So, with all these mumsnetters in Kent and especially Medway, how about it?

Who will come?

I think I can probably come too - no promises yet as I may have to do some juggling of plans, but it should be ok.

Fio2 · 23/05/2005 17:41

I cant really catch a bus with dd as her wheelchair doesnt always go on the easy access things

not being awkward though, i am quite happy to bow oput and go on the next one

Dingle · 23/05/2005 18:07

Who is needing to travel by train or bus? Is it just Fio and Cadders? Is there anywhere you could both get to easily?

I am sure the drivers amongst us don't really mind where it is!

cadbury · 23/05/2005 18:11

I can get there pretty easily by bus.
Fio, they are the easy access busses on that route. Alternatively, could we try a taxi from Chatham station?
I don't mid where we meet really, its just a case of finding somewhere with enough space for us all (and our kids).

how many will there be? for defo, ie no kids with shits at the last minute (only joking dingle)

Dingle · 23/05/2005 18:22

DS has sicky bug ATM!!! Missed our god-daughters communion yesterday.....

oh no...should be OK defo...dd has just thrown up too. Let's get it over and done with this week!

Must go.

Fio2 · 23/05/2005 18:25

yes dd did projectile vomiting on saturday wasnt really entertainly esp with visitors

Dingle · 23/05/2005 18:30

I should change my username to Jinxed!! Why does nothing ever go to plan in my little existence?

Fio2 · 23/05/2005 18:32

but dingle you are wonderful, so dont worry about the shitty pants we never notice

Dingle · 23/05/2005 18:38

Do you think projectile vomit would go un-noticed too!

Fio2 · 23/05/2005 19:26

we could catch it in a dish, but not a plate-that never works........

Dingle · 23/05/2005 19:45

How about I take a bucket. If one of the kiddies takes poorly, it may cone in handy for use at one end or the other. If they are feeling OK and full of beans, then perhaps I could wear it over my head to wane my embarrassment as they run riot everywhere.

vict17 · 23/05/2005 19:53

Hi everyone - only just seen this and would love to come. I'm another one who trains it!! Fio - I think we were going to meet up ages ago in Canterbury!!

cadbury · 24/05/2005 09:46

Hi Cadbury! I'm fine thanks!! Now where is this meet up going to be again, I'm getting awfully confused!!!

HughJarse · 25/05/2005 12:40

Now how can I say this, ok I'll just say it. Unless we change the venue, I'm pretty sure Fio won't come. If she can't come then I will probably go and visit her, so she isn't too lonely on her own. Have we even decided on a day yet?

Dingle · 25/05/2005 13:05

I think we are going for Wednesday 1st June. But depending on who is coming along, where exactly I don't know.

If it's only Cadders and Fio that are travelling by train/bus, then I can work around them- I really don't mind where.

Caligula · 25/05/2005 13:06

The last venue I remember being mentioned was the Strand at Gillingham. Has there been any advance on this?

lunarx · 25/05/2005 19:43

i'm in Wrotham (in Kent, near Maidstone / Sevenoaks) ... would be interested in a meet-up.. ds is 11 months old....

Fio2 · 26/05/2005 08:11

i have a fridge being delivered on wednesday

cadbury · 26/05/2005 11:09

Oh Fio!

Look everyone. I only suggested the Strand because it was somewhere we cold have a picnic. I will try to get anywhere else if I can. I just don't know where else we could meet with all our kids etc. If someone else will make a suggestion, I'd be happy to go with it.

Oh go on then I'll make a suggestion, how about the Dane John Gardens in Canterbury. There is a little maze for the kids to play in, plenty of room for footie for older ones and lots of grass and benches for grownups to sit around in the sun. It's right near the station and very easy for me and Fio to get too I can make any day next week apart from Friday.
