All welcome!

The venue is to be the Giants Den in the Team Valley, Gateshead (just off the A1)

Princes Park
Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead, NE11

www.thegiantsden.co.uk

Date: To be agreed

I'm going to throw in the idea of going during February half term which I believe is 15th - 20th February.

Ok I think I've waffled on enough; what does everyone think?

Yey today is the day!

The Giant's Den, Gateshead

2pm, meet outside in the car park.

Be there, or be a Netmum

Hi, Amy and I'd like to come along too. Didn't think that I would be able to come as I would have had to leave too early to collect my son from school - but I've just heard that his afterschool club is back on today- woohoo trip out!

Laugs · 15/03/2010 11:06

Looking forward to meeting you all later!

juneybean · 15/03/2010 11:54

Great to see you all today though still not quite sure who I actually did meet iyswim .

juneybean · 15/03/2010 22:47

I was the nanny!

OP posts:
Laugs · 16/03/2010 08:45

I was wondering the same! I was the one sitting next to you with the baby.

BouncingTurtle · 16/03/2010 09:06

I was the freaky extended breastfeed who lost her 2 yo at several points, due to my crap supervision benignly neglectful parenting.

DS and I had fun on the go kart! He didn't sleep on the journey back (which took about 50mins) but he was good as gold. Wow a whole day where I didn't need to shout at him one for being naughty!

anniebigpants · 16/03/2010 10:29

Oh bugger! Ive just found this thread, i would have loved to have come to this meet up, never mind, theres always the next time!

Indith · 16/03/2010 13:54

I heard there was no cake.

Rubbish planning

Where next?

BouncingTurtle · 16/03/2010 17:13

We need to pick a date in April to go to Cafe Continental.

Preferably avoiding the school holidays.

Best days for me are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

juneybean · 16/03/2010 19:25

I have no idea what days are best for me.... I could be one of those freaky normal day workers by then

But yes best cake is at Cafe Continental

Anything from the 19th onwards should avoid Easter AFAIK.

Oh anymore North East meet ups happening soon?

spiggy · 14/05/2010 16:28

Hi sal, There is a Durham night out happening tomorrow! Look on the Durham 2010 thread and give us a shout if you want to come. If you can't make that then we will put our heads together and think of somewhere to go soon. Any suggestions? Most of us are happy as long as there is cake involved

DidYouDoThisOnMyHead · 15/05/2010 13:45

Hello! Just getting back on this thread

We must do something cake related next month.

juneybean · 15/05/2010 13:49

Just thought I'd throw some ideas up for park / beach ?

BettySwollux · 15/05/2010 13:57

Stealth just linked to a new adventure valley place in durham, but I cant find the thread now.
Sounds good, its opening soon.

Beach would be a bit of a 'mare for me juney. DS2 would keep trying to fling himself in the sea, resulting in a very stressed me and a soaking wet and grumpy him (cos he'd manage it eventually ).

DidYouDoThisOnMyHead · 15/05/2010 14:10

Betty, dd would be the same at the beach, she ended up skinny dipping in France at Easter

DidYouDoThisOnMyHead · 15/05/2010 14:11

this is the new adventure place SPB linked to.

juneybean · 15/05/2010 14:21

Oooh fair enough haha, to be fair, it'll be entirely up to you guys because chances are I'll still be working ( and ) LOL

OP posts:
juneybean · 15/05/2010 14:21

Actually it's right near where I work haha, wonder if I can sneak out for an hour to see you all!

OP posts:
BouncingTurtle · 16/05/2010 13:31

It definitely looks like an all dayer, as it is £8 for adults and £6 for the littlies, and there is a lot to do there.

I did notice there is a voucher for £2 off per person up until 27th May, so may be worth taking advantage of?

salsol123 · 16/05/2010 22:06

How old do kids have to be to go there? Is there an age limit or just all ages?
