Ok.
WE really need to get this sorted if we are to hold a party this year.
As it seems i've somehow managed to volunteer to organise it we figuered we'd just go back to the Hat & Tun as last year's do was so succesfull.

We have a preliminary date of the 28th November.

Last year everyone paid £20 towards venue hire and food ( which was delicious) so if everyone is agree'd we will just do that agin this year.

so if everyone that is interested in coming could PLEASE list your names on this thread so that we know this will be a viable event.

otherwise i need to phone pizza hut and book a booth

Oh and i don't know how you make threads sticky but if someone does....could they?

Mamazon, what's the deadline for payment?

I think I'd like to come but I need a few things to fall into place first, work Christmas do, DH availability etc etc.

I am in South Wales by the way in case anyone else is down this way. I always like an excuse to get back to London though!

HeadFairy · 22/09/2009 17:38

Is there some way other than on this ginormous thread we can pair people up if they're coming from the same part of the world?

I am in awe of people coming from South Wales to this meet up! I'm only 13 miles outside London (lightweight emoticon!!).

MaureenMLove · 22/09/2009 20:16

I can vouch for the gobbiness of Ms K Bear!

indiechick · 22/09/2009 20:16

Would it be okay if I come along? I don't know anyone but it would be nice. I don't have paypal though, could I send someone a cheque?

merryberry · 22/09/2009 20:43

yes badges. wish i'd kept last year's now.

for anyone havering about coming due to not knowingness etc, last year i just thought feck, i'll go. not pg this year, can. as happened, went along with someone from antental group. all was very laid back, everyone got on. i ate all the scampi, job done. admittedly i do have the social anxiety of a lamppost, but even i could see it was a chilled out thing. was a funny evening, with dancing and drinking and not-dancing and not-drinking as people wanted. all worked out.

cornsillk · 22/09/2009 20:47

Does anyone want to reveal which hotel they're staying in then? I need to share a taxi with someone - don't fancy traipsing across London on my own.

mrspnut · 22/09/2009 21:11

If I stay at my friend's then I'll be coming from Dalston. If I stay in a hotel then I'll probably be at the Hilton in Islington because it's my favourite and I know where everything is from there.

If there's another hotel closer then I'd consider staying there. We have offices in Clerkenwell but I never stay around there.

cornsillk · 22/09/2009 21:13

Is the Hilton near to the venue?

angelene · 22/09/2009 21:16

Riven if I come it will probably be on the Friday I'm afraid, otherwise I'd definitely be your train buddy. Maybe on the way back on Sunday?

Kbear - it's less than 2 hours from Newport, it used to take me nearly that long to get from Chiswick to Carshalton on a Sunday to see my grandparents! It's really not that far and the MN do would be a hook to hang a pre-Christmas London weekend on IYSWIM,

Kbear · 22/09/2009 21:29

I think the Hilton is about a five minute cab ride from the pub. It's in Upper Street, Islington. I want to stay in the hotel

mrspnut · 22/09/2009 21:40

Or about 15 minutes on the bus. I go everywhere in London by bus because I miss living there so much.

Shoshe · 22/09/2009 22:34

Is anyone going from Dorset, or on the Salisbury to waterloo line?

Want to come but HATE cities with a passion and is scared {shakes in shoes}

lowrib · 22/09/2009 23:42

The Hilton's not very near exactly, but also not very far in a cab. But it's pricey! If you can afford the Hilton, it's doable as you can afford the cab there I guess!

A good site for finding hotels is www.laterooms.com

cornsillk · 23/09/2009 06:21

I would rather somewhere less pricey then!

Shoshe · 23/09/2009 06:23

Cornsilk so would I

cornsillk · 23/09/2009 06:28

I'm after cheap but swanky!

Shoshe · 23/09/2009 06:42

Where are you coming from Corny

If you find one, will you let me know, am not keen on traveling to the other side of London to my Brothers at night on my own, so would rather stay close to venue
