January - I really want to go back to Cafe Continental in Durham! Any takers for coffee & cake?

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2010 17:45

andeven if theyare doing it i prob won't need to be in, but worth checking

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2010 17:47

Easily did you hear from S? is she having a baby tomorrow?

EasilyConfusedIndith · 28/06/2010 17:52

I've not caught her. Just realised her mobile is onthe contact list though so will send her a message, don't really want to ring and badger her tonight.

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2010 17:56

ooh yes that occuredto me and i planned to text her...then i forgot
ifyou do it i might text U, see if she's heard anything

FrozenNorth · 28/06/2010 18:46

I'd be up for a last minute meet-up this week: got to make the most of last month of mat leave. Coffee to drink, cakes to consume and all that.

Waves at LeggyBlonde

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2010 18:52

I start back in August too - get a temp reprieve as I'm off Tuesdays and Wednesdays until September
Thursday then? (our useless builders permitting)

FrozenNorth · 28/06/2010 19:50

Ooo yes - I hope your builders permit. If they do, any preference as to location? If central Durham, Leonards is v good although quite small.

EasilyConfusedIndith · 28/06/2010 19:55

Thursday is good :-) 10 ish? Always seems like a reasonable cake time.

SPB have sent her a text to say both you and I have missed her at the group and hope all well.

EasilyConfusedIndith · 28/06/2010 19:57

Hmm yes Leonards is a bit small, depends how many sproglets we have with us . We've always found Cafe Continental to be very nice at putting up with us taking over the downstairs with an assortment of pushchairs and rampaging infants. Hmmm muffins and Leonards or Cheesecake at Cafe COntinental. Decisions decisions.

MyPurpleDove · 28/06/2010 20:16

Sorry, I'm on a course all day thurs, so cant come.
I keep missing the cafe continental meets .
My friend used to be cake maker there, will have to ask her to bake me something.

EasilyConfusedIndith · 28/06/2010 20:18

Now that is a friend worth having

BouncingTurtle · 28/06/2010 20:31

I'm working on Thursday so I can't come. Maybe next time!

24th would be better for me for night out!

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2010 20:42

well what about Friday - any better?

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2010 20:43

sorry that was to MPD and BT

BouncingTurtle · 28/06/2010 20:43

Yes I can do Friday... what time?

MyPurpleDove · 28/06/2010 20:50

Friday, possibly better.
Having a bit of a nightmare ATM, the woman I was mentoring for the case study on my course has dropped out, I have just got a stand-in, but need to do at least 3 sessions and the write up by a week on thurs......aaaarrrggh!

Will let you know.

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2010 20:53

Friday looking better then...everyone else?

FrozenNorth · 28/06/2010 22:55

Friday's good for me, and so's Cafe Continental - when you've visited before, was there room to bring in pushchairs or is baby carrier the way to go?

BouncingTurtle · 29/06/2010 06:53

We normally take over the downstairs(so we will be easy to spot as the downstairs isn't very big), there is room if you have a pushchair that will fold flat, and we can tuck it out of the way. I would take the carrier with you. There will be plenty of us who don't have babes in arms who will take the baby off you for a while if necessary!

EasilyConfusedIndith · 29/06/2010 08:05

Friday is fine

StealthPolarBear · 29/06/2010 09:31

right. so friday, cafe continental, 10am? chocolate truffle cheesecake

oh sorry, that's notes for me...

builder-type people still not here...

LeggyBlondeNE · 29/06/2010 10:36

Friday at CC sounds good. I was considering having a work-at-home day on Friday, but actually a work-in-a-cafe day might improve my paper-editting rate...!

EasilyConfusedIndith · 29/06/2010 11:16

You just keep telling yourself that leggy

Stupid builders SPB.

StealthPolarBear · 29/06/2010 12:14

aaargh it gets worse and worse
We have a wasps nest
and we've just had a power cut (whole street, not just us)
I really plan to be there on Friday and at the moment should be fine but apologies in advance if I stand you lot up again!

BouncingTurtle · 29/06/2010 12:28

We understand, SPB. We will just never speak to you again ;)
