What's your experience of the patches ? Do they remain stuck on when showering ? Go advices twice a week ?

I use Evorel and stick them on my bum cheek, have had no problems with them sticking.
As for the glue residue, I just wait til the day after I’ve removed the patch and then scratch it off in the shower.
Alternate bum cheeks though.

In the summer I went on a beach holiday and was worried about the patch coming off with being in water such a lot, but I used to change my bikini bottoms when getting out of the water to a dry pair and then if I went back in the water put back on the wet ones, and the patches were fine

Great idea switching cheeks :) thank you for the tips

Question ... use twice per week - which days do you switch patches?

@novofem I change mine on Sunday and Wednesday as I'm on Evorel too. They still have some hormones in them so it's not like it really matters one day being 4 days and 3 days.
I pop them ( I have 2 as I need 100 but can only get 50's currently) on my bum cheek and peel the others off the opposite side then rub in a good squish of baby oil to where they have been removed from and pop my big pants on.
I've been on them for 18 month and had no issues with sticking.
They must be put on your body below the waist and I find them most comfy on my bum cheek

MissPinkCakeyBun · 10/11/2022 19:33

The everol ones say they go below the waist by the way. The instructions are very clear on that. It's to do with absorption rates being much better in that area and also being away from breast tissue

IfOnlyOCould · 10/11/2022 20:37

I swim most days and do a lot of other sports resulting in lots of swearing and showering. My everol patches have never ever come unstuck. I put them on my bum. Left hand side then right hand side. I just scrub of the black outline in the shower or I ignore it.

mossiejayne · 10/11/2022 20:42

Does that mean you have a plaster stuck on 24 hrs a day? I wouldn't like it stuck on arms or thighs because of exercise classes.

Smashedavacado · 10/11/2022 20:43

Timely post. I picked up my first prescription of Evorol conti today! Have read all sorts of reviews. Feeling a little nervous.

Estradot - tiny patches that stick on very well. No issues at all.

I do Sunday evening and Thursday morning. That way they get 3.5 days each.

They seem to differ depending on brand.
I have Evorel & no issues.

I’ve just started on evorel & they stick fine.
It’s a bugger to get the adhesive off though.

I'm having a nightmare with Evorel patches at the moment, I can't get one to stay on for more than 24 hours.

I became allergic to the glue on the patches and had to change to gel. I much prefer it tbh

Don't put any body lotion or anything on your leg, patch straight on after shower

I don't think you're meant to put them on the arm @novofem . I'm sure the leaflet says you shouldn't put the patches above your waist line.
I've used Evorel and Estrodot. Estradot have the advantage of being smaller.
