January - I really want to go back to Cafe Continental in Durham! Any takers for coffee & cake?

It was lovely to see everyone- I was in such a daze I probably didn't even say a proper hello :)

spiggy · 29/08/2010 20:18

It was a lovely day, I didn't get to see much of the ceremony but the bit I did manage looked fab. And I thought your DH's outfit was brilliant!

I asked DS if he had a nice time. He thought for a bit and said "Yes. I had cake" Obviously the child of a Durham MNetter Grin

EasilyConfusedIndith · 30/08/2010 16:45

You looked wonderful Butterpie as did your dh and the girls and it was a lovely day. Dcs are now shattered after yet another wedding. Nobody else I know is allowed to get married for at least a year!

Would anyone like botanic coffee and cake this Friday am?

LeggyBlondeNE · 31/08/2010 11:06

Hello all!

Glad wedding went well and a good time was had.

Doing okay this end - finally made it through the night without having to call in my mum and with baby sleeping in her basket in between feeds and burps. Now just need to get her doing that more and more easily...

Also need to learn how to sleep during the day myself...

We haven't been out of the house yet and the idea is a bit scary but I shall talk to J about whether we can manage an excursion on Friday. Gosh, outside AND car seat!

FrozenNorth · 31/08/2010 13:35

Hello Leggy! Good to see you here and glad you're doing okay. Also fantastic to hear baby is sleeping in her moses basket (both mine refused) and it sounds like feeding's progressing well too Smile

Would be great to see you on Friday if you're both up for it - I know how daunting the anticipation of leaving the house can be. Reality does tend to be easier once you bite the bullet, and the great thing about little babies is that they're so portable. Cake is, as you will know, actually physically essential to breastfeeding, so make sure you get in this week's quotient Grin

StealthPolarBear · 31/08/2010 20:14

Good to hear the wedding went well Butterpie and you are well too Leggy :)

EasilyConfusedIndith · 01/09/2010 15:05

I'll toddle along on Friday :) Hope to see you Leggy.

StealthPolarBear · 01/09/2010 17:23

Hi Indith, so sorry I ahven't texted you, got back late both days, it's been hectic. Everything OK with you? We'll definitely be going to the playground this saturday, hope to see you there

LeggyBlondeNE · 02/09/2010 09:54

We've now`made it across the road for cake, and have a hearing screening on Friday at 9.15 ... so looks possible we'll make it to B Gs for cake after appt.

10ish?

EasilyConfusedIndith · 02/09/2010 18:11

Fine by me :) Expect I'll be there before that terrorising feeding the fish or running riot somewhere.

FrozenNorth · 02/09/2010 18:26

Ten-ish sounds good for us - will aim for one of the picnic benches if weather is half decent. I may have my toddler on an extending dog lead to prevent her wading into the pond again (sadly joking but, oh, if only ..)

EasilyConfusedIndith · 02/09/2010 18:29

Ooooh good idea. I could get one for dd and we could tether them Grin

StealthPolarBear · 02/09/2010 20:16

Have a good time tomorrow :)

EasilyConfusedIndith · 03/09/2010 12:19

LittleLeggy is so cute!

SPB we shall certainly be around the park on Saturday and toddling around the village to see the scarecrows. There is a map in the bus shelter showing where they will be.

StealthPolarBear · 03/09/2010 14:28

Envy of baby seeing (and holding too I bet)
oooh thank you, now I've rturned the form I can't remember what's happening when! 11-1 is drop stuff off and measure sunflowers etc, what time does the thing actually start?

FrozenNorth · 03/09/2010 20:26

Mmmmm, LittleLeggy really is scrummy (and I got a cuddle! She has such a lovely little nose and gorgeous little ears ...)

Sorry to make you more Envy Stealth!

Lovely to see you all - what a nice morning.

EasilyConfusedIndith · 03/09/2010 20:26

drop off stuff in morning then in the afternoon they will be judging everything. Village hall opens again at 5 for results, apple pie and cider and the auction off all the jam, cake, fruit and veg entries.

I didn't get a hold which clearly means we will have to have more cake so I can remedy that Grin

Seriously Leggy she is beautiful, has a beautiful name and you look like you are doing amazingly well :)

StealthPolarBear · 03/09/2010 20:29

Can someone hint as to the name? Don't say it, but are there any NE MNers with a child of the same name?
(I only know a few though!)

EasilyConfusedIndith · 03/09/2010 20:31

Don't want to say in case Leggy doesn't want in on here, I can tell you tomorrow though :)

StealthPolarBear · 03/09/2010 20:50

Oh no that's why I wanted a cryptic clue that only a Durham MNer would know :) I can wait though.
So are you still entering a cake tomorrow? I might have my eye on that one!

EasilyConfusedIndith · 03/09/2010 20:55

I am entering a cake yes. The jam seems to be turning into a disaster though, my fault for leaving it to the last minute! BLoody thing won't set, I am very Confused.

StealthPolarBear · 03/09/2010 21:11

oh dear
Why don't you em...
How are your DS and DD doing?

EasilyConfusedIndith · 03/09/2010 21:14
Grin

Such a same though, tis spiced apple jelly and it is such a pretty colour.

Dcs are lunatics as usual :) How are yours? The girl child doing and new tricks?

FrozenNorth · 03/09/2010 22:28

Is it too late to add something else containing pectin? I use lemon juice when things are looking iffy re: setting.

(Am closet jam maker - friends mock me for being aspiring WI member - but maybe I can come out of the closet here?)
