So, with all these mumsnetters in Kent and especially Medway, how about it?

Who will come?

So it could be Tuesday 31st,Wed 1st or Fri 3rd!!!!

Cadbury · 17/05/2005 19:39

In theory, I could do any of those days.

Where'll we go?

OP posts:
Dingle · 17/05/2005 19:42

I should be OK wherever! I'll have both kiddies with me, so somewhere suitable for the buggy if possible. It would be great to meet up for a picnic somewhere-weather allowing!!

Cadbury · 17/05/2005 19:44

I'll have both of mine too. What about The Strand? I think I can get there by bus but is it possible to get there easily from the train station?

The Strand? Wossat?

SleepyJess · 17/05/2005 22:25

The Strand,Caligula, is where I recently had the pleasure of meeting, gazing at, smiling at.. and being smiled at by..and shaking the hand of.. the lovely Mr. Blair! (Oh and his sidekick Mr. Brown!)

It's a country park type place.. with a paddling pool, play area, little train, swimming pool, cafe etc. Just off the Lower Rd I think.. but double check that.. I am crap with directions..!

Caligula · 18/05/2005 15:03

Could we not get hold of some Adams Family kid's costumes? Or get them to come dressed as tomatoes or something, so they were totally incognito?

cadbury · 20/05/2005 13:30

so, what have we actually decided? Is the strand/riverside coutry park too chavy for everyone or can we cope? what day are we looking at? tired old brain isn't really up to decifering the whole thread to find out.

OP posts:
Dingle · 20/05/2005 13:39

I've had to book an appointment in for that week, on 31st (tues) but can still do Wednesday 1st or Friday 3rd.

I don't mind where we go Cadbury.I can work around those who need to go by public transport.
Is the Strand OK for everyone to get to?

cadbury · 20/05/2005 13:41

I can get there by bus but I'm not sure where it is in relation to the train station for Fio et al.

I can do any day that weekk I think. Shall we say Wednesday 1st June?

BTW Dingle, can you text me your address so I know where to bring the cat on Sunday evening.

OP posts:
cadbury · 20/05/2005 19:00

Right, I've had a look. Fio would be able to get there by getting the train to Chatham and taking the 176 from just outside the station to the Strand. Thats the only bus that goes to it and goes anywhere near a train station. I will be getting that bus anyway so I could travel with Fio. How does that sound?

A picnic at the Strand on Wednesday 1st June?

OP posts:
Caligula · 20/05/2005 19:20

With kids?

cadbury · 20/05/2005 19:31

well I'll have mine with me >

Mine are 4 and nearly 2. I'll bring a ball.

OP posts:
Dingle · 20/05/2005 19:33

I'll have my 2 with me.Being half term, it's the only way I can meet up really! So I'll be the one running around like a lunatic and not getting 5 seconds to talk to anyone!

Dingle · 20/05/2005 19:34

I'll bring a buggy and a straight jacket !
