05/04/2023 20:41

Just out of interest were you aware the new pre-payment card for HRT launched 1st April? I’m on evorel 100 and stick on bum cheeks. Baby oil is good for removing residue but most of the time I don’t bother and left with the attractive black outlines. You aren’t supposed to apply to same area each switch so like others I rotate bum cheeks! I used to apply to my thighs. Can’t remember why I stopped. I did find that they tended to come off after being in the swimming pool.
