So...
have you been invited to this year's summer party?
I'm not one of the select few.
Apparently the venue is the same as last year.....

There you go

And, tbh, if I was having a party at my house, not sure I'd put it on MN!

theuninvited · 31/07/2005 23:00

but the initial idea was a MN meet up, and then people are stirring by asking if you've been invited

Can see this thread will kick off...!

Angeliz · 31/07/2005 23:01

but wasn't it you asking?

WigWamBam · 31/07/2005 23:01

I know my place ...

theuninvited · 31/07/2005 23:02

just find it a bit unfriendly when some people are invited and some deliberately ignored, especially when the perpetrators are amongst those who always say there are no cliques on MN

lovecloud · 31/07/2005 23:06

I would not want to go anyway, i want to keep my identity under wraps. thats the beauty of mumsnet for me
i have been on here since autumn 2002 but i have changed my name a few times, as dh saw hee hee.

WigWamBam · 31/07/2005 23:06

I guessed ... I was ing in a post-modern, ironic sort of way

nutcracker · 31/07/2005 23:07

Are some of you really bothered, honestly ???

misdee · 31/07/2005 23:07

not really nutty, as i'd have to say no anyway

btw was the tornado near you or coddy at all?

sparklymieow · 31/07/2005 23:08

no I ain't bothered, would like to meet a few people on here, including Nutty!! but I really ain't worry about it.........

Angeliz · 31/07/2005 23:08

I'm not Nutty, i thought this was lighthearted.
I *have been invited to a few [inseert smug emotion!] but like to be anonymous anyway

Angeliz · 31/07/2005 23:09

Note to self 'learn to type before being smug!'

Ladymuck · 31/07/2005 23:09

Err TU what is the point in winding everyone up? At best it will just restrict the invites further? Surely your friend doesn't think that Beetroot would succomb to on-line pressure to host a party for te (unreliable) masses?

I don't think that there is anything stopping a group getting together to hold a summer party if they can be bothered to arrange it - I just think that Beety isn't volunteering.

nutcracker · 31/07/2005 23:09

Nope not near me (or cod, she doesn't live in brum now).

It was by a friend of mine though but she is ok.

theuninvited · 31/07/2005 23:09

yup deffo light hearted angeliz, you hit the nail on the head!
